Taking a day or so break from Persona and will use the time to continue where I am in the show. I think I'm at the Arale episode.

I was sad that Gohan being stronger
wasn't the reason Vegeta decided to go into the ROSAT.
Would have made sense for Vegeta's character.

One episode away from the best episode of Super.

Goku was lucky that truck kicked the shit out of him before Tein could.
In the manga that fight was not really even at all, Goku dominated the fight until Chaotzu used his TK to allow Tenshinhan to land a few devasting attacks. Sure, Tenshinhan later asked him to stop, but the damage was already done.

You mean a Tien who was wide-eyed and unconscious?

Lol HeroR.

Look at their faces. Tien's all like "this guy's power is incredible, I never knew a power like this existed" and Roshi's "I wonder if I should get a burger".

Tein made a scary face and Roshi is walking away while desperately pretending not to be pissing his pants. Seems clear as day...

If I'm misremembering, he only thought about it to himself. Maybe you're thinking of the Krillin vs Piccolo fight in the 23rd?

Remembering that fight, Tenshinhan also has that "Rebound your kamehameha" technique that requires Naruto-like seals. He's got a few forgotten techniques that could help in the Tournament of Power.

He was telling Chaotzu after the fight that Yamaha was much better than he thought. He then puffed his ego again by saying Yamcha was clearly the strongest out of the Turtle School.

18's voice in Kai: The Final Chapters :(

Still don't know how I feel about the whole Battle Royale route they went with in the Buu saga. Would have been great if Goten and Trunks still fought even after being unmasked.

I agree, the anime is vastly superior to the manga here.

I love how Goku respected Gohan's wishes. At the start he was smiling, having a good time and above all else trying lure out even more of Gohan's inner-power.

However, by the end, gone are the smiles and in wake is a serious Goku. Which outside of actual fights we don't get to see too much.

Glad that Gohan was able to trade blows and even send Goku flying until Goku hax'd with Kaioken :P

I still don't get why no one ever tried learning the Kaio-ken, I mean, sure it has disadvantages, but those are shared with say, the Kikohu and the Mafuba.

Post SSJ, I preferred the way kaio-ken was done against Pikkon.

That said, Instant Transmission is the move I'd want to learn from Goku.

Unrelated, but the fluidity in that particular movement and the way Pikkon's body reacts makes it look like such a powerful blow :s Super has some trouble properly emulating that feeling during it's fights, though it has gotten a whole lot better over time.

I mean, ssj2 Vegeta also threw Beerus flying.

Not sure that's a proof of anything.

Goku could feel Gohan's ki when he said he was at full power and didnt think his raw power was up there.

Just read Vol. 2 of the Yamcha manga. Damn am I hooked! I want more and the fucking cliffhanger at the end!

I'm happy and concerned thats taking off. But it seems like DBZ might attain that Marvel/DC infinite spinoff continuation model properties like batman and the like have.
For better or worse.

If Gohan was using full power then Goku wouldn't have told Gohan to use more power when they were locked in a beam battle. Afterward Gohan started kicking his ass and overpowered him in a straight test of mutual strength no different than Vegeta overpowering Black in a same test of strength.

I don't really care about this argument, but put me on the funi Goku is objectively better side of the fence. Tho, not to say she's bad.

The reply was more aimed at him shitting on her work.

I wasn't insinuating that i think her portrayal of Goku is the goat. Due to youth sentiment ill always lean towards the English voices i guess, especially Vegeta. But Masako's performance is great too and I've really grown to like it a lot in super, not to forget how she voiced Black which was epic imo. I'm not expecting Sean to deliver the same kind of quality performance based on the Xenoverse 2 stuff we heard of Black and Rosé.

Update, Ep56: Oh wow, I did not expect the Zamasu twist, that was well made, and I love how the characters actually were written on the same "It must be him right" level as the viewer.

Has anyone else noticed how currently Gohan's Mystic form has a lot of Ki leakage? And how early in Super Whis explained that keeping Ki under control is a vital part of improving ones form? Are we getting early hints at how Gohan will improve?

Also since Mystic is now a transformation, who expects God Ki + Mystic to be combined and somehow THAT being Goku's new form since he took on what Gohan has said?

PS: Good to see Vegeta have that smug "Finally" look about him, he's only been complaining about Gohan since the Buu saga and trying to get him involved.

Goku's not going to have a mystic form.

I'd be shocked if they gave him it, since they seem to be turning it into a Gohan thing, especially after the latest episode.

Beerus was massively holding back, Goku was honoring Gohan's wishes to not hold back and was pretty serious.

Why are they angry?

Some people being very standoff-ish over the original Funi dub and Faulconer music being the best version of DBZ. Even going as far to say that Nozawa sucks, etc. Nothing new, but it just seemed like more aggression than usual.

It is pretty funny though, out of like 3-4 threads, they all devolved into sub vs dub or og music vs faulconer.

Goku is a freak, not even king kai can use kaio-ken; goku is the only user of kaio-ken ever. I'm sure king kai/goku have tried teaching it to others but they just couldn't do it.

Gohan fans would be taking the L again lol

So does Goku having the blue shirt under his orange gi in the last episode (I don't remember when it started again) mean it's back to being his outfit instead of that stupid ass no undershirt, overly blue wristbands/boots gi he's had since RoF?
