I get that the rain is irritating (I kind of like it myself, muh immersion etc). But the waterfall is visible on your map or from any vantage point in Zora city. I don't think this is an issue with that "quest" design, which is open enough that I assume you can just get lightning arrows anywhere else if you don't even want to get up there.Such great design you have to search youtubes to see how to get back to the second main quest of the game. And Nintendo is trying to cockblock youtubes as well.
lol you poor soulNowhere near the same.
BUT for full disclosure, I am particularly irritated now because I forgot how to get up to the Lynel with the electric arrows and have spent twohours trying to figure out how to get up there again. I think maybe it involved a waterfall but because I have neither found that waterfall again nor can I explore by water to find it because of theFUUUUCKINGstamina system, I'm pretty much stuck running around any path I can find to see if one of them actually gets up there. So far they all just run stupidly large circles around stupidly high cliffs you can't climb because of the stupid rain.way-over-applied

Is there a way to swim in super cold water? My cold resistance does nothing...

Venting:
WiiU version here. Game is great, incredible even, but those review scores... Wow, I think this game has waaaaaay too many tiny niggles and some greater overal design problems to merit such high scores to just ignore those or write them off.
- Inventory management is ok at best, but pales in comparison to a lot of contemporary games. Dropping weapons is a total chore. Why can't I just hold the pick up weapon button to switch?
- Cooking is a drag. Go into menu. Hold wanted items. Cook items. Wait for 2 seconds while the game plays an annoying tune. Done.
- No shortcut nor hotkey to consume health items. Gotta go into that menu again.
- Horses control like arse. I really don't know where all the "best horses in any video game" stuff comes from. Sure, you can bond, etc... But when they still control like crap afterwards, what's the point?
- Framerate DOES get in the way of gameplay and enjoyment. I've had the game freeze on me for a second or longer numerous times.
- WiiU remote touch screen capabilities are non-existant. Could make item and inventory management a lot more fluent when done right.
- Boring fetch- side quests.
Had to get this out of my system. Hoping for a patch!
It took three shields and two fairies, but I beat my first guardian. He didn't drop an ancient core.
What's Gamestop's refund policy?
I was thinking about the Master Sword and how I'd have handled it in this game.
Instead of having it have a 10 minute downtime, it should have a high base power of 50-60 but have it drop by 1 with each hit against a non-Guardian/Malice enemy. And it can recharge 1-2 power points every minute or something. That way it's rarely un-usable but still discourages you relying on it too much.
Why are the dungeons so awful while everything else is amazing, did Nintendo forget that they could put more time into then
Just throw the weapon away?
You can climb the spire just fine with a single stamina upgrade. I explored Hyrule castle a couple times immediately after the Great Plateau.I rushed Hyrule Castle early on in the game. Like with 4 hearts early. I was determined to get to the tip-top of the tallest tower. In any game that has any traversal mechanic, that is always my first MO. I blame it on Spiderman 2 and my relentless dive-bombing off Empire State. Needless to say, I was sorely disappointed when I came to what seemed to be an impossible lip to go over. I'd never get on the roof.
Nearly 90 hours playtime later, I decide it's time to kill Ganon. After killing Ganon, I decide why not use Ravali's Gale to try and get around the lip. AND IT WORKED. I was so happy, because not being able to get to the top made me beyond bummed. Felt like a fitting end to everything.
End-game picture spoilers (I plan to put together a panorama):

Beat the game with 84 shrines, and 186 Korok Seeds with 95 or so hours clocked. I haven't found the last Great Fairy Fountain. I intend to play to absolute completion. Without a doubt my favorite game in a long time. Haven't had this much fun fucking around since Just Cause 2.
I greatest wish is to see the bosses improved upon in the successor. Seeing dungeons with different art styles as well would be nice. Larger Shrines, and variations in Korok puzzles would be nice too. Luckily the sense of exploration was so entertaining and rewarding that it offset some of the typical missing pieces.

I'm really astonished that the English VA is apparently so bad. They actually did hire a lot of well-known dubbers for the German VA, and it sounds great.fixed![]()

horses control like shit because you have to tame them before they work well, that's a mechanicVenting:

I've only done one (Vah Ruta), and I love the concept of the Divine Beasts, and the interior is also wonderful, but I do have one (huge) point of criticism. THEY'RE WAY TOO DAMN SHORT. They're also pretty easy. I cleared Vah Ruta in, like, thirty minutes or so.
I sure hope the other three Divine Beasts are significantly longer and more challenging, but I honestly doubt it. Such a shame, because BOTW is shaping up to be otherwise a sheer perfect game.
I'm over the 50 hour mark and the vast majority of side quests absolutely are fetch quests. How far are you in this game? Most the side quests are not like this at all.

Sounds like they nailed the VA in all languages except for english. They should have hired real British actors instead of faking the accent
I don't pee it.
Where are the easter eggs?
