I would expect mostly Splatoon and Arms and then some additional info on other game(s) but not necessarily a ton. Better to expect that and be happily surprised if there is more!![]()
Thank you all! So based on your replies, are you all feeling this will be more of a specific Direct focused mostly on Splatoon and Arms or is Nintendo due for a meatier heavier Direct? I'm trying to set expectations for surprises lol.
Assuming both 4Chan leaks are fake, we're faced with a big question. Do we prefer "leaks" that take a blurry screenshot of some named folders, or ones that just have text and a bunch of random details?
Yeah... That part seems to be the first first red flag. Though if we're pretending that anything is possible, it could be that they decided to add that to DLC pack 1 and do something different for pack 2.
I have my Switch and my credit card ready. You never know.
General Direct usually comes once every 2 months. Game-specific Direct happens a week or two before the game launch, but sometimes there's none.
"Mother 3 will become available on the eShop shortly after this presentation"
Rapidly open and closes the eShop until it appears
whats the latest buzz?
Pfft, I have all my credit card details in my head.I have my Switch and my credit card ready. You never know.
Reggie is going to ship Bill off to Pitcairn Islands this time.whats the latest buzz?

Last true "Nintendo Direct" was March, 2016.
That's the approach I'm taking right now! Though I hope that the release dates for ARMS and Splatoon 2 from that 4Chan leak are correct. Late May seems like the perfect time to release ARMS.

No. This is a general Direct, so it'll have lots of stuff. Except, instead of 2-4 minutes each on Splatoon/ARMS, it'll probably be around 10 minutes each as per the focus.,
Nothing really, there have been a few rumors that we've quickly proven fake.
Why wasn't the September 2016 one a true Direct?
So by my calculations, this stream will start in approximately 2½ hours from this post?

My only hesitation about June 30th for Splatoon 2 is I'd thought Nintendo clarified it wasn't coming H1. So I was thinking mid-July before the August Obon Festival in Japan. Though 06/30 is just barely H1 so perhaps it's close enough (presuming I'm even remembering that info correctly).
Two 4Chan rumors/leaks:
http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/373610738
http://boards.4chan.org/v/thread/372872764/nintendo-direct
Both requiring mild to moderate-sized grains of sea salt.

I haven't been able to read all the posts this afternoon; what proved these fake?
It was specifically for 3DS games. I'd call a "true" direct one where we get a forecast for the output of what the entire company is doing.
This is a Nintendo Direct newbie - let's keep his expectations reasonable! Lots of stuff could be a lot of details on games we already know about. There should be at least one or two significant new announcements involving first party content but we don't want the poor guy to get hype whiplash :O
The first 4chan rumor literally makes no sense. The second one with 80 VC games atleast makes sense.

I don't want to believe it because it doesn't include Gamecube though![]()

That's exactly what Nintendo told us to expect. That won't stop gaffers from going insane though.Thank you all! ?
In which universe does 80 VC games make sense? There'll be 10 games when VC launches and then they'll do 1-2 new titles a week as per usual.

All fake apperently. This is the new hot take: http://i.4cdn.org/v/1492002585047.jpg
