I can't be the only one who feels that no one is an asshole in Civil War. Just flawed people reacting emotionally to the very thing that matters the most to them, love and friendship.
When things didn't go as imagined, they let their emotion get the best of them, especially Tony and Steve. But it's hard to blame them when one feels that he lost everything that matters to him, including his friends, while the other feels that his long-lost tie to the old world, his old friend, is in danger.
I understand Tony well, actually. It really *hurts* seeing someone you considered a friend picking another person over you. It doesn't matter that you think they are not good enough friends. To Tony they were and he was hurt that Steve would pick Bucky's side over him. Especially since it involves murder.
Ross was the exception. I wish they'd had time to develop him a little more, it was super clear he was manipulating events so he could control the Avengers (he just happened to have superhero Guantanamo built in case Lagos happened?).
Also, he's totally wearing a tie with Red Hulk colours when he first shows up and nobody's noticed that and it's stressing me out.
Seeing Guardians 2 for the second time tonight in 3D. Really looking forward to it.
