I think

I personally wouldn't bother finding all of the seeds, or even enough to just max out the inventory. I'm having a grand time with just 120 seeds.

I defintely need more slots in my inventory though. I do not have enough space for weapons, shields, and bows.

Shrine Spoiler:

Trying to complete the Shrine Quest called 'Gerudo' Tower. It's so hard to aim from the tower, especially considering you have such a short window in which you can do it. The wind makes it even worse. I used a 5x Lynel Bow and spammed over 20 arrows but couldn't do it. Will come back later when I'm more stacked with arrows.

If you want to know what you're doing wrong:
Shoot from the Shrine spot, not from the tower.

I wasted many arrows trying your method too.

Solution hint spoiler for that quest that you may want to hear because it frustrated me for a while too:
You're not supposed to be aiming from the tower.

This is nothing but a pie in the sky theory, but is the Ancient Tree Stump possibly meant to be the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina? There isn't much there to suggest so except a
Korok to be found

I don't know the Tree Stump you're talking about, but (possibly spoilers for you)
the Great Deku Tree is actually in this game, and I always figured it's always the same Tree. Might be wrong though.

Wait, I just remembered a new tree was born after the first one died in Ocarina. Man it's been too long for me with some of these games.

Anyone else just have no motivation at all to do 'endgame' stuff?

There's another 40 shrines I could go find, or I could try to collect every armor set and upgrade them, farm Lynels, guardians or rupees... I'm sitting close to 70 hours and kind of want to finish the game and take a break. Maybe I'll return to it later for extra stuff.

Not really. I beat the final boss man a few days ago and have still been playing a lot without much purpose other than finding shrines and koroks in the big world. I have a lot more fun fighting enemies now that I have a ton of weapons (and slots to hold them), and feel basically indestructible with upgraded armor and full repertoire of
Divine Hero
abilities.

I'm surprised there's so many complaints about the rain. You can still climb a good amount by jumping just before you slide and at worst you'll need to circle around a bit or go in a different direction. It's only really limiting at the start with the low stamina and no climbing gear or other methods to climb like
zora armor

Yeah I know,
I've encountered him and found the Master Sword. Haven't pulled it out yet though, not enough hearts.
This Stump I'm referring to is much larger with a mote of water surrounding it. You can find it on the North West of Hyrule Field.

Damn, this makes things easier. I thought the Quest said something like: 'An arrow from the sky'. Nevertheless, I found a bit strange how Kass was at the plank playing his Accordion since that would be the perfect spot for shooting. Guess I will go back there later and repeat it. Thank you for the tip.

Holy shit so in order to properly dodge attacks I need to jump back horizontal attacks and to the side for vertical. No wonder it was never working for me before.

Also, that
shield block move thing you get from Gordo
is annoying and I'm pretty sure it messes up my blocks/furry attack timing.

Revali's Gale
+ climbing gear + full stamina = brute force any cliffs even when it rains. But even before that it never really bothered me. I like how brutal the rain is in this game, how soaked everything is. Plus it's really dynamic so looking for places that are sheltered from the rain to make a fire is actually cool.

You can disable it on the menu. It's a free parry anyway.

Finally got 120 shrines, I think I'm at 150 Korok things too, but I'm done with the game now. I'm just not having fun with the exploration part, and I've got no motivation to do the remaining seed padding stuff.

At the end of the day, the player/world mechanics were great but the game could have been a little more focused, too much of the same shit.

I'll be back for the DLC but I can't see myself replaying the game from scratch due to the padding.

Damn, if it's only that many I might as well go all the way. I'm sitting around 230 seeds already and haven't even hit 100 shrines.

Idk why but finding these korok seeds is really enjoyable for me. It's not the most useful reward but it gives a reason to get out and explore.

Why in the world does this game not have multiple save files like every other Zelda game beforehand? People are doing really cool challenge runs, and I'd like to do so too- like a Nuzlocke or something- but not at the expense of my original progress. Now I know how people down on weapon durability feel. x.x

...they are there for density, so you don't have to scour the whole map to max out your inventory
I get that and I didn't mean it negatively, I was genuinely just asking if they had any other purpose.

You can always make another profile but it's kind of silly you have to.

So, what's the currently preferred method for farming money? Is it still
hunting for top-tier meat in Hebra?

It's not ideal, but you can create a second profile and use that. It is annoying, though.

I just do the
snow bowling mini-game.
Once you got a system down, you can get strike on your first try pretty consistently.

There will always be some very stupid things in Nintendo games.

The rain thing is odd because every other weather element (cold, heat, extreme heat, lighting) has at least one counter. What's odd is an NPC explicitly mentions the Sheikah having rain-proof clothing and yet you can't buy such clothing. Almost seems like they had it as an option at some point.

The consensus is getting good at bowling. The second best is becoming a Goron and mine for precious rocks to sell.

Rain does not really harm Link. Complaints stem more from making climbing really hard.

Wood+flint+shelter is sort of a counter for rain.

Unless it's an extremely tall sheer cliff, it's not even that hard to brute force your way up slick surfaces. Climb for four "steps," then jump, and you'll be making net gains that overcome the distance lost by slipping. See where thresholds to regain stamina are. If you have the upgraded climbing set or stamina potions, then it becomes almost trivial.

Anyone else think... it will be hard to go back to older Zeldas now that this one embodies the OG Zelda more than any other. I want to play Skyward Sword again but remember all the tedium for the few moments of brilliance. I don't think I can do it after playing BotW.

I spent the last 100 hours wanting to play other Zelda games instead so I see no problem going back. I still think botw is the right direction but it needs a ton of things improved on or flat-out rethought.

Currently have 60,000 rupees. Helps that I have all of the armor upgrades besides
Dragon parts and Ancient parts
so I just sell excess monster parts and gems. Before that I just did bowling.

Is it worth buying the
house.
?

I always assume yes to anything requiring money in a Zelda game as it's really just an unlocking thing. But it's a lot of money (although I've pretty much saved it up)

Yep. Once I figured this out rain became a minor inconvenience at worst.

plus
revali's gale to start/use on mid/flat points
and there are times where you are climbing where you can actually hit B and stand and recover stamina if its not too steep.

absolutely, it opens up more stuff as well

Yes. I can't say much but it's better to see for yourself.

It's just for fun as far as I know, so if you don't care, then don't bother.
Edit : I might be wrong about this, haha

Yeah

unlocks another sidequest
also you can
store weapons there

you can melt ice blocks with just having a fire sword (or rod) out and standing near it. These little details, me likey. Anyway, asking again, reliable place for Hyrule Bass? I want to upgrade that
Zora
armor and it needs 5 for each piece :(

It's the most common fish. Just swim across the Hylia River and you'll get more than what you need. Or just about any body of water there is.

Better prepare yourself for things that are really a lot of money, lol.
