it'd be really cool if U7 loses, the universe is destroyed and the only survivors are whoever went to the tournament, and maybe some spectators

and it stays destroyed for a while

I keep hoping that's what happen that U7 loses and Zeno not wanting to lose his friend takes back word. It would piss off the other gods even more

Well, she's a woman in Dragon Ball, so no, probably not. And I say this as a huge 18 fan.

Always annoyed me how much of a sausage fest this show can be at times. Ah well.

If it's anything consolation, Vados is the second strongest character in the entire series after Zeno from what we know.

Good old Super Saiyajin Jobber.

That would definitely be interesting. Sounds almost like a GT scenario (lol), if they ended up traveling the stars searching for a way to make things right.

Of course, if they're stuck in the void or whatever, I wonder what they could possibly even do.

U7 loses
Goku and co challenge Zeno
A rift opens in above the stadium
Both future Trunks come back SSB and fuse into Super Trunks
They use the spirit sword to kill Zeno
Trunks (plural) now rule the multiverse

It would be interesting if someone else won, they were all killed, and then another person wished them back, like Hit or Jiren The Gray (since the latter is all about justice).

99% that's never going to happen though, it's still the Goku show and they were kind of setting him up as the rambo of all the universes.

If it's anything consolation, Vados is the second strongest character in the entire series after Zeno from what we know.

Vados tells Goku and Vegeta that she is Whis' older sister and that she is a little stronger than he is, but Whis disagrees.

Who knows about that one, it's just the word of each of them against each other.

Also re the guards and Zeno, it's not entirely clear afaik if the power to destroy universes also manifests as physical strength? Because why would the most powerful being need bodyguards at all. Perhaps they are the physical power, while he is the multiverse scale power but can't bring that down to a fistfight.

By the way Vados and Whis acted, them and the guards don't seem scared of each other, just mutually respectful while filling different roles, I wonder if they're about equal.

Actually, thinking organizationally, wouldn't they want the guards to be more powerful than the angles to handle any possible rogue?

Probably why i had the biggest smile when Toppo put him ni an armlock and 17 kept gut punching

at the point the god palace is, everyone is in only one direction: down

the gods are regularly shown looking at the planet from there and only now Dende moved it so I assume they are somehow seeing; prolly some magic on the palace itself or something divine. When God and Piccolo fuse, God is _looking_ at Cell, but Piccolo cannot see him because Cell is hiding his ki; Piccolo only learns of what God _saw_ once they fuse. so that proves that at least God could look around from the palace and use their eyes to see stuff on earth. it's not all ki reading (I think God first senses a lot of people getting killed, but feels nothing wrong, then he looks at Cell)

Ok first of all you don't know if any of that applies to Buu, but even then, if Chiaotzu and Tien dodged that thing, obviously 17 could.

If he's in a remote area, he probably didn't even notice it affected the whole earth right away and couldn't know where it was from.

it's hard to say whether he was alone but...if he was maybe he wasn't married by then? otherwise if he heard about Buu destroying cities...wouldn't he fly to his wife and potential kids to at least take them off a city?
now I want a drawing of 17 sitting with his family killed by Buu, drinking coffee and going "This is fine"

It is stated they live in an isolated place in a nature parc. So they had about no chance of getting killed by fat Buu who was targeting big cities.

also, who says 17 cannot sense ki by then? 18 is shown following the SSJ3 battle with her eyes closed so she can sense ki. have to wonder if they picked up stuff from Cell

tenor.gif

What ? They were literally seeing Goku by closing their eyes thanks to Babidi's telepathy, that had nothing to do with ki feeling.

I guess 17 had his terrible reasoning skills already by then "eh, if Buu kills everyone the Minotaur is gonna be protected anyway so I may as well stay here guarding it"

It's not "terrible", Goku said it was basically the end of existence. 17 doesn't want to go against fatality, which is an interesting take I guess. Not allowing animal cruelty by shitty humans is something else than the end of time.

As for the buu saga :

1) He knows of the Dragon Balls, therefore he knows no victims are permanent, so he probably wasn't planning on intervening at first

2) He saw Goku go at it, so he knew the Z fighters were handling it

3) he has no way to locate any of them, especially not over the few hours where those events took place. The only place he knew was Kame House, and nobody was there.

we don't know how powerful he was at the time, but in 7 years he MUST have reached at least Cell levels, or otherwise he rised from his old power levels to SSB levels in the time between Buu saga and now...4 years? but the 7 years before that he did nothing?

maybe getting killed stupidly by Buu started his interest in training

I mean, 4 years is still a pretty long time. It's possible he trained even harder after getting killed when the earth blew up.

