then again, maybe 17 would just turn on the android 16 he has been repairing in his spare time, and ask him where Buu is

Wait, some of you guys are discussing 17's family living in the park he protects, but I thought the newest episode had 17 saying he's working away from home and that's why Goku couldn't meet them on the island.

Yeah, that is right - she was quite prominent in the movies, now that I think about it.
She even fought Broly, which I guess would be after the Martial Arts Tournament (though it doesn't really fit into canon).

Funimation's home releases of Super start in July. Unlike the Japanese release that had 12 episodes, Funimation's part 1 has 13 episodes, odd. If they were going to increase the count they might as well have bumped it to 14 to put the whole BoG arc in one set. It'll be interesting to see if the Box art is the same as the Japanese one.

The funniest part to me is that if they keep the same box arts for these boxes the art is going to desync a bit. Box 3 had Golden Freeza looking menacing, if Funi stays at 13 episodes the set with Golden Freeza on the box will only have the final episode of that arc (Where Golden Freeza only gets his ass handed to him), and Box 4 will have Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta in his Whis outfit and the first episode of that box will be the final part of Goku vs Hit, but hey at least after that for the time being the boxes will be lined up. Box 6 would be pretty lucky, it had Vegetto on the cover and if Funimation sticks to 13 episodes a box then the first episode in that set would be the Vegetto episode. It could definitely create some more weird shit in the future though.

Is Erasa Gohan's highschool friend? I'm not sure I ship her with 17. I want Launch back in the supporting cast but I like how DBZ filler suggested she likes Tien. Bulma loved Yamcha at one point though and moved on to Vegeta. So I'm not against Launch being with 17. I'm imagining 17 with a shy girl though.

She was Videl's best friend and had a crush on Gohan. She completely disappeared after the world tournament though, which is kinda sad since she's one of the few non-fighter secondary characters who knows that Gohan is the Golden Fighter and Great Saiyaman.
DB Wikia claims she had a cameo in DB Super but I don't remember that.

The hell are you talking about, I was referring to Buu blowing up cities, saying 17 wouldn't care since he saw Goku intervening and knew about Dragon Balls. (so it didn't matter how many cities Buu blew up since he knew they'd all be revived and a stronger hero than Goku would show up, on top of that, his family was not in reach)
Hardly see how that would help since they didn't fight near those cities. Stop acting like there was some sort of constant destruction.
I already explained why he wouldn't give a fuck about the destroyed cities before the genocide, and Buu didn't destroy any after it.
Well considering he would have never looked for him before the genocide, and that Buu was literally not on earth after said genocide, visited the HTC then fought Gotenks shortly in the manga and Buu went in hiding when Gohan showed up.
Buutenks also lasted very shortly because of the SSJ3 fusion running fast, then Goku teleported far away to Vegeta, fused, they fought in the sky (once again briefly in the manga, as they go super saiyan right away), then got absorbed, and Buu stood somewhere immobile. Then BOOM.

As for super Buu, enough time for what? If you count the time where Buu could actually be found, then no, that was clearly not enough time. It's not like Buu stayed in one place, destroying one city over and over for the whole time.
He wasn't even on earth for a long time then literally went in hiding. Tien made it right before Vegeto and he knew where they all were. Speed is nothing if you don't know where to go, you need luck. Guess he wasn't lucky.
Also, if it keeps you up at night, there's the alternative theory that Babidi's waves are like Wifi, and they didn't reach 17's park properly. Maybe 17 was in a cave at the time.

And then we can go back to the theory where 17 was on a "mission" alone again. Surrounded by animals. And then he literally didn't know about Buu until the earth exploded.
Then you might go with your superman ability given to Buu again, but that would just be an oddity for 17, to see some lame beam reach down to him (that Chaotzu dodged), so he wouldn't be alarmed by it.
Then earth exploded, game over.

Does anyone else think the fighting area will be absolutely colossal (it's taking the Grand Priest 48 hours to build it) and that's how they will get around the clusterfuck of the battle royale? So even though it's a battle royale you'll still have plenty of opportunity for 1v1s without interference
