Delighted to see so many people lower their expectations. Hope it lasts
can't wait for the direct........but dear god, I absolutely can't stand treehouse. It's so boring, the questions I remember were for the most part terrible, can't stand the presenters and it just......sucked. Pokemon Moon/Sun presentation last year gives me nightmares

No we don't. How do you know there aren't any unannounced titles?
So you think that Nintendo has anything of significance releasing this year that as of right now nobody knows about? We already know ARMS, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, & Fire Emblem Warriors are coming this year (still skeptical of Xenoblade coming before Dec. 31, 2017).
Or they could use E3 for the first half of 2018.
Smaller titles won't sell the Switch though.
Without knowing precisely what the presentation consists of, would you say its time for Nintendo fans to crack each others' heads open and feast on the goo inside?
Speak for yourself, I have more "small" games on my Switch 2 months after launch than I do on some systems I've had for years. One of the major reasons I bought one at launch was for SnipperClips. Yes, I also wanted that sweet sweet Zelda, but I honestly could have just played it on my Wii U. SnipperClips helped push me to get one at launch, and little games like Snake Pass, Blaster Master 0, etc only helped solidify my desire. I know I'm in the minority but there are definitely people who are more attracted to smaller games than huge AAA releases and would buy a Switch for them. There are people on this board that own PS4s or Xbones and they specifically want a Switch to be their main indie games machine.
Ah well there goes my hype for Nintendo's E3 if it's just 2017 games.
This company always fucks something up even when things are going great. You'd think I'd learn after all the disappointments of being a fan for 30 years lol.

The only reason you have more small games on your Switch is because you want to play your Switch (rightfully so) and the console is starved for games.

I was gonna add that but I thought that went without saying. It's almost as if it only came out 2 months ago
Again, it's not just 2017.
Every single time they've used the word focus on, it has never meant exclusivity.

Nintendo never fucking learns. Get ready for Retros fucking Donkey Kong!
then dont watch it? ... not really that hard S:
Then dont watch and just wait for other videos. You can just watch the "Direct" and go back to sleep.
Hopefully!
Pokken Complete, Bayonetta 1&2 HD + Wonderful 101, DK Tropical Freeze + Returns HD, Windwaker + Twilight Princess HD, Fatal Frame V (Finally retail Edition) and Mario 3D World would make fantastic stop-gap titles in between big releases.
Dude, Nintendo is just trying to tame the hype because it won't be as big as people are expecting. The word focus on 2017 games is essentially telling us to cool it...of course there will be a surprise or two, but no major bombs. If there was, they would not use that lingo because they would be more confident in their e3 marketing announcement.
*looks at Wii U, than looks at Switch*
I'm pretty sure you are wrong
I just hope the focus this time is on the Switch first and foremost.
Last Direct focusing so much on the 3DS was baffling.
Edit: I fully expect SSB4 Deluxe to be announced.

I agree completely with them needing to focus on the Switch. Let the 3DS slowly die. I was playing Pokemon Moon and that game ran like shit on the 3DS. Nintendo has to let that shit go.I just hope the focus this time is on the Switch first and foremost.

Good news, the Spotlight video presentation seems to be only about Switch games.
They have always used this terminology, even when we had big bombs as you call it.
The presentation will include the launch date and pricing for Nintendo Switch, as well as a look at the lineup of games currently in development.

That's hella funny. And than they put Suda 51 on the stage to talk about a game which wasn't even at the concept stage
They've been doing nothing, just to annoy you.If this thing is just MARIO odyssey and stuff we've already seen...IF...then what the hell has Nintendo been doing with these fucking droughts these last few years?
They had a pre-E3 press event focused on 3DS games already, for what it's worth.
Huh? Aren't you guys saying the "focus" doesn't mean "exclusively"? Guess 3DS is also possible then.

Okay you made me laugh. Please tell me this isn't parody so I can laugh more.
Leave making shit up to me
"this presentation will offer more details about Super Mario Odyssey and other Nintendo Switch games, with a focus on games launching in 2017."
Note it does not say "with a focus on Switch games". There's no reason to expect 3DS games in the Spotlight video, though it's possible. Then regarding the Treehouse stream they explicitly mention 3DS games.
We might see a few 3DS games but I have a feeling there won't be much from Nintendo itself, they are preparing to support the Switch for the time being.
Right, which makes it even more clear that the Spotlight will be solely on Switch games. Which is what the poster seemed to be asking for.
45 to 50 minutes of Switch games in 2017 and 2018 sounds fantastic to me.

I'm not claiming to know anything. It just makes sense to me that given the amount of titles still within 2017 to cover there probably won't be many 2018 announcements. That's all.
Why are people expecting news on 2018 games?
Nintendo never fucking learns. Get ready for Retros fucking Donkey Kong!
Why are people expecting news on 2018 games?
They can even show 3DS games for 2018 if they want following this logic, so even if they'll focus on Switch games I say I'd expect some annoucements for 3DS.
Why are people expecting news on 2018 games?
I won't lol, I was just saying how much I hate the treehouse.........that was all. Took one viewing to turn me into just watch the gameplay on youtube ordeals.
