About to do the 4th Divine Beast, and then probably start heading toward Ganon. Is there anything else I should do before going to fight Ganon that I may or may not know about? Probably going to put the game down after Defeating Ganon so if theres anything you guys think is seriously worth doing before finishing the game id like to know before I do.

What is the reward for doing all the locked memories?

Use the Sheikah Sensor+ if you want to farm materials for armor upgrades. I neglected this for a long ass time and regretted it when I realized how useful it is. I just went into random spots in the appropriate region and turned it on to realize the stuff I needed was everywhere, I just wasn't noticing it.

You mean the skeletal Hinox? I think I only found one during the nighttime.
Southern beach region inlet north and west of girl who wants guardian pics.

Thats a Hinox? I had no idea. I saw it walking around over some cliffs near a beach in the trailer. I also havent met that girl yet either so I need to go check that side out.

Its super helpful but I always forget to switch it back to shrines. I had some random flower selected once and then went exploring. I spent like an hour on a section of the map without any beeps and I was like WTF is there really nothing here?

I completely forgot that existed.

A lot of places where you can swim has Hyrule Bass spawn on a regular basis. If you have the Zora gear just swim around and you can catch them with the help of dashing. Or just go bomb fishing lol.

damn bomb fishing works? those bombs are wonderful things arent they?

Divine Beast
Master Sword
Memories.

Anyone else think... it will be hard to go back to older Zeldas now that this one embodies the OG Zelda more than any other. I want to play Skyward Sword again but remember all the tedium for the few moments of brilliance. I don't think I can do it after playing BotW.
Nah... each one of them has things that make them unique and fun. It's a different mindset, and BOTW has surely underscored how ridiculous certain conventions of the series have been for so long, but I don't see it as a "replacement" for the old games.

Divine Beast
Master Sword
Memories.

those labyrinths on the map maybe? I dont actually know what they are. Theres also
Eventide island
, if you dont care about the reward (which, to be fair, is kinda the theme of the game)

Koroks are also found on
The chestnut can also be found on regular standing trees.
There's also circles of rocks which are missing one rock to form the circle
A small box made of standing rocks in the water in which you need to throw a rock inside
A circle of water lilies that you need to dive into
Metallic blocks that you need to place in the corresponding geometrical space
Offer food (mostly apples) to statues
Special glitter that moves around a pond or up lone trees or poles
And the three trees discussed earlier

I think that's all of the hiding spots for koroks going by memory. I could be missing one entirely like just happened with the three trees though.

I saw one on
hylia bridge
where it looks like
you throw a rock down in between a circle in the water

theres more korok puzzles than those btw. Off the top of my head, some
stones will have them underneath, just pick up every oddly placed alone stone you see.

There are
flowers grouped in numbers (1 flower, then 2 flowers, then 3 flowers etc) that you have to touch in the correct order.

There are
tree stumps you stand on that activate either a race to a circled target, or a bow and arrow shooting gallery.

I really wish this game had more underground and cave type stuff. The few times you're in a cavern area (Forbidden Temple, Hebra cave) are really cool, and it would have been AMAZING to have a Eventide-like cave challenge that's dark like the first part of the Goron Divine Beast.

Hey everyone! I have a couple of questions.

1) Considering there are
120
Shrines, why isn't my Sheikah Slate going off more often? Are some of them hidden that well? Do some only appear after certain events? I'm 40 hours in, and only
one divine beast (Ruta, the Elephant) down.

2) Is there a guide that outlines the best ingredients to increase your heart value?

3) Is there any point in maximizing your stamina early in the game? I find that with the
climbing bandanna, climbing pants, and climbing shirt
+ all leveled up a notch, I really don't have much use for more stamina. I upgraded my Stamina three times, so I have almost a full circle over my main circle.

4) Is there a preference in how you tackle the order of the
Divine Beasts
, or does it not matter that much?
I did Ruta, now I am in the Gerudo area and am planning on doing that Divine Beast next.

Shrine Spoiler:

Trying to complete the Shrine Quest called 'Gerudo' Tower. It's so hard to aim from the tower, especially considering you have such a short window in which you can do it. The wind makes it even worse. I used a 5x Lynel Bow and spammed over 20 arrows but couldn't do it. Will come back later when I'm more stacked with arrows.

Major hint:
you need to do it from the pedestal...

Just got to the Gerudo region last night and was able to board
Divine Beast Naboris
. Haven't started it yet, but will tackle it when I get home tonight.

That sequence leading up to it is very exhilarating:
Sand-surfing through a lightning storm as you weave in between the legs of an enormous AT-AT camel, firing bomb arrows at its feet.
It's an example of many moments in this game where you just feel amazingly badass. Makes me wish you could replay certain sequences of the game...

Is it possible to max out both hearts and stamina? Counting my hearts and how many shrine upgrades I have left it doesn't come out to 30. Hope I didn't miss picking up dungeon hearts, lol.

