The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT2| It's 98 All Over Again

The forecast thingy makes it easier for me to manage rain.

Love the shrines in this game. Some clever puzzles. Haven't had to look online lol

Did we find out if it's possible to fully max out your hearts and stamina yet? Or are you force to choose to cut one by the end of it all?

just in the twitter link further up in the page some people said you can't, apparently we'd need 12 orbs more

I did 90 degrees flat turn. The ball lands at the final rail. Still had problems to flicked it up properly though.

Want to know how I solved it? By attempting to do exactly this for about 5 minutes BUT THE MOTION CONTROLS IN PORTABLE MODE WERE SO FUCKING BAD I COULDN'T EVEN DO THIS WITHOUT SENDING THE BALL FLYING THIS FUCKING GAME.

In the end I got lucky and one of the times I sent the ball flying it happened to come down and land in the right place.

That's what I meant, you flick the ball up and have it land at the hole. It does take a few tries, but they're nearly instantaneous instead of having to navigate the maze each time. What's five minutes for someone with a username and avatar directly referencing IWBTG? :)

You can also use stasis to just hit the ball out of the maze.

I'll have to try that next time, it didn't seem like stasis would help there.

Does anyone know the reward for the snowboarding mini game?

I've been leaving so many things behind and I'm trying not to be stingy with my weapons! Damn I love this game.

Just finished my first great beast today, good puzzles but not very difficult.

I just did that today and got a
standard soldier shield

Really love exploring these remote areas and discovering stuff the world is SO big. I don't know if I'd want it to be any bigger.

I love this game way too much and I work from home and I'm not the kind of person who can just play a little here and a little there, so I'm not working and playing and playing and doing nothing but play. Jobs are starting to build up and I'm finding that my tension to finish is building which hurts things in a way because I can't just take my time as relax my way through this beautiful world.

Hmmmm.

I'm not sure what to do now. Just got the (Hateno main quest spoilers)
Sheikah Slate+
and I've gotten two of the me
mories from going to places
.

Should I do the great beast quests now?

Just randomly came across the (horse related)
white royal horse randomly and ended up getting the royal saddle and stuff to go with it by talking to the guy at the stable. Why am I so happy from this

Gotta admit... its really rewarding to figure out a Shrine. Some of the puzzles are super trolling though. And thank GOD that they are named because the names of shrines are a huge clue.

I did my first great beast after unlocking the entire map, a full extra wheel of stamina, one heart less than the full first row and all but two of my memories... it doesn't really matter but there are some interesting rewards for doing the beast I seem to have seen here on GAF so I'm going to do them all now. Sort of...

You let the game tell you the solution. Im convinced that was made for gamers like us that are too used to the game telling them what to do. Kind of like a last resort for the devs so the players realize "oh so there is cooking and I can use it to get an item".

Besides just experimenting creating different anti cold food and ignoring the clothes, there are other ways that I discovered later in the game and then realized they were availible in the plateau.

Edit: heck some players didnt even get the clothes by trading food for it, they got kt for free in the plateau after the game congratulated them for navigating the peaks without them.

and that's all good, the point is there are different ways to go about doing things. and that's a step in a very good direction for the series

i never claimed to have found the best or most creative solution to the problem

Wow, so I happened to run into the very first "invisible wall" in the game blocking my progress (which was not really invisible, since it was an actual wall and the game just blatantly told my I couldn't progress further lol).
But now I definitely have no idea how to get onto the very western mountain region at the very end of the map - it's got to be possible, why else would they have put it on the map, however I haven't figured it out yet.

I named that horse
Zelda
.

It's equally rewarding to not understand a shrine and be able to succeed via cheesing with magnesis or bombs. I've ignored mechanics in a few of them successfully so far.

I don't think I've ever had as epic of a showdown as fighting a white lynel in the middle of rain in a thunderstorm and I put on my
fully upgraded rubber armor
which makes me shock immune and I use the bolts to hurt him as well.

It's really dumb that explosive barrel damage alongside fire jellies doesn't stack or atleast increase in some sort of meaningful way. Just spent a little while setting up a huge explosion that did such meager damage.

damn. I've ran out of white lynels. And blue lynel I had found didn't drop the guts I was missing.

Guess I now have to wait for a blood moon and hope it appears lol. Also the difference in damage a white lynel does vs a blue one was redunk. Like a white lynel would take off almost all of my health per hit. A blue lynel barely took off 1-2 hearts.

I think I'm ready to take on that Lynel at Zora's Domain now. I have gone through my training montage. I got this.

I'm disappointed at how few side quests there are in the
Tabantha
region. At least there are some shrine quests but I wish there were more considering that its a major region.

I would love a sidequest DLC. Just gimme 10 more in each region. I'd pay fat stacks for that.

So after completing the great plateau, I've been exploring mostly and haven't even touched the first objective. I love doing the shrines. I feel so happy when I complete one on my own :).

I love how the world is so alive. A complete opposite of Horizon which I'm also playing.

So I'm in the North West region of the map and it's a snowy region. I'm using my cold resistant elixers and whatnot but the cold is still damaging me. Not sure what to do, I NEED TO GET THAT TOWER AND FINISH MY MAP!

Have any cold resistant armor? Two pieces of armor (or just one and a elixir) should get you through that place. The Rito Village has a armor set you can check out for that.

I wish every set had a set bonus, it's unfortunate that two of the best looking sets have no bonuses and therefore almost no real reason to wear them in their entirety.

The Hylian set should have a sprint stamina use reduction bonus, kind of how the climbers set and zora set have one for climbing and swimming. So it kind of really feels like a "wanderlust" set.

The Solider's set could have something like increased shield parry frames to make you really feel like a skilled fighter.

You need more cold resist, there are levels of resistance.

ZOMG I decided to explore the beach along the
Faron Sea
from west to east. Had a ton of fun adventures on the way, BUT imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon
a tiny fishing village called Lurelin
:O I dunno how I managed to avoid spoiling it for myself. It's absolutely beautiful! And they have
gambling
! I also found
Eventide Island
(which I had heard about), but I'm going to save that for later.

This game is pure delight.

PETA is Ganon

ganon is secretly misunderstood

You stole my Horse's name.

yall need to get on my level. Gave it a red mane and called it Rapidash.

I asked this in the spoiler threa but I'll throw it out here too. Does anyone know how long it takes the shops in the villages to get arrows back for sale after you buy them all? I'm going on 28 hours and they are all still empty.

The
Vai
set should be able to be upgraded! That top is fierce.

Hoping that Nintendo go crazy with DLC stuff.
