Actually, thinking about it, considering how there was that shot of shirtless Tenshinhan looking all bulked up next episode, I wonder whether he'll have a Max power transformation too now, or if he taking off his shirt will just magically reveal all those Cell Saga muscles underneath.

Yes! He's going to do something impressive! DB seems to have a tendency of marrying characters, maybe he will catch the eye of a female Saiyan character through his role in this arc? Maybe he gets placed on another universes team through some bizarre happenstance? I like this idea because it's sort of a juxtaposition (maybe I'm not using the word correctly in this instance) of Bulma marrying a Saiyan. I would love to see Yamcha and a potential Saiyan spouse have a half-human/half-saiyan baby girl

Nah, she left after him, but couldn't get used to his life style and so couldn't really stay with him. Although when Toriyama said that he also said that Tenshinhan was living in a farm in the middle of nowhere, and just training and farming (basically eating only the food produced by themselves), not in a big dojo like this. So, I'm not sure if that backstory is even really applicable at this point.

we can't keep power levels consistent, back stories and backgrounds are the same.
Goku to be revealed to not be a Saiyan but another more powerful race within the next 15 episodes.

The Saiyan arc showed Launch (sneezing girl) being really sad over Tenshinhan's death but I think that is a filler scene. I don't know if any canon material linked Launch to being interested in Tenshinhan. But I miss Launch and support an official Tenshinhan x Launch ship
This is interesting. Was it canon that she was living with him but left eventually?
He looks fantastic there. I'm more of a Yamcha/Tenshinhan/Chiaotzu cheerleader when it comes to the human Z Fighters but Krillin is much more of a main character than the other 3 and he was a huge asset in the Saiyan and Frieza arcs.

in the original show they showed the blonde version of her having a MAJOR crush on Tenshin and him blushing at some of her advances. But I guess it went the way of Bulma x yamcha.

Her crush on Tenshinhan was canon, and it was mentioned in the manga in the beginning of the Saiyan Saga that she left after him. Filler then showed her living with him when the others went to recruit him to train with kami, and there was that scene where she's drinking after he dies. Then she never appears again until the end of the Buu Saga for another filler scene.
Like I said above, it came from Toriyama, but it was only mentioned in an interview, not in any actual work. And there was an older interview where he said that Tenshinhan initially rejected her but eventually she got through him and they got together. So, those interview answers regarding Tenshinhan seem very unreliable.

Thanks for all this info! It's fascinating. I only watched the beginning episodes of Dragon Ball and I never watched the Saiyan saga of Z (despite this, I have a soft spot for Lunch). I need to fix this. Probably will just read the manga over going through the anime though

I know, I know. I started with the Android arc. Saw most of the Frieza arc. Felt I understood the Saiyan arc enough to not have a need to go back and watch it. Watched the first 20ish episodes of Dragon Ball but then only tuned into it sporadically.
