It wouldn't surprise me if they upped the price considering they're making gear for all DLC.

I agree. I'm expecting a slighter higher price to accomodate the gear development as well. The first game's DLC characters never received additional costumes outside of Zod, but given the level of customisation in this game, I think a price increase is fair.

Shaders drop yeah and I don't really think gear makes a big enough difference to have to wear best in slot all the time.

Likely other rewards too, but this is the only one known so far.

I stopped playing the early release version of the Mobile game, because I assumed there'd be a progress wipe before general release. I logged in after it was released on the Australian store and I was surprised to see my progress and unlocks still intact.

I hope Level 28 is high enough for whatever cross-platform unlocks the mobile version offers. I'm not sure that I want to put more time into the game.

Yup. Netherrealm always does that. What's even cooler is that from the looks of it, each character's ending is narrated by that same character instead of the usual in-game announcer narration.
