Question -
I just beat the lyon dude with the shock arrows that the Zoras told me to. Man that was a fun and super hard battle! I broke a guardian sword ++ and a guardian shield ++. I also ate almost all my good food.

But now I see the divine beast is just below me. Am I supposed to go down there directly or should I go back and talk to the Zoras first?

I feel like I need to gear up again I haven't fought any divine beasts yet
.

You don't really need to beef up for the divine beasts. They're more about puzzles that like fighting.

Question:
Once you defeat the Yiga Clan Hideout, do the Yiga Clan members become regular enemies now? I was traveling around Kakariko Village and every time I got off my horse, one of those guys started attacking me out of no where.

yes

Okay, I guess early game spoilers, I will spoiler them although I don't think there are many spoilers in my post. More just confusion on where the fuck i'm going.

Alright, so. Done one Divine Beast (Water temple) and then tried Death Mountain but ran into a Guardian, got annihilated so backed off that and decided to go somewhere I hadn't been yet. Eventually after a long time of walking, I arrived at Gerudo Town. I am now on the quest to get the ancient heirloom back and have wandered back out into the desert. Nothing is now showing on my map of where to go whereas before all four Divine Beasts were there. I've done one and now have no idea where to go to find the other one as I obviously know where the two are (Death Mountain and Gerudo Town) and I just don't know what the fuck I do next. It's literally spinning me in circles and I don't know how to get back on track! Feeling awfully lost. 7 hearts and 1 stamina upgrade, if that's any indication how far I am in.

Things aren't showing on your map either because you're in a sandstorm (which completely kills the map) or because you've changed which quest you're tracking. Selecting the Divine Beast one from quest log will put them back on the map.

Popping in here... Has Nintendo said anything about Zelda since launch? Not necessarily about reviews or sale numbers, but about possible patches/updates or any hints on what the DLC might be?

I already beat ganon and did all the divine beasts after 70 hours a little over a week ago but I'm still going around doing things like tarry town and trying to find all the shrines, I think i've played over 100 hours now. Haven't played a non multiplayer game this much in a long time.

100+ hours in and was working on my last divine beast; I'm still having fresh adventuring experiences which I can't believe.

I'm in the Rito area and find a puzzle platform that I'm not understanding. The name of the area looks familiar so I think to myself that maybe I saw a hint to it in Kass'
diary
. So I bring up my map and zoom in on a couple of nearby shrines to that area to port to. While scanning the map I notice what looks to be a small stone structure that I didn't recognize or mark previously, "hmm, that's interesting". I tag it, port over to the shrine, and head there instead of going to see Kass. I end up finding my 3rd to last memory
-- the horse statue -- and proceed to watch it. It's lightly raining and when I come out of the memory it really starts pouring down. I turn around and in the distance see the white and gold horse grazing on the side of the hill all by itself. Having just seen Zelda's horse which looked just like it, I got a little sad. In the pouring rain I mounted and tamed it and named her Buttercup. On my way to a stable I ended up discovering an entirely new stable and a new set of shrines which I worked through as well
. So after this 40 minute aside, I thought to myself "ok, so what was I doing?" and realized that this all started trying to solve a puzzle in a completely different area of the map. It's a small thing, but is just one of dozens and dozens of little side stories that are unique to my experience in BotW.

On another note, I've been reading about how a lot of people think that the Rito Divine beast was one of the weaker of the four. I absolutely loved the whole area though. I love the deep forest setting. I loved the music and feel of the Rito town. I thought it was very fitting for that whole sequence to be the fourth for me as well. I'm probably going to do some side quests before I prepare for my final ride into Hyrule Castle. But what an amazing game. I'm so glad it's being so well received because this game is a true masterpiece. One of my favorite experiences I've ever had in video games.

It has even been enough to get me to stop playing League of Legends for 3 weeks lol

Second lost forest update. Following the iron I ended in right back at the starting point...

This puzzle took me ages to figure out. I'm really bad at hidden puzzles like this. Reminds me of the Master Sword puzzle in OoS.

Second attempt at constellation shrine a complete failure.

This one, I had to reread the instruction tablet in the beginning of the shrine three times until I got it.

Funnily enough, both puzzles have the same foundation; be extremely aware of your surroundings.

Call me dumb but after roaming nearly the entire world and still not completed the game, I go crazy when I hear the "hoo hoo" bird like noise. I look around to see where it's coming from and don't find anything. Anyone else know about this?

I was running behind Hyrule Castle and despite having two dungeons completed thought I'd throw caution to the wind. Got into an area with a boss fight inside and almost instantly died. So much for that!

I will say though that my back door entrance was fairly easy into the castle considering the two dungeons I completed. Is there any story reasons for walking up to the front entrance? I assume a bunch of Guardians make it a pain in the ass.

I just finally the locked the final tower at around 50 hours, haha.

I don't think I've ever played a game so much, accomplished so little, and also had as much fun.

I watched Let's Play of SS opening sections ages ago and Zelda is well established before you lose her. She's a caring girl with a sense of adventure and curiosity yet also the boldness to stand up for friends (and initiative to seek them out and help them in their troubles) and call people out for their bullshit. Maybe she turns into a mopey self-absorbed lame-o like in BotW later but forgive me if I'm putting my bets on no.

As big and as wonderful the map is, i cant help but wonder what is beyond Hyrules boarders. Such vast lands can be seen in the distance.

I can only hope "new map feature" in the DLC bullet points is pointing towards this. Even if it's only one new area I'll take what I can get!

I can see the Gerudo desert being expanded a bit pretty easily, or an island further out to sea, the other directions don't really seem possible.

Just beat the game. I feel so empty. 80 hours, 80 beautiful hours. I have a lot of shrines left, but the journey makes me a little sad that it ended, in a good way. I need to just decompress, just a phenomenal game through and through. Just wow.

55 hours, 52 shrines, 4 beasts down, all memories recovered, killed the last boss: 16%

(only 45 koroks lol)

I have to go back... Feels weird to reload a save where Calamity is still there though.

How'd you only do 45 koroks :| the weapon limit killed my sanity lol

118 shrines completed without a guide and I know where on of them is because I just saw it in the distance... I am felling kind of anxious about looking the last one in such a big map x-x and more if it is related to a shrine quest since it seems those are no detected with the Shrine Sensor.

T-T

There was a video of some other game devs talking about breath of the wild, can anybody link it to me? I can't find it anywhere.

As for my zelda story today, had an epic entrance towards
Gerudo desert
. Involved a guardian firing lazors at me as I dodged while gliding down the cliffside and then getting surprised smacked a few kilometers down by a golden Talus mini boss. Suffice to say I was laughing a lot, this game is something special

That was enough to expand the weapons by 4 or 5 slots iirc and bows/shields twice. Most weapons break quickly so there is always some room, at the end of the game I still had 80% of weapons I was keeping "in case" like fire/thunder/loads of guardian ones. and once you have that sword, you don't need much more :P

Oh and that place
(the house you can buy)
to store some of them.
