What music are you listening to right now?

Right now I'm listening to the Transatlantic debut for the first time. Specifically the song "In held (twas) in I", which I read it's a cover. So far the album has been great, cool prog rock with no annoying noises or forgettable/superfluous instrumental sections (which are some fairly common things I don't like, despite being a fan of the genre). This song did start with a spoken part that was boring, but it wasn't that long and it's gotten better now.

I had only heard their album Kaleidoscope before, and I remember enjoying it too. If the rest of the discography remains at this same level, this is gonna be one great band.

I was introduced to vaporwave late last year? Maybe early this year. Either way I've fallen in love. Really got into Telepath. The one album I keep listening to is this one

It's a split with another artist. Telepath's tracks start with number 16. Track 19 specifically has some sort of strange hold on me. I'm obsessed with it. There is something subconsciously therapeutic about this whole genre. I'm so happy it exists.

Hmmm sounds nice, thanks for the recommendation.
I agree there's something very, I don't know, "warm and cozy" about this music. It's super relaxing...

Been listening to Ka a lot lately. Dark, atmospheric hip-hop with dense lyrics that paint vivid pictures of a dark upbringing and explore this using complex themes and ideas. Honour Killed the Samurai is stunning.

I just beat Persona 5, so I've finally allowed myself to listen to the OST without fear of running into spoilers. Boss theme, heist theme, exam theme, and sixth palace theme on repeat.

Westkust - Touch

'Layer Cake' from Persona 5.

It's a Shop Theme, but I don't shop all too often so I don't hear it much in-game. It's ace. Played it in the car yesterday and my Dad asked, "What is this?" Told him and he kind of nodded and said, "Wouldn't have thought it was from a game."

I always like to hear that from my family, because they still think things are all blip-blops and Mario Overworld in video games... Despite the fact I've played new stuff they surely heard coming from the television speakers, lol.

I was just listening to City of Dreams by Talking Heads. Don't care too much for the True Stories album, but I've exhausted most everything else, so I'm picking around for any missed gems. I probably thought this was a little corny the first time around, but now, with everything happening in the world these days, it just makes me sad.

Have dozen of albums on rotation but to name a couple of the newer ones

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
No Turning Back - No Time To Waste
Body Count - Bloodlust
Sorority Noise - You Are Not As _____ As You Think

Thrupence's new album, Ideas Of Aesthetics, is perfect background music. Have had it on constant repeat since yesterday (yep, even when I slept, although on much lower volume).

New Kendrick album, MUSHA and Rayforce soundtracks, this Bx rapper I just found out about named Ta'shane who was down with the DITC crew and was dope as fuck--and then I also found out he was murdered couple years back. Also the new Buttertones album. And lots of retro synth shit generally.

I remembered that Bloc Party's Silent Alarm exists, and after not really liking it too much a few years ago I put it back on yesterday and I'm pretty much in love. It's the kind of 2000's Punk that I was looking for, and good lord are the instrumentals incredible. The guitar and drums especially, holy shit

Somehow just discovered Tame Impala. Listened to all of their material over the past week.

I'm in love with their newest album, Currents.

Some of their older stuff is a bit too "rock" sounding to me (I can't think of a better way to phrase this currently). But I really love the synthpop feel of Currents.