In no way was it a stupid kill, since not even Blue Vegeta survived it when Frieza did it.

Also remember he "forgot" about Buu and Babidi because of the wish, but it's possible he kept the motivation without remembering where it came from. Hell, maybe he thought Cell's level was the max, and pushed himself higher after seeing Goku going beyond that. And 6 months later he forgot but kept going since he had surpassed Cell :D .

I hope Universe 7 loses and we get some crazy ending that leads into the next arc. That's the one thing Super lacks. The arcs just don't really flow well into each other that well like in Dragonball and Z. Z flowed great from Saiyan to Namek to Androids to Cell. Buu was the only arc that had little to do with the rest of the series, but that makes sense since there was a time skip.

and lol @ Goku's battle boner. Dude has never been so battle hungry in his life since fighting Beerus. He's Cell/Buu Vegeta level in battle hunger.

Pan was 4 at the end of Z, so, it's been about 6 to 7 years since the Buu saga.

dunno if 17 would take that calmly that there's a guy killing people; if he saw the babidi warnings and Buu destroying cities, I doubt he would stay calm and not go to his family to protect them, big cities or not

unless it is another case of 17 "eh I don't care whether me and/or my family get killed or not, that's just fate, gotta protect the minotaur"

What ? They were literally seeing Goku by closing their eyes thanks to Babidi's telepathy, that had nothing to do with ki feeling.

aah forgot about that

edit: ah, when 18 is fighting goten and trunks in the mighty mask costume, she doesn't know who they are, sure, but at least she is able to recognize them as super saiyan despite no seeing their hair; she must be feeling _something_

It's not "terrible", Goku said it was basically the end of existence. 17 doesn't want to go against fatality, which is an interesting take I guess. Not allowing animal cruelty by shitty humans is something else than the end of time.

fate/fatality only applies if you _really_ cannot do anything about it

once goku asks you to do something about not getting erased it stops being fatality and starts being negligence

this is a dude that can prolly circle the earth in a really short time, at least going by the gotenks feats

finding the fight by going around the planet and looking for the explosions would be reasonable, particularly given the babidi transmissions and also just following the general explosions

besides, what do you think happened once he discovered his family was killed by the genocide attack? do you really think he went "aaah but there are dragon balls. next month 18 will call me by phone and I will ask her about the dragon balls. I am sure everything will be fine until then". he must know that he has to reunite the dragon balls, and must know it is not easy. doubt he didn't set off immediately in search of anyone who knew about it, and the closest knowing person must be 18

then again, maybe 17 went "eh, it was fate that my family was gruesomely killed, what cha gonna do"

She is stronger than Whis but since no comparison was made to other angels she's the third as of now.

I'm pretty sure they said in the show that Zeno's bodyguards are 2nd and 3rd strongest and Whis' father is stronger than him so that would make him 4th strongest. Maybe I made all that up though.

The Grant Priest is the Strongest, they never said anything about the bodyguards

What if the ending is that U6 wins, and everyone from U7's Earth and New Namek move to to U6's Earth and New Namek as a favour from Champa?

The place they live in is inside the park he protects. They are isolated. There's random poachers once in a while. Considering he can fly over his park pretty fast (and knows where they live), I'd say he doesn't have to be right next to them 24/7.

Well we can debate about semantics, it's all about point of view. It is fatality to him. The fact that something could erase existence entirely represents fatality, as in maybe he doesn't think he would make a difference. Or precisely, it's their destiny to either win or lose and he won't go against it, "so be it".

Stuff like "everybody dies one day". If everyone is gone then there's no mourning, no pain. I guess he doesn't mind it because it's the end of any suffering at once, and "ignorance is bliss" so the people that don't know about it can't get afraid.
(I don't fully agree with him even though I get his mentality, for the record, but let's wait next week. Even though I'm guessing it's more the "fun" side of it that will convince him.)

Still not the same as greedy humans torturing animals to get richer though.

That's dumb.

He literally saw Goku fight Buu, why the heck would he go there ? And then heard him say someone stronger than him would come and kill him shortly.......

He had no reason to intervene (given his personality) since he knew the Z fighters were on the case and had access to the Dragon Balls.
His family was at a remote location that was very likely not to get blown up.

