I'd figure just as much, but
the only town I saw near the mountain is also in the catch on fire zone. Is it around the other side of the mountain or???

No you have to get their without the armor. Buy
fire elixers
at the nearby stable.

It won't complete it if you don't have the quest. That's my problem. I haven't found one of the quest givers and I can't find a complete list of quest names so I can go through my completed list and cross reference.

OH! You are trying to find the actual quest for a completionist goal. Got ya.

The secret to killing the lynels is to learn to perfect parry all their moves, use stasis, use shock arrows and mount them. Also guardian++ weapons plus rank 2 ancient armor do A lot of damage.
Eh all I did was dodge their moves and hit them with arrows when they do something slow

Still fun/hella difficult

Can anyone tell me if I need some kind of item or power to open this chest? If I don't need something new I would appreciate a tip without spoiling exactly how to do it.

This is the first shrine after the Great Plateau following the path in the main quest, where there are some fans blowing wind. Using the para-glider I can get very close to it but I will still fall. I'm already on the village, but leaving this behind is bugging me more than it should.
try going higher up then glide down? You may learn other things in due time that would help.

It's funny, this is the first one I skipped, haven't gone back to it. Still have no idea lol, maybe if I went back my knowledge would help me.

Thanks. I'll tackle the fight first.

I dont think therr is a way of explaining it without spoiling what it is but
there is a extra scene in the ending that you get if you have all the memories. I dont think its an important scene ot anything but its there.

The way you reach any distant landmark in this game.
The problem with this chest is that your timing for the jump and opening the glider has to be extremely accurate. Failed at my first attempts too.

Edit: Just read you did not want it spoiled. You have everything you need to get to it. No items required.

You don't anything extra at all,
use the wind

So far none of the shrines I have completed required an specific item or upgrade

ALSO! Wtf is going on here, I was just ducking around in menus and:

asZQlr6.jpg

I'm missing a whole dang ability?

Is it
sneaking up quietly behind an enemy and stabbing them in the back when the action command tells you to press Y? (I think it's a sneaky strike or something)

Same thing happened to me. I got the reward for completing all the shrines but I'm missing one according to the shrine quest log. I looked at the official guide and I did complete every shrine but for some reason the one
where you have to fight the possessed dragon
doesn't show up in my quest log. I went back to that particular place and there's nothing I can do. It's a bug I guess...

I don't know if it impacts the completion rate but it's a bummer, I love having a perfect Zelda save file and it's not going to happen this time =(

As someone who loves to 100% zelda there is no way in hell I will ever do that in BotW with the sheer amount of seeds it has.

played this on my plane ride to Atlanta this morning. From JFK(NY) to Atlanta

1 hour 45 minute flight and I did not find a place to plug my switch in the tight ass seats I had

battery did fine I did not even play with the settings

I'm curious as to how everyone is measuring their progress?

I'm spending a lot of time just heading in random directions and seeing what I can find. Stopping for shrines here and there to try and boost my stats.

I'm leaving the divine beasts well alone for now. Everything still feels like a challenge to me. I'm not taking any encounter for granted. Bulking up is my main priority I think.

The fact that an electric Kyese can kill me in more or less two hits really bugs me 😅

Where are the best hunting spots? I need some rupees.
If you're early game, go to the farm and hunt deer at Hateno village. Two raw prime meat cooked together will give you 60 rupees. Raw meat will give you 20 rupees when cooked.

If you're late game, go to Hebra stable and hunt the animals nearby

Yeah, I know, that's my one consolation. No way I'll ever find every Korok seed, even with a map. They went way overboard with that stuff. 100 Skulltullas I could deal with, but they lost their mind here!

