Ancient Bow has crazy range before it starts to dropoff.
If it's the one I'm thinking of it was also surrounded by water so I used an ice pillar to jump over the vines."hmm how do I get in this shrine?"surrounded by thorny vines, I wonder if I can burn them
"yes, yes I can"
love how little logic things just simply work in this.
I totally missed Goron City the first time because I climbed my way to Death Mountain instead of following the path.As much as climbing everything is fun, you almost need to force yourself to stay on paths sometimes because there's some interesting designed encounters in a lot of places. It's a weird push and pull.
I jumped off a small cliff nearby and flew over the thorns using the glider. If it's the one I'm thinking of it was also surrounded by water so I used an ice pillar to jump over the vines.

Never even considered either of those options.
so i'm about 70 hours in. so far i've gotten 117 shrines and 2 divine beasts. most big sidequests are done. the plan is to defeat the remaining shrines and quests and take care of a few monsters.
for hyrule castle, i've been there a couple of times. each one was an infiltration mission. however for the final confrontation i'm going to storm the gates in a no-fucks frontal attack. seems like the endgame should support that strategy.
How do you find out the total number of Korok seeds you have? All I see is what I currently have in inventory and I've lost count of how many I've spent upgrading storage space.

i chose to "pull the trigger" and go for the castle after 100 hours played, 114 or so shrines.
The boss fight.looked amazing but wasn't all that challenging
Is thereportion? ... is iteven a way you can fail the "demon beast ganon"timed or something like that? The thing's so fucking huge and slow, i never even got hit once.
i'll definitely come back to the game for some further clean up and some more sidequests... in handheld mode - i wanna go back to Horizon on the big TV now![]()
Not there yet, but have you tested with the?ancient bow
Is upgrading an armor set recommended before taking on the final boss?
Is upgrading an armor set recommended before taking on the final boss?
I may consider that approach. If anything I'd reccomend going in with weak armor to up the challenge.
I'm working on crafting Ancient armor, only one piece left to make. I haven't encountered a single Lynel yet though.i went in with 20 20 12 Barbarian.
Which helped a lot with the guards in Hyrule castle. The final boss was a real piece of cake. If you know how tothat is. Also, the 3-arrow-shooting bows that lynels drop + lightning arrows make everything super easy...reflect Guardian beams
Just finished the game. What do I do with the switch now? I knew this day would come
uhm, where do i see my percentage? did i miss it during the credits? - back at the main menu and hitting continue shows me a save from 20 minutes ago

Did you never play OoT? It's literally the same fight mechanic as the second boss, it even has the same tell.
Finished the Rito section and was pretty disappointed by it. I really like the design in general around the village, the rock formations and the giant lake is really nice. But the village itself is extremely boring with its layout. They wanted to do a vertical village setup, which is neat in itself, but executed in it the most vanilla way possible. I don't want to compare it to something like Frontier Village in Xenoblade, because this location doesn't require a village of that size. But that village twisted in on itself in interesting ways, and you get a real sense of height. This village was just a giant staircase.
It feels like they cut something from the game right here during development. Gave off vibes of The Wind Waker when you get the third orb back at Outset. Looking back on it, the actual Zora's Domain section was fairly short, relative to the wandering around, but it kinda gets away with it because: 1) you get character establishment with the prince on the way there, 2) a little bit of drama when you arrive, and 3) a sidequest. This section, they built a giant snowy mountain range there and didn't even use it. Puzzling.
Just finished the forest as well, still have the desert and Death Mountain left. Looking like the Rito got the short end of the stick for this game.
Question that I'm sure has been asked repeatedly. It relates to what I think is a late game weapon.
Can you break the Master Sword?
Of course!
But it goes into a cooldown instead of losing it forever.

That sounds like the Coliseum Ruins, at the center of Aquame Lake.So very early in the game, I stumbled upon some ruins that were covered in malice and has a lynel patrolling the grounds. I immediately decided I shouldn't be there and took off.
I didn't mark it on the map though, and now I can't remember where it was. I vaguely think it was between Central Hyrule and Dueling Peaks region, and maybe near a lake, but I cannot find it. It's driving me crazy.
I had no idea Fairies respawned...
I would reset every time I used one due to falling or something stupid.
Ya they do. But I think the game keeps track of how many you have because I can't seem to ever have more than 6.
It definitely feels like they had no time to give the same level of polish to all the regions. I'd rank them as Gerudo>Zora>Goron>Rito as far as development, sidequests and story goes.
On another note, I always forget when fighting that I can just do this:

though it's kinda cheap...
They areOkay this is driving me nuts:
do the metal plates that make an 'X' with a painted bullseye do anything? Korok puzzle?, usually (or always) linked toshrine puzzles.Kass, the awesome bird guy with the accordion