This is like the first game ever where I'm still playing it and already wanting to jump into a new game immediately after I'm done. Guess I'll be making a new profile sooner or later. Might as well make it a Japanese one while I'm at it for the eShop access haha.

Seriously though, I don't want to stop. I'm around 130 hours in and still trying to postpone Ganon. Says something that after over 5 days of cumulative playtime I'm left wanting more from a single player game haha. DLC can't come soon enough.

I beat this game the other night, 95 hrs, 96 shrines, all memories, 150 some Korok seeds. I'll probably post my long-rambling impressions later tonight but suffice it to say, I really loved it.

I'm playing through Nier Automata now, and while this was right behind Zelda in terms of my anticipation and I'm REALLY liking it far, man... Zelda changed things. I'm running around this word, I want to cut the grass, trees, foliage... nope. I want to climb that wall... nope. I want to go through this area I think I can fit through... nope.

That's me in like every single game right now. "Why can't I climb this? Why can't I just glide off of this? This sucks." lol

Based on my experience, it seems like quite a few of the shrines are unlocked with shrine quests. And many shrines are in hard-to-find places.

That's totally depending on your play style. With more stamina, you can also glide or run for longer periods of time.

Divine Beasts
, or does it not matter that much?
I did Ruta, now I am in the Gerudo area and am planning on doing that Divine Beast next.

I've seen different preferred orders mentioned. There's no "correct" order.

it seems like the glowing area with the rabbits and the deer shows up until you get there, and then disappears until after the next Blood Moon. I didn't notice it much until I went there, and now I see it across the map all of the time.

Another couple of ways I've found Korok seeds -

First one is
at the back of one of the Duelling Peaks (iirc) - at the bottom of the hill are 2 trees a distance apart from each other that makes them look like goal posts. At the top of the hill are 3 boulders. Roll one of them in between the posts and, bam! Korok!

Second one is
somewhere near Winter Island (i think that's the name and again, location is iirc). Very similar, but this time there was a hole to roll a boulder into

This is with 90 hours played, 85 seeds collected and this is the first time I've seen those puzzles.

Love this game so much.

finally completed all shrines! found 110 of them on my own, ended up looking up the last 10 though, lol. once i upgrade the
of the wild set
, i'm off to fight ganon. it just wouldn't feel right to confront him without it

Also sometimes
iron boulders are chained to tree stumps. You're supposed to "dunk" the boulder into the hollow trunk.

Another puzzle I haven't seen mentioned:
strange flowers (think Pikmin tops) that disappear when you approach them and pop up somewhere else
. Another variant is
one, two, three, four, and five of these flowers that you gotta approach in order.

I did 106 solo myself, or was it 107? Like half ended up being quests I never found though.

And I'm super bummed the
wild set
requires
star fragments
though. Ugh.

There's also another Korok source I don't think has been mentioned here:

A few places in the world have rows of fences that if you jump over them with your horse a Korok will appear. I think you need to jump over them in a row and at max speed for it to work but I'm not sure exactly
.

That was my least favorite part of the game thus far. I don't know what to call this trope, but I've seen it in a few games.
You have to stay within a moving safe zone while you're only somewhat in control of your own movement and momentum. It wasn't difficult but it was not exactly exhilarating to me. Only slightly less annoying than an escort mission.

More Korok sources
if there's a mound of red leaves on the floor you can burn them. There's one in the Great Plateau. A bit bummed you can use the deku leaf, but hey

An On-Rails Shooting Sequence?

At 175+ hours, I've never, ever seen one of these. All the others, I've seen. And this is dozens of hours after I first saw a post about it. so I've been keeping an eye out.

The house in itself is how you described it, but it does unlock other stuff that are much more interesting.
I need to look into this more, it seemed like a waste of time to me based on the posts I've seen, but it's one of the few things I have left to do in the game, so I might as well. You got me curious now!

Spoiled if you want to know what it is (it's more than one thing):

You get a weapon mount, then for 100 rupees each you can get 2 more weapon mounts, three bow mounts, and three shield mounts, to store or display anything you want.

Buying the house opens up a large sidequest chain where you build a town in Akkala.

An On-Rails Shooting Sequence?

An on-rails shooting sequence where its possible to go off the rails but you die instantly for doing so.

I wasn't jazzed about any of the Divine Beast Approach sections. The fire one can go rot for putting you on that timer unless you bought the full armor sets, air and lighting are just whatever. The water one was pretty cool, so i guess i retract that statement.

I just did the
spinning wheel / clock like
shrine. SO COOL.

Oh yeah, I already bought the house and
got the Tarrey Town sidequest, which is definitely cool. I thought the other poster meant there was some benefit to upgrading the house, but if it's just weapon mounts I don't really care.
Thanks for the info though!
