It wasn't as "poppy" as the first one but it felt more solid than the first one. It's my favorite marvel sequel after Civil War.

DC should show marvel for making a better Green Lantern movie than they did .

I mostly enjoyed it, but it was way too forced and jokey at times. Especially during emotional scenes where they weren't confident enough to let the scenes stand on their own without adding a dumb punchline.

Really enjoyed the movie. My main complaint has nothing to do with the movie but the fact that I had to watch it opening night due to some traveling coming up and it reminding me why I never watch movies opening nights. Couple of dudes right next to me kept snickering, laughing, clapping, oohhhs and ahhss all the time on howard the duck, watchers, etc and it kept distracting me from the movie. Then a couple of people had to go to the bathroom and walk right in front of my face.

Ego is probably the most well written villain in the MCU. Really liked the movie.

And to think the only reason it happened is because Marvel allowed Fox to change Negasonic's power set for deadpool. I wish they hadn't killed him off though. I also wish they hadn't killed off Yondu. They showed how big a badass he was in this movie.

Really enjoyed the movie. This is not the greatest movie. I didn't laugh at as many jokes. The soundtrack didn't hit as hard (Mr Blue Sky & Flashlight are legit as always) but goddam is Gunn an amazing filmmaker at earning that payoff for the audience.

That brief shot of Yondu teaching Peter how to shoot will be my enduring memory of this movie.

People loved baby Groot at the end of the first one and people love him in this one, who cares why he was put into the film? It gave us a great character with a ton of great moments.

Also, no, I don't buy that Disney told them to put him in. This is a movie that was going to have Adam Warlock in it until James Gunn thought, "Nah, doesn't work" and now he's gonna be in the third.
