Sony Playstation: First Party Studios & their Current Projects

Opening will be either with Sucker Punch's New Game or From Exclusive or Capcom's Exclusive, Going with God Of War just make it a Rehash of Last E3, Not saying the game is Bad or something , you could end The show with It.

If by some work of magic Death Stranding is ready to show a gameplay demo that will open the show. If not, then either Bloodborne 2 if it's happening, or Spider-Man if BB2 isn't a thing

Even back in 2014, Sony kept most of their first party games and announcements toward the beginning of the conference. I see no reason why that wouldn't continue.

Something like:
- From exclusive (Bloodborne 2 or something, bring the hype early)
- Sucker Punch (everyone is expecting it like Bend last year)
- Dreams (big re-debut for a game that has kind of fallen off the radar)
- Detroit (new character and release window)
- Days Gone (improved demo showcasing more of its mechanics)
- Spider-Man (long-awaited demo)

Then the third party, VR and indie stuff before one more megaton and a God of War demo to close it out.

Ok lets think about this for a sec, We know the Show is happening in th Shrine and most probably the Orchestra will Return , So which Game could have the most Impactful Symphony opening just like God of War, My bet is either Bloodborne 2/Demon soul 2 or Sony Japan New big Ip . Obviously I am Reaching but this how i thought it will make sense.

Question: what other game could have a Powerful Soundtrack suited for Orchestra??

Sony didn't have an indie section last year.
I can't blame them for not having it this year as well. They have WAY to many games to show in so little time.

As for the opener, it's gotta be one of these:
-Sucker Punch IP. (this is either going to be 1st or 2nd, it's really going to depend on how crazy hype the game looks)
-Bloodborne II or From/JP New IP
-RDR 2 (a long shot, but would make one hell of an opener)
-Agent (if we are pulling another Last Guardian)
-A return of an Old IP (Sony's playing the nostalgia game with so many old titles being rerelease or remastered)

FF7 Remake gameplay

Opening with Sucker Punch's project and closing with a God of War set piece. They have to start and finish with their most visually impressive titles since MS will have had the opportunity to flex their muscles with games running on Scorpio, a day earlier...

Do we have any idea what London is up to?

another vr game

London Studio have done a great job in leading the way in VR development, and as their first project nears completion it is time to plan for the next VR project. The team will take all their learnings and experience as they move forward, however in order to achieve its ambitious goals, the Studio will need to restructure around the needs of the new projects

This could be It but its not a new Announcement as per say, buts still the probability of it happening is high.

Do you really want the Audience and viewers to passed out due to Orgasmic opening for the Rest of the Show, Please Keep this a little low profile. okay!!

Not only that, every trailer thereafter would feel much less amazing.

The orchestra can make people super nostalgic by playing some recognizable FF7 music while showing of the game. I know that there is like 0.001% chance this will happen but imagine if they started by playing some epic music and showed of a epic CG trailer and at the end of the trailer Yoshitaka Amano art Final Fantasy 16 (XVI).

I wonder if SIE will announce the acquisition of new studios. I know Scott Rhodee talked about it back in 2015, that they were ready to look for new acquisitions of studios to add to their WWS. Hope Quantic Dream is gonna be part of them. :P

Not studio, but Capcom just for Gaf meltdown.

thats not what he said tho.

He said they are always open to add studios to their WWS Family if its a transaction that makes sense, not that they were on the lookout for more studios

They've been disbanding more frequently than adding, i think financially it makes more sense for them to keep their absolute best 10 teams, and use the money they saved from closing other studios to make marketing deals with third party games. The PS4 doubled its NPD sales the month Destiny came out. Even Uncharted and Horizon didnt come close to doing that.

Uncharted didn't but Horizon month was pretty impressive. The PS4 sold about 400-436k which, while 100k less than Destiny month, is pretty impressive for March.

Especially as it made PS4 sales in NA go up year-over-year despite PS4 selling less in Jan/Feb of this year compared to last (so it made up for that deficit plus some).

Honestly I do think Insomniac is big enough to do Spider-Man and Ratchet at the same time. Mostly because they said the 2016 Ratchet was made with a shockingly small team that cranked it out super quickly by modern standards. We're also talking about a dev that released FIVE games last year: Ratchet & Clank, Song of the Deep, Edge of Nowhere, Feral Rites and The Unspoken...

Actually, thinking of it that way, Spider-Man may be even earlier in development than we thought give the bulk of its man-power has probably only moved over within the past six to eight months.

Fall 2017? :D

Greg said there was no way in fuck we'd see that game this year. Happened around the time we first saw that video surface earlier this year. He was kinda pissed people found it b/c he thought it'd lend false credence to the idea the game has a chance of hitting this year.

I kind of concur tbh. That game's 2018. Still doesn't even have a name lol.

Agreed, I think they have some stuff going on in the background with Ratchet and Clank.

How about Resistance? Sony doesn't have a first person shooter anymore. They won't abnadon that market would they? If Insomniac doesn't have a big team left for a new entry they might remake the first Resistance in R&C 2016 style.

I don't think Greg's visit is Spider-Man related despite the Gif. Why would he call it a secret project? plus Greg like to throw people off with stuff like that.

isn't Spider-Man Insomniac's first open world game? i'm a bit worried, just a bit but i hope they get everything right. Day & night cyle + dynamic weather changes is a MUST HAVE.
