Problem with native 4K vs checkerboard is that it will effectively close the gap between Scorpio and Pro. Leaving not much room for better graphics, which would be a far easier sell.
It was just the remaster... and that really wasnt a new game....

Why didn't they chose Monday? Thursday is so far awayyup!
can't wait, 3 days to go.
This is where I found the rumor source:
http://www.windowscentral.com/forza-motorsport-7-4k-project-scorpio-xbox
It's sketchy though because
They're saying they have a list of titles to be showcased pointed at that quote.
True which is why I believe that checkerboard 4K on Scorpio will also be the way to go for freeing up resources for more bells & whistles. It would be the smarter choice, development wise no?Problem with native 4K vs checkerboard is that it will effectively close the gap between Scorpio and Pro. Is MS wasting power to get a marketing 'native 4k' or 'real 4k' inevitable?
GTAV on Sony's stage in 2013 wasn't a remaster - it hadn't launched yet. The remaster was in 2014. And the PS3 bundle for GTAV, announced at E32013, wound up being so popular it created one of the handful of months the PS3 actually outsold the 360 in the US.
Yup that's the one. We probably shouldn't expect to see Scorpio footage anytime soon. But you never know.
It's likely probably just going to be an interview Thursday right?

Not if they expand that to real 4k assets. Resolution is only half of it 4K textures with the extra ram will be much more noticeable than native vs checkerboard.
So? They announced a bundle... wow....
The trailer released on the Rockstar site during E3.
Why are some of you you so obsessed that RDR2 will appear on the Sony stage?
Not everyone believes that.
Back 2 topic i would say.

Yeah I think they will do that once things get going. In launch period where timings are tight and they want to make a statement, native 4K is an easy option. If the big multiplats this holiday are all true 4K on Xbox but not on PSPro then that's quite impactful I suppose.
But some form of checkerboard / dynamic is probably the best compromise overall to get the most out of the system.

I don't think anyone is necessarily saying that RDR2 will be on Sony's stage, only that it definitely won't be on MS's stage

Well, maybe, maybe not. I remember a statement being made about one of the MS Guys playing their first full Scorpio game and that it looked/ran great, so, maybe they will show footage, maybe they'll say things, but I'd expect them to hold off pricing and other information until their pre-E3 conference assuming they have one.
I'd say they have nothing to lose by announcing pricing now, but that might just open the door to Sony changing up pricing to make the Pro more attractive.
Enjoy your 30GB Gears 4 patch
Better textures at 4k are gonna be a big thing I bet. Very high res textures look stunning at 4k. The additional RAM allows for that.
Like I said in an earlier post, RDR2, along with CoD WW2, Destiny 2, & SWBF2 will all be mentioned during MS' E3 conference as titles that will be native 4K this fall, only on Scorpio. MS is allowed to mention/sell features that they get that isn't available on another platform. For example, the EA Early Access on X1, mentioned by MS for Star Wars Battlefront despite the marketing deal Sony had for it.
I've got the space. I'm good with it.will people be okay with 40GB patches though?

Whats so funny? It's by & large the lead platform, is getting some form of content exclusivity for a limited time, and is going to be so heavily marketed with Sony branding that everyone is going to think its a Sony game, similar to Destiny. Just because there is a platform that will run it better than it doesn't change any of that.
Lol you asked a question, and I was answering it?
They better come up with a solution for that... I don't want to install 5 games into my 1 TB HDD and fill it up that quick...
This would happen anyway since MS always goes first at E3
I bet it's going to be DLC downloads that you gotta manually download at first. Like the Quantum Break billion GB video pack.
Alright, I just woke up and I'm groggy, need coffee.
What's new this morning / afternoon that I might've missed on Scorpio ?
Nothing new yetAlright, I just woke up and I'm groggy, need coffee.

Yeah I still have the 500 GB HDD and it's already a pain in the ass, I often need to cancel games to make space for the new ones. They definitely need a solution. They better come up with a solution for that... I don't want to install 5 games into my 1 TB HDD and fill it up that quick...

Someone in another thread reckons someone at MS told him it's not Jaguar, that's about it. Take that for what you will.
No other 'news'.
Reliable person or just someone claiming stuff?
EvB is pretty accurate with his scoop track record. I'm still going to be surprised if it's not Jaguar, though.Someone in another thread reckons someone at MS told him it's not Jaguar, that's about it. Take that for what you will.

Eh, not necessarily - devs are still going to choose to create assets, and most importantly, carve out design resources against the LCD, which is the PS4 & X1. Take a game like HZD running at 1080p: outside of HDR (which is the bigger visual leap this generation imo, not 4K) the game looks pretty similar to one another when comparing the two side by side, and that is a 1st party game designed to make use of the hardware. There are some things that help make these experiences look better on Pro, and you'll see some of those same things on X1 games on Scorpio, but the biggest thing you can do to make the Scorpio/Pro upgrade worthwhile is to get a HDR10/4K TV purchase, cause that is what these machines are built for primarily.
Devs & pubs are going to make the overwhelming majority of their returns on PS4/X1 for the foreseeable future, so there is no incentive for them to design towards the higher spec machines, especially if their adoption rate is going to be niche compared to the base platform they are respectively leap frogging.
