Persona 5 |OT2| Someone must have been helping you go to bed early. Talk!

Everyone in the cast has a different hair color. The cast and the confidants stand out soooooo much compared to the rest of the world.

General opinion is, it's about to get worse. Quit while you are ahead. I'm telling you this as someone whose favorite game is Persona 5. But when you have to stop playing because you hate something...just stop.

I'll take a break, and break up the palace into smaller play chunk sessions is all. That's all.

No way I would give up on P5 which is a strong contender to take my spot from P4 as the GOAT game.

Let me ask you this people( P5 shit tier translation amirite), and I am serious. Palace 5 is one of the easiest and shortest in the game. What's so bad about it? I still don't get it. In a game with a shitty overlong dungeon like Palace 3, what's so bad about Palace 5? Outside of Palace 6, 5 is the shortest. So why is it so bad? I know that everyone HATES the dungeons in P5 but...explain please?

I had no issues with it.

Other than the airlock animations taking a while.

I had no issues with Palace 7 either though.

5th dungeon:

I had a somewhat hilarious battle with the Director. I had Shiki-Ouji with his Nul Phys/Nul Gun for my player character. The Director's minions wiped out the rest of my party before I could do any substantial damage with their triple gun attack to everyone ability. I got it down to him and one minion, but then suddenly found myself at an impasse. He is weak to curse, but I only had instant-kill curse spells, which I knew would never work. I could do small amounts of physical damage to him and his minion, but every time either of them got low the minion would blow itself up to heal him. He'd then immediately summon a new one. Since I had a Regen ability and an SP badge, I just let it auto-battle for a couple of minutes until my SP was full.

It then dawned on me that I had never tried Psy damage, which happens to be his only other weakness. I managed to revive a couple of teammates and use All-out Attacks to prevent the minion from healing him, and finally took him down. I also felt sort of stuck because that area requires you to go around 30-40 minutes before you can get back to the safe room, with the Director at the very end. It was a bright spot in an otherwise tediously long dungeon!

I thought it would have been better if it had one less puzzle room. Maybe make it longer but with more combat focused rooms.

That's about it though. I consider it the "least good", not really bad, and I liked palace 3 as well (same there tho, one too many PIN puzzles).

I really hate that you can't go back into Leblanc during the day without progressing to the evening.

Especially when someone is there to hang out with you. I accidentally left instead of taking to Futaba in a booth but since I couldn't go back in I reloaded a save. Unfortunately the same was from before doing 4 levels in Mementos the previous day.

I really wish there was a new version of Aria of the Soul, as well as more music for the Velvet Room. P2IS and P2EP each had two classical pieces in rotation along with Aria of the Soul.

Post 4th dungeon Mementos quest:
The guy cheating at the arcade, and his shadow is an Osw... What the hell am I not thinking of here? I tried Sukukaja, Sukunda, Tarunda, physical reflection, pretty much everything my SMT experience would lead me to try... But nothing hits, not even reflected hits.

Edit: Never mind, turns out I needed to be patient for another turn.

The point is that he's cheating.

Just survive for a while and Plot will happen.

"Have a normal conversation with someone my age..."
"By Jove, I think I've got it!"

Futaba, by jove isn't really normal, lol.

Lol

Or should I say kek, that's what this generation speaks according to Mishima.

Edit: I AM DYING

Futaba's 5th (I think) S Link
"This overwhelmingly forgettable appearance, generic speech style, and total lack of sex appeal...

Nishima, are you an NPC?!"

omg and then the responses
I had to go with the obvious one

Completed the game in 110 hours.

I gotta say, overall the game is good but I had more feels in P4's ending.

I think this, right now, is the longest JRPG, topping DQVII and DQVIII.

This game will never be a cult classic will it? Haven't seen this much "Meh" reactions since Dragon Age Inquisition.

What? I haven't noticed that at all. The praise seems almost universal to me.

Rest this thread. And the spoiler thread if you are finished. Critic reviews =/= the popular opinion. See Skyrim, Dark Souls III, Dragon Age Inquisition, etc.

I believe the translation complaints are just a side effect of the bigger deal of, most people are meh on the game. The reaction is so fucking cold.
That's a total 180 from what I gathered in this thread a week ago. And from the rest of the internet in general, lol

Does anyone have a list of all possible decorations for your room and shelf? So far I've only got Ramen Bowl, Rise Poster and Jack Frost Doll.

Ignore F0rneus, who lives in some alternate universe where this extremely popular game is absolutely hated by everyone outside this thread.

I don't give a damn. Got a PSN copy and a Take Your Heart Copy afterwards. IMO? The best game of all time. Straight up. Better than OOT. Better than RE4. And I ordered that copy AFTER the hate! I just don't care.

I'm just reading through your posts on this page alone, and yeesh, you seem to care way too much about this game's reception...

But... aren't you the one who brought the subject up?

I have read both thouroughly and have no idea where that's coming from.

You must be on a completely different planet to me... this game is pretty hot right now.

Still with that insane "everybody hates Persona 5 except me because im special and I love shit games" narrative?
