Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

W101 is fully playable in off-screen mode or with the Pro Controller on Wii U. They'll pop up a little picture-in-picture screen for the few moments in the game when you need two screens, and all the touch screen controls can be done (usually much more easily) with the right analogue stick.

Porting the game wouldn't be a problem; unfortunately actually making any money on a port would be, though.

That's probably the best solution, although that picture-in-picture was nearly impossible to play one the gamepad, so it would be just as hard portably on Switch. I loved W101, but honestly those sections could afford to be scrapped or completely reworked for a single screen.

...but W101 will die on WiiU. It's going down with the ship. I don't think it will ever be resurrected. We'll talk about it in ten years the same way we talk about Dreamcast classics that never made it elsewhere.

All it's missing is Tropical Freeze.

Expect rage.

"Why are Nintendo supporting the 3DS?!? Switch not a true handheld confirm."

Haven't you heard ?

We have Darksiders and that weird twisted metal like Cars game coming out for the WiiU.

Switch is not a tv console either confirmed

Really hope PG somehow convinces them to port Bayo 1, 2, and W101 in a three pack or something. Probably the only way we'd get W101 on a system with a chance

“Yes, you are right, and we’re working on [Pikmin 4]. So, you know, when we’re in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit that into that list, but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now.” - Miyamoto

I don't know how to take that quote which was said at E3 2016. Perhaps it could be a 2018 title but who knows.
As mentioned before, The Pokémon Company would more likely do such a reveal either in a separate Pokémon Direct or in a random reveal.

Either way, I wouldn't expect a straight port of Sun/Moon. Maybe we'll get Stars sometime before E3, but that remains to be seen (& that's assuming that Stars is even real).
Stars would likely be a 3rd version/enhanced version. The only reason I'm inclined to believe the Stars rumor is that Eurogamer has an inside source that deals with the Pokémon franchise. They initially leaked Pokémon Niji which was the codename for Sun/Moon. Given the hints in Sun/Moon, I could see them doing something like allow you to travel to Kanto.

More than likely it was a "oh shit the Switch is coming soon we're skipping Wii U postpone the reveal to 2017".

Exactly, not a straight port.

As for Codename Niji (Rainbow), that actually came from Trev/SuperMetalDave.

Fuck it, we getting Smash Switch, Virtual console with GC, Wii, Wii U, 3DS. Ports for RE VII, Overwatch, Witcher 3, remake of Chrono Trigger, and to top it off, FFVII footage. Keeping expectations low here.

Might as well throw in MvCI while you're at it.

But real-talk, any predictions for when Splatoon 2 & ARMS will drop in terms of release months?

Does anyone think we'll get anything on Virtual Console? I'm not getting my hopes up, but...I kinda am.

I hope so. Other than Zelda right now, there's nothing I'm interested in besides I Am Setsuna and that overpriced atm.

I wouldn't mind playing something like SMRPG right now.

Secrets of the Sheikah: Nuts and Bolts (BotW DLC 1) - Purah has uncovered a veritable treasure trove of incredible Sheikah technology. Battle your way deep underground and uncover the tools to allow Link to create his own vehicles and aircraft
You joke, but I'd give someone else's left nut for something like this.

Did you guys play The Wonderful 101?
no one did ;_;

I think all 12 of us are here, including the seven of us who bought it at launch. I played through the whole thing with the pro controller, you definitely did not need touch controls. I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

It had one of the greatest soundtracks every to grace a video game. The story was also fantastic. A Saturday morning cartoon on crack. Now I am sad knowing it will probably never get a rerelease and even if it did it would still sell peanuts. :(

Really can't watch the Direct. Comes at 1 AM for me, having to wake at 6 AM.

Will just save the Youtube link already and enjoy it on my morning commute :p

Have to remember to not even check the email in the morning; pretty sure there will be something about Nintendo in it.

There is a countdown right on that page you posted...and it will probably be quoted on every page...plus its really simple to count it yourself....

thats the reason I asked, there would be no reason to quote it every page if it is in the op. plus keep your dots mr smartass, its really simple

This is going to be a long day before Direct time

Did you guys play The Wonderful 101?
no one did ;_;

Payed full price for it at launch, and eventually got 101% on my save

I even tweeted a pic of me unlocking
Bayonetta
to Kamiya, thanking him for making a wonderful game and how excited I was for Scalebound.

My guess:
Definitely gonna happen:

Arms release date (my guess would be either May 26 or June 2).
Splatoon 2 release date (my guess is mid-July).
Maybe 2-4 new characters for ARMS, some kind of party mode.
If there are more fighters announced, demo release for ARMS after Direct or 1-2 weeks after (Could be a limited demo, like only 2 fighters, or the version of ARMS shown at Switch events)
Nindies Sizzle reel
BoTW Summer DLC sneak peek
Brief MK8D trailer, preview.

Long shot:
Update to take and upload video
VC announcement
OS update (themes, eshop overhaul, streaming services like Netflix)

Not in a million years:
Wii U collection
Zelda Collection
GTA V
