His wish will be fighting the Great Priest lol. That's how much of a madman he is.

goku was def an asshole
yeah, Goku is nice to everyone by default, but he still was summoned to Zeno's chambers and Goku just plain old lied to Zeno's face about having a better friend to play with Zeno. just by random luck a suitable friend appeared, who turned out to be ... another Zeno, but that doesn't remove the fact that Goku endangered everyone just because he lied to Zeno (not sure what's going on with Goku's new lying tendencies)
I get it, Dragon Ball is a giant tale of Goku proving that niceness wins out in the end and can redeem people and everyone is friend-able, but you still have to admit that Goku is super reckless at times just cause he is being selfish. sometimes he lucks out and the universe is saved, and some other times he just didn't outright kill Black as SSB the first time they meet and this led to FTrunks universe being completely obliterated, just cause Goku wanted to test out Black's strength or whatever
I will put it like this. If no universes get destroyed at the end of this then the statement of too many universes was dishonest bullshit. If you don't want to say it was a lie and they just changed their mind then that furthers my point of Zeno making dangerous childlike decisions on a whim and Goku bringing up the tournament against Whis and Beerus warning played a part in endangering the multiverse. You already saw the changing its mind on a whim for deciding to spare the weakest universe if their leader could beat Goku in a match. Lets just see what happens at the end of all this.
You're the one saying his intentions don't matter. His intentions were to cure his boredom by going to a god that he has been warned is dangerous and asking for a tournament. It is selfish because he's doing it for self-centered reasons. It is assholish because he's knowingly risking putting other people in danger. Yes, he thinks he can avoid that, but if someone opens a bull pen because they want to ride it and think they've got a report with the bull and then it goes and gores 8 people, you don't then go and say "well he didn't mean for the bull to gore those people and it would have gored the nine people who were thinking of climbing into the pen at some unspecified point in the future otherwise."
Not really because the answer to "Why didn't you tell us something that important?" is just "well I was going to but Gohan told me not to".It was addressed
...dumplings? lol@Toshio916 replies....
ヤムチャと餃子の出番ですね👍 二人が活躍して地球を守る話とか書いてみたいです。

Yamcha and dumplings are on their way to go 👍 I'd like to write stories to protect the planet by their success.
Chiaotzu...dumplings? lol
"Yamcha and dumplings are on their way to go 👍" does sound like it could be the title of a DBZ OVA.
Checked Chiatzou also means dumplingI wondered if the dumplings meant Goten and Trunks?
Chiaotzu
Checked Chiatzou also means dumpling
Lol yet another food reference.Checked Chiatzou also means dumpling
If we get a Budokai-styled game set in this arc, it's gonna be lit
Ehh a 1v1 style game doesn't seem to be the best representation for a literal 80 person free for all about to happen.
Good point! I was just thinking of how much I liked Budokai 3 and how a new game done in that style with so many different characters to choose from may be a breath of fresh air following the Tenkaichi series and XV games but don't the XV games allow for fights involving a plethora of characters at once? That style would be truer to this arc than a 1v1 styled game
And it's all a bunch of nothing lol.Am I the only one who is sick of every episode ending with the stage for the tournament being formed?
The Grand Priest for being the second most powerful person in existence is awefully slow at constructing an arena for the fightersAnd it's all a bunch of nothing lol.
Dude I think that might be nerve damage 👀I have a tingling feeling on my back. Why the hell am I not becoming ssj?

Also before people nitpick my post i doubt it's anything but bookends for episodes
I've got a funny feeling it's going to be enormous, like way bigger than any arena we've seen. They can't have a simple arena with 80 people on it, all in sight. I dont take the opening graphics as anything to go by either..maybe you wont be able to see the edges until you're close to them.
His intention was also not to put the universes in danger, but since no one gave a shit about Goku's intentions back then, I certainly don't want to hear it now. Fact is, Goku's selfish intention saved an universe. Just like his selfless in keeping Piccolo alive paid off.
Am I the only one who is sick of every episode ending with the stage for the tournament being formed?
His intentions were to ignore the potential risks to satisfy his own desires. The way he just completely disregarded Beerus and Whis was super assholish. I had this same argument back back then and I've seen other people with it too (on reddit anyway).
As for the last sentence, I think you missed my point about how what ended up being the result of the action is irrelevant. Doesn't change the fact that it was an assholish move.

Nah, I like it. It builds up anticipation for the tournament.Am I the only one who is sick of every episode ending with the stage for the tournament being formed?
But then you're just going by the dialogue from the perspective of certain characters, and not from the perspective of the people having actual interaction. I mean everyone was freaking out the first time they met even though zen'o literally saying "it's fine", heck whis was even smiling when they shook hands.
It's easy to just go with the people freaking out, because it's so front and center, but goku not seeing a 'bad guy' is the entire reason why he acts the way he does and is ultimately the most important thing because it is what his common thread throughout DB has been about.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. The characters that Goku disregarded knew much more of Zeno's true nature. Even after that meeting with him, Whis and Beerus still advised against Goku's actions, and since Goku was so caught up on getting his hit of strong guys, he said, and I quote "fuck yall risks, I'm gettin mine lmao"

It was a selfish move, but being selfish doesn't make a person an asshole if they intended no harm. And no matter the intentions, it turned out for the best.
They knew the most about Zen'o but didn't know he was going waste eight universes for their crappy rankings. So they obviously don't know Zen'o that well if they didn't see that coming.

They advised goku based on a zen'o that has never interacted the way he has with goku.
Goku doesn't see the danger because to him zen'o is his friend
Whis and Beerus knew that even despite their first interaction that it was still risky for Goku to go to Zeno, and they were right.
Right about what exactly?
I hope you're not creating the narrative that the angels are all conspiring together and lying about the universes being destroyed eventually anyway.
I just saw the episode and I have to say, the way Caulifla learns Super Saiyan is probably the dumbest thing introduced in Super so far. I can look past most of the dumb stuff so far, but that went too dumb.
Right that he was dangerous and unpredictable, and that it was risky for Goku to go to him. I don't know where you got the rest from.
Dangerous and unpredictable how? What terrible thing happened when goku went to see him anyway?

He got a tournament that moved the destruction of at least 8 universes from "some time in the future if Zeno remembers, maybe" to "41 hours from now."
