I thought the placement was fine. We get some encouraging words from Piccolo, commercial break, then Cabba. I don't know how they could have placed it any better.

Should have been at the end or replaced the scene at Capsule Corp. That scene was completely unnecessary.

Now that I know the episode I don't hate it, but I hated it the first time watching when it was eating into Gohan time, what made it worse was it stacking on the Bulma on Beerus action.

I watched it again and think it's fine.

i like that cabba is the protagonist of u6
He's the typical shonen hero of justice to counteract Goku's flippant selfishness. It works really well.

Just rewatched Vegeta's atonement in the Buu Saga.

Really great episode, especially the stuff with Goten and Trunks, but it's hard to not think it's the most wasted sacrifice in the series. Granted there's a lot of sacrifices that result is absolutely nothing in the series, but I feel like Vegeta's has the most build up and the least overall impact. The only other two that are comparable are maybe Chiaotzu's death in the saiyan saga or Roshi's death against king piccolo. I wouldn't include Goku's death against cell as a wasted one, since he did prevent the planet from blowing up.

The anime staff did a great job to expand Piccolo vs Babidi into an actual fight.

Piccolo gives Gohan shit for not killing Buu, but Piccolo didn't exactly do a better job against Babidi.

Maybe you have an arrogance problem as well Piccolo.

To be fair he cut him in half and thought he was dead. Once he found out Babidi wasn't, he was about to kill him but Majin Buu appeared and he left.

Krillin needs to hit Goku or Vegeta with the Destructo Disk by mistake, so we can see if they can live without half of their body. Since every other species besides humans apparently can.

I don't know, Krillin should create his own myth busters as a side thing.

Today we're gonna test the myth that saiyans can breathe in space, Goku's here as a special guest to help us out.

Meanwhile the B Team(Yamcha, Turtle, and cardboard cutout of Launch) are going to find out if chasing island squirrels really is more effective than training with god.

True, but I can't say it was undeserved since Vegeta sacrificing himself doesn't make up for him being an asshole. There is a reason why Piccolo said Vegeta was going to burn in hell.

I think Ojisan (Uncle) is a way in Japanese to refer to a middle aged man. The dub uses "Mister Piccolo" which is actually kinda accurate.

if he said ojisan specifically then yeah. It doesn't necessarily mean you look at that person as family. Gohan probably does though, I mean Piccolo is family and his mentor his whole life. He's even the babysitter.

From the earlier reaction I sense it's not a popular topic here, but I realized I had nothing better to watch today and decided I have never seen the team four star dragon ball videos (even though I subscribe to Masakox and watch his dragon ball super stuff)

I can see why it's so popular. I don't know if I've laughed anywhere near as much as the yu gi oh abridged series. But at least it's more consistent in production quality I guess. Will finish/catch up with this.

Nothing will top YuGiOh S0 Abridged

Both are excellent.

Yo that badass looking Roshi. Even if he still ends up a jobber it's cool that he's getting screentime again.

I expected that tbh, otherwise they would have changed the opening since slender Buu was revealed. Or maybe this a kind of a new tranformation he developed when he gets angry to gain more power and move faster that we will witness during the tournament.

So Gohan seems missing in that picture. Is he confirmed as the one to be missing from the tournament?

Gohan's there. Bottom right.

My bet is they both transform into Broly style saiyans. Only way to explain her name.

I wonder if caulifla is meant to be a red herring, like we werent suppose to know about kale, but they never leave anything a mystery anymore cause they always tell everything >.>

wonder why FTrunks keeps his jacket closed now

always dug the short jacket, tho new design is good too. it was just odd during the legendary transformation

A man in his 30s, cant keep going for the cool look, gotta stay warm in post apocalyptic earth

I mean he may have a point of the Vegeta and Cabba connection

We're talking about his looks and personality. The "connection" to Vegeta was visual with the pose and the garlick gun to cement the fact that he's a saiyan. He's not royalty, he's a mercenary, he looks like Gohan and behaves like a typical shonen hero. He's there to contrast the u7 saiyans, not "represent Vegeta".

goddamn Cabba looks like a dweeb here, like someone's annoying little brother trying to copy his cool older brother.

I see a lot of people saying this arc is the last "hurrah" for the current cast before they get old.

Why ?

17 18 Goku Vegeta Gohan Roshi Piccolo Buu won't age much by end of Z.

Which leaves Krilin Tien and Bulma as the "old ones".

Tien's rigorous training might preserve his body. (especially since he seems to become a teacher, and both the hermits had huge longevity)

As for Krilin and Bulma, they're both married to characters that age very slowly.

So they can literally just do that :

I don't see why they wouldn't ? Otherwise they'll die long before their loved ones which is not something you'd want.

I don't know, I always liked the direction Buu saga took in this matter, retiring most of the old Z warrior while introducing a new generation to take the baton (Goten, Trunks, Uub, and maybe Pan in the future?). I would like if Super continued with that. Every few arcs retire some characters while introducing new ones. Keeping things fresh and solve the problem of power levels.

cosplay vs original
when you wear it vs what it looked like when you ordered it online
