NHL Stanley Cup 2017 Finals [OT]- To Catch a Predator

John Scott scored 3 goals in 38 games with the Sharks.

Riley Sheahan scored 0 in 81. Then two in the last game of the season.

I mean the NHL tried as hard as they could to prevent him from going. I'd say they put more effort into it than looking at other cities to move the Yotes to.

And he should have been kept out...I reiterate this guy was a less than zero, we're not even talking about some hard working defensive orientated grinder/third-fourth liner... We're talking about a guy who did absolutely nothing of note in his career other than jump Phil Kessel in a pre season game like some modern caveman

John Scott played 286 games in 10 seasons and had a whopping 5 goals and 6 assists

Riley Sheahan has played 284 games in 5 seasons and has 38 goals and 60 assists...

John Scott's career high in games played was 56.. it took him 7 seasons to get there. He was a -12 and had 125 penalty minutes, good for an average of 2 minutes and 14 seconds per game played or about 1/5 of the total of the highest minutes he played in a single game... and 45 second more than the lowest minutes he played. It's also 1/3rd of his average ice time that year which was 6 minutes 45 seconds.

Dude as less than a scrub... TLC wouldn't have wanted him and neither should've the NHL All Star Game

Ya but Riley was never an all star.

John Scott was a bonafide all star MVP!!!

All Stars probably saw what he did to Phil Kessel for no reason, and decided to let him score because they had to stay healthy for the fight to the playoffs... something John Scott experienced one year, and one year only for all of 4 games.

This is Ron Hainsey's first playoffs, he's now played in 19 games, he has 1 goal and 4 assists playing D, and all of 4 penalty minutes.

John Scott has zero points in his 4 playoff games, but somehow managed 22 fucking penalty minutes in 4 fucking games... 20 of those came in one game...

The hockey media complex in Toronto would like to thank Phil Kessel for their next 24 hours of content.

The hockey media complex in Montreal would like to thank Phil Kessel for their next 72 hours of content.

Kesselelelelelele and Subban are in better places now :))))))))

Sounds like he left his mark on that one playoff game :D

Edit: Jesus at the crap teams Ron had to put up with.

LOL apparently John Scott also claimed the Sabres at training camp told him something like "This year we're playing for McDavid or Eichel, we don't want to to win", that they openly told him they were going to tank to draft McDavid/Eichel in 2015.

Only problem is John Scott was far away in San Jose when the Sabres started their training camp for the 2014-2015 season.

Besides if they had planned from the get go of tanking like that they'd have just re-signed Scott and just played him on the first or second line... guaranteed path to losing.

Looking forward to hopefully seeing the Pens get another cup this year! Was hoping if they made it through to the final it would be against the Preds. Should be a great series!

Subban always seemed like a guy who tried to get under others players skins either with semi dirty or sneaky hits or after whistle jarring. Haven't watched him much after he left Montreal though
