It does for me. ñññ. You don't press the space before pressing n. I was just showing an example as to why a computer keyboard would have an ~ even when the language doesn't require it.

That's strange, it doesn't work for me at all ~n~n~n~n

What language is your keyboard region set to in Windows?

Our British keyboards don't have the twiddly thing for the n
Why are your keyboards so messed up? Why is the enter button so big? So strange.

Yeah that's because this country is going to shit mate. Wake up and smell the ashes son

This is supposed to be a forum discussing Brexit, not a soapbox for Anglophobes and self hating prophets of doom.

Brexit is a pile of dog shit but those eagerly anticipating the rapture will (as usual) be disappointed.

Yeah, its dumb as fuck but:

a) Its the church, they have a proclivity for being dumb, reactionary and oversensitive.
b) May just sees every event as votes and thinks if she jumps on this and defends 'British Values™' the Mail and Sun will like her.

Also 'What the Hell is going on in the UK?' as a response to this is almost as hyperbolic as the church and May.

I do love how the church could have avoided this by just spending two minutes look at all Cadbury's Easter advertising and go 'oh yeah, Easter is plastered fucking everywhere. Oops.' I mean, the link to the page is even 'easter.cadburys.co.uk.' Perfect.

They're trying to distract the populace by hyping up blue passports and complaining about Easter being removed? I never want to hear the word Snowflake again.
Its almost annoying that the 'right' in American started using that term because, especially with people like Tammy Laughderhórn, they're more oversensitive and whiny than almost any 'leftie' I've ever seen.

Actually, blue passports when? Can we have a referendum on that? I want a referendum on everything now, fuck it.

Weird, you're right. I just tried mapping to a UK layout. That's the only layout I've used where that didn't work.

Apparently alt-gr-n works though.

Easter is overrated anyway. Only good part of it is the roasted lamb here in Portugal + some other traditional sweets made specifically at this time of the year.

So now that May has said that this war talk is a load of bollocks perhaps we should move on.

Also, Article 50 has been invoked, so this thread will be closed soon enough unless something interesting arises around it.

That's probably it until the official EU response at the end of April, or is there something else I've overlooked?

The problem here is that they know it hasn't been dropped but they still ask the chruchie what his opinion is.

The fuck is going on over at the BBC? The story should have been May claims Easter dropped, she's wrong. They are doing what the idiots over in the US do and ask for opinions based on fuck all.

Calm down, I think a journalist should at least get his spelling right when printing an incendiary cover with huge ass bolded characters. Anyway this cover is the journalism equivalent of "lol U suk n00b" and I don´t think you should be defending it.

We are no longer obliged to care about foreign characters.

We had a thread in Off Topic Community that was there for general Brexit news and discussion. Maybe this one can replace it?

I mean, there's 'interesting' news and articles arising all the time, but probably nothing that's new thread worthy until the official EU response? Probably won't be that much going on even after that, as negotiations won't really start in earnest until all the elections are sorted.

Due to NATO treaties, attacking Spain means attacking the USA.
History lesson: The Falklands was defended by Britain, Britain didn't just decide to attack Argentina.

So the apt comparison would be Britain defending Gibraltar from Spanish attackers, hence NATO and the EU would not support Spain.

But sure keep up with the negative Brexit spin/rewriting of history.

Hmm, what's the mug like? Will it crumble apart after a couple of uses?

Because this might just tempt me to go into Chavsda.

I keep it as part of my decorate cup shelf collection, but don't worry, your upper class energy bubble won't diminish if you dare step into a Chavsda, Chesco or Chiceland.

Why are your keyboards so messed up? Why is the enter button so big? So strange.

Its so the rest of Europe knows that Enter is the way to go, instead of pressing back by accident, but give the uk a few years and you will see a key Return getting bigger and bigger.

Agreed. Spot the Arsenal or Liverpool shirts from a mile off, usually accompanied by a wailing child. Just makes me cringe.
You're worried about meeting North London hipsters who aren't even loud at their own ground? That's an odd worry to have.

Oh and Gaffers, their issue isn't because they're British. If you attempt to travel you may actually come to the shocking conclusion that every country has twats, especially abroad, especially if they're young and most especially if you're holidaying in cheap areas.

But what if spain would just completely shut off gibraltar from land traffic? Thats their perogative as we are talking about a non-EU third state.

Britain would probably respond accordingly. Possible ban on flights from Spain, ban on imports possibly a ban on Spanish citizens entering the UK and Gibraltar. Military action would only be considered should Spain occupy British territory, which it won't because they are a sensible decent country and NATO allies.

It's probably easier to look at what happened when Franco closed the land border...
Still, things aren't quite as simple since banning Spanish imports could lead to the EU banning UK imports, etc...

Anyway, it's silly, Spain's a democracy, it won't close the land border.

Are we still talking about this nonsense?

The "brexit negativity" doesn't come from the poster, comes from the dumb idiot that spoke about this non-sense of Falklands and Gibraltar.

Also: I was still waiting to learn more about the EU not listening to UK, but I guess I have to give up :(

Spain wont attack Gibraltar, its the UK tabloids and politicians who are sable rattling. Spain has a better option with just vetoing anything that happens in regards to Gibraltar. a far better and devastating weapon than some puny warship that the UK can can sail there.

Pretty much. That in itself is something the UK simply won't be able to work around. Spain can just veto the crap out of anything Gibraltar (so can other member states I suppose).

the thing I have hated more than anything since moving to the UK (really the only thing I hate) is the UK keyboard I have at work, having grown used to US keyboards being standard in Australia.

That and the car indicators on UK cars using a set up that's perfect for Left Hand Drive cars (indicator on the left side of the steering column). Having to take your hand off the gear lever to indicate is silly. And UK cars used to have it set up like cars from Asia still do (indicators on the right side of the steering column), yet the colour of the passport seems more important for some odd reason.

It is not Spanish politicians talking war.

That doesn't sound too good, the UK thought it wouldn't happen so I'm not sure what to think.

Fox will need to sell a lot of innovative preserves to that evil shit in the Philippines to make up the difference.

The British government has sought to lobby that any attempt to split off euro-denominated clearing would not benefit the EU, with business instead drifting to New York.

What kind of argument is this? If they're saying Euro clearing has to be on EU soil, how is it going to go to NY?

NY wants a female leader so they'll join the EU. Or they are true idiots and they aren't realizing they are admitting project fear was true, as they'll lose Euro business to EU and non-Euro business to NY.

London knew and warned about it. This was guaranteed to happen with Brexit.

I'm not surprised by this at all. London knew about this. They were warned about this before the referendum, not after, and this talk about it drifting to NY is rubbish. It's explicitly stated in EU regulations that euro clearing has to be on EU soil, hence why it was in London all this time and not in NY.

All those laws and regulations. We are done listening to so called experts.

He said he had been surprised by the reaction in the UK to the decision by the EU to give Spain a veto on allowing Gibraltar to benefit from any future EU-UK trade deal. “From now on we will have the interests of the EU27 in mind, not of the British,” Weber said. “That’s the outcome when you leave this family.

“Some of the politicians in London have not understood what leaving the European Union means. It means being alone.”
UK politicians need to accept this ASAP, as does the population. I don´t wish any wrong to British people, but shit like what´s going on with Gibraltar and threating war on us isn´t the way to instill sympathy on others.

We are no longer obliged to care about foreign characters.
Good for you.