Gotta cook up some meals or find better armor! 😜

You only need 400-something for the best "real" reward. There's such a surplus at 900 so you can get everything you need by playing the game "normally"

I finally paraglide in to Goron City (in flames). It is my first visit. First thing I did in the city is to find the armour shop and buy the armour. All in all I took 3 hearty meals (4 hearty durian + 4 apples). The first one I took while climbing to a nearby peak before I paraglide to the city. I was surprise with how close I could get to the city before the lava heat was unbearable for link. The second meal was after I landed. I learnt that the heat meter reset when I talk to a Goron. So I would be in flame, talk to a Goron, and not in flame again. After the talk, I had a few seconds before going in flame again. So I abused that along my way to the amour shop. When I made it to the armour shop I had to take the third meal cause I was about to die. The shopkeeper mentioned that I shouldn't run along the city with what I was wearing (no fire resist/fire proof). I took his advice and bought the armour and now I am exploring the city. Oh and I just find the shrine nearby.

Oh man I'm working on it. I've got upgraded knight armour but I have a weird feeling metal armour makes electric attacks more powerful.

And in fairness, I only have 6 hearts anyways so it's not like I'm far through the game with loads of health. I have however just cooked some food that gives me a full heal plus 7 extra hearts, so I'm pretty stoked about that 👌

I can't seem to get an answer on this from google, but can you keep playing after you finish the main quest? I am coming from Elder Scrolls approach to open world, where you can play forever essentially and ignore the MQ or complete it then carry on.

Doe things respawn? is there anything to do if you can?

Yes.
When you beat Gannnnon you can reload your save to right before you fought him and you save file gets a star on it. Enemies respawn every time there is a blood moon.

The reward doesn't matter, if there are 900 seeds, my fucked-up brain commands me to find them all! I'm kinda glad that my work is preventing me from even attempting this because if I had more free time I definitely would have done it. And I probably would have started a new save file too, lol.

Uhhhh what? Am I understanding correctly that you flew your way into the city, suffering from the heat, and managed to buy the Goron set without getting caught?

You know it you follow the road east of the city you come to an oasis where you can just buy the Goron set in full for 600 rupees, right?

When you finish the game, you get a autosave
with a star on it, it puts you just before the final boss fight but you can now see your completion % on the map and see stuff like ??/?? sidequests completed and stuff.

If you went to the southern mines, there's a guy who will trade you fireproof armor for ten of the lizards that are on the mountain

Course catching lizards is annoying especially when you're on a timer with the elixir or when you don't have an elixir and you're on fire

Train of thought encountering my first really challenging solo enemy

"holy shit he can see me from here?"

"is that a bo- *frozen* fuck"

"I can't get a hit in he's so fast"

*30 minutes later*

"I am a parry/dodging god, all will kneel before my sick new gea- aw fuck next zones all snow where's my coat"

This game is spectacular. A 9/10 easily. Clean up that performance and let me drop stuff from the quick bar and we're 10/10 no problem.

I actually went back and did that one yesterday and I
took off from where you're standing. The only thing was I ran>jump>glide to it instead of just walking.

Is it true that the Smash Link Amiibo can only unlock
Epona
once? I was scanning amiibo in the starting area like an idiot a while ago so I couldn't get anywhere to register.

Got my full rubber suit upgraded a couple levels. Fighting yellow lizafos to upgrade it already demonstrated the value to me. I wonder if it saves you from
the divine beast blast.

If you're late game, go to Hebra stable and hunt the animals nearby
Hunting animals late game? No way, just get some mountain rocks. I sell gems and even with liberally buying all kinds of arrows every chance and buying some armor sets, I'm at 12k rupees. And in particular
in the highest snowy mountains near gerudo you can fight two rock monsters in a row that give tons of really nice gems.

In Kakariko Village, when you spawn on the shrine the Blupee will be to your left. If you get the high ground and activate Slo-mo arrow mode, you can keep shooting it and score a ton of rupees
along these lines but, uh, "upgraded" I wonder if...
lord of the mountain drops rupees if you shoot him?

I believe if you know someone else with a Smash Link amiibo you can scan that one and get it again. Going to try later tonight so I can report back.