Also the flying bit is kinda cringe worthy. As if you'd find what you're looking for that easily while having no idea where it is on a surface that large (the entire world). Have you seen how much of a struggle Gohan had with finding an earring ?:p
Imagine finding one guy randomly through the world. (since the telepathy stopped right after Goku showed up)
On top of that he had no reason not to believe what Goku said at that point.

As for post genocide, considering he has no idea the lookout exists, even "flying over the world" would lead him absolutely nowhere. What happened after Buu came out of the HTC also happened over a very short amount of time (the longest time sink being the time Buu took to run away from Gohan, where nobody was fighting).

1) Who said he'd be cool seeing his family dead ? Of course not. He still can't do anything. He also saw Buu turn entire cities into candies, so maybe he felt like he needed a plan to : locate and beat him. We still have 0 way to know if he was at Cell's level or beyond too. And it all happened very quickly.

2) Why would he ask her about he dragon balls ? He'd assume they'd ask for all the victims to be revived, like they did for Cell... And to be fair that thought probably helps not "losing it". That's not far fetched.

then again, maybe 17 went "eh, it was fate that my family was gruesomely killed, what cha gonna do"

Yeah or then again it's not like he could do anything.

17 is back full force on Tumblr.

There's so many cool shots :D . His new design and personality seem to have pleased the girls a lot too :p .

well then he discovers even more quickly that they all have been murdered and there is more time for him to fly around in rage looking for the culprits

instead of, you know, sitting around hoping Goku fixes it

even Tenshinhan, who didn't even have hope of damaging Buu showed up, and he had no dead family to avenge. why would 17 not show up somehow?

even if he could not feel ki, it'd be easy to blow up a few mountains and have the problems go to him instead

Well we can debate about semantics, it's all about point of view. It is fatality to him. it's not semantics: "hey if we win this tournament we don't get erased, you are p strong you should help" is extremely straightforward

we normally make fun of Goku for risking the existence of Earth on random tournaments just to check his own strength, and the reverse argument also works; refusing to participate when the opportunity is offered is also stupid

That's dumb.

because his family got killed by Buu?

even then, he must be employed by _someone_. being a ranger means depending on a government, and those tend to be in big cities. and you know he IS employed cause he is being paid big bucks

it's not like he could go "I hope the guys who pay me don't get destroyed until Goku -a guy I've never met- solves everything"

Also the flying bit is kinda cringe worthy. As if you'd find what you're looking for that easily while having no idea where it is on a surface that large (the entire world). Have you seen how much of a struggle Gohan had with finding an earring ?:p

On top of that he had no reason not to believe what Goku said at that point.

do you think that 17 would stay at home, chillin' until 18 comes to him with the dragon balls?

he would try _something_ and flying around the world looking for the destruction path is reasonable; if you have a map, and know that such and such city go destroyed, you can fly there in literally minutes

just because you have no imagination and cannot think of how to solve such a problem doesn't mean android 17 would not think of a solution either, and just flying around looking for the destruction is only one of the possible solutions

he could go to a destroyed city and re-destroy the place; Buu surely would notice something is going on. surely there are other options

dunno, there are tons of ways for a superpowered guy to find Buu _if_ he really wanted. if he didn't it's cause either he was dead, he just felt "it was fate" and stayed put or...he is not very smart

I mean... Mr Satan finds Buu and he cannot sense Ki, or fly, or destroy cities

As for post genocide, considering he has no idea the lookout exists, even "flying over the world" would lead him absolutely nowhere. What happened after Buu came out of the HTC also happened over a very short amount of time (the longest time sink being the time Buu took to run away from Gohan, where nobody was fighting).

well you are the one saying that 17 would stay put waiting for people to be revived. I bolded the part where you said that he would do nothing and just wait for the problem to solve itself....then get blown up with the earth like a chump

dunno how long it went since the genocide to the destruction of earth. at least a couple of hours? more than enough time imho. Particularly since Piccolo gave Buu the long walkaround, the pause for the Gotenks fusion refill, Vegeta showing up, etc

also we don't know if he doesn't even know of the lookout. Even if his relationship with 18 seems distant, I _ASSUME_ at some point he asked how come he got revived if his last memory was getting absorbed by Cell...maybe he even saw everything from inside Cell? he must have heard of how the dragonballs removed the bomb in him
