No, it's straight up dumb. I'm wearing the Sheikah outfit and maintaining my distance. Having to restart the trial because he thinks there's a ghost and runs the opposite way and spots me is incredibly annoying.
The other two trials were cool and smart. This is your typical dumb follow the NPC quest. Ugh.
Edit: I ended up brute forcing it and skipping the little runt entirely. Probably took longer but I'd rather go into a white fog multiple times than follow a slow moving korok.
LOL I got caught at the same moment to as well. I had no stealth boosts on and completed the trial just fine though. All it requires is 5 minutes of patience. There is a clear path behind the trees that you can walk at all times. The hardest part I had with it was just standing behind a tree and waiting then losing sight of him in the tall grass so I didn't know where he was.
Yea, I know but when he thought he spotted a ghost, he darted the opposite direction spotting me and making me restart it. It's just super archaic game design that I didn't really expect in BotW.
Whatever, I brute forced it. Boring, dumb trial. The other two Korok ones were a lot of fun though.
Seeing a good amount of posts over the OTs and it seems like there is a pretty strong leaning to having stamina upgraded is good. Guess I need to consider doing that since I've only upgraded hearts

Edit: Nevermind. It doesn't complete the trial, just the shrine. Whatever, I don't have the patience to complete it. The rewards probably not worth it anyways.

At one point I got white fogged just for hiding behind the wrong tree - still right next to the main path. I had to quit playing for the night. Still haven't finished that one.
I think that demon statue is a reference to the little imp in Link to the Past that tried to pretend to be the evilest thing ever, but ended up helping you by "cursing" you.
I decided to poke around Hyrule Castle for the first time today. I only saw a part of it, but it was really exciting and intense. That area seems sprawling and I picked up so much good loot. I managed to grab what I came looking for,
the Hylian Shield. The Stalnox battle was pretty easy but I liked the final blow. I just hung the shield in my house though, I wanna wait and use it until I decide to actually beat the game. I couldn't find the memory spot or a shrine, so there's plenty to do on another raid.
I also fought my first Lynel today. Nothing some stasis and a +3 attack food couldn't handle. They do hit damn hard though.

Spoilers. Don't click unless you've talked to everyone in the Snowfield Stable.
In Snowfield Stable, there's a guy named Monkton who talks about his friends Harry and Mary. Harry got lost in a maze and never made it out. Mary fell down into a canyon when they were exploring some ruins. I'm guessing the ruins he's talking about are the Forgotten Temple (which has a fuckton of Guardians waiting to blast your shit in if you try to explore it), and the maze is the North Lomei Labrynth. Both of those places have shrines. My question is, can you actually find his friends in those locations, or do they just serve to guide you to the shrines?
Think the quest giver will tell you how many you have left to find along with giving you hints of where to find ones that you are missing, one at a time.

part but it was totally random every attempt I made. I lterally took 3 hours total several doze tries to beat this shit. I ended up leaving on my magnesis rune so I could see the grids in the terrain.
First time playing the game. Decided to go straight to Ganon after the tutorial.
Made it to the boss fight, but only beat one before all my weapons broke. Went back to the castle and looted a bunch of weapons from chests and the Lizalfos. Is it possible to beat the game this way or would I need something way more durable (or even indestructible)?
Anyone have any tips for getting the furnace lit at Akkala Tech Lab? Is there a blue flame close by that I cant seem to find? Or do you use the blue flame at the Hateno Tech Lab? Can you fast travel with a lit torch?

it's at the top of the hill right next to the lab. Just like with Hateno, there are lamps along the way to help you. Also helps to kill most enemies on the way there, but you don't have to if you get creative.

This wind trial shrine at Horon Lake (with the song from the Rito dude) is going way over my head. I already seemingly blew every rock, but I have no idea what line I need to take before landing on the thing. Where does the wind course start? It seems to go all over the place.
I've come to the point where I actively seek out Guardians because shield parrying their asses is so uh delicious. And actually really not that difficult.

If you blew all the rocks (I think there's 5, 2 from each side + one in the middle), you should start your glide from where all the winds combine. Make sense?
In a snowy mountain, I came by a large Circular structure on the side of the mountain with what appears to be the top of a shrine with lightening bolts painted on the edges of the circular structure. Hints for this?

I just started at the first one I saw, there was a path bu I could not make gliding so I walked to the next upward gush and kept going, went through the middle of all ring and the into the location of the platform of the trial. That unlocked it.
I would like to thank the members who took the time to answer my questions a while ago. I decided to play the game. It's great how you can save anywhere, auto-save every few minutes and teleporting to shrines/towers. This will allow me play the game at my own pace without affecting other games. So far my playthroug is around 40-50 minutes a day.
Impressions are currently positive but still waiting for something big to happen (still early and need to get the glider). My expectations might have skyrocketed due to all the positive impressions. I feel like something is missing while still being amazed about the ease of controlling Link, the freedom to go everywhere, the way story is told through gameplay and text etc.

I'm 80 hrs into the game and don't want it to end. Have been ready to face Ganon for 30 something hours but feel like I should soak it all in. Currently aiming to beat all shrines first and help as many people as i can.
