Thanks a bunch for this!

E3 is like my Christmas. You get the awesome gifts and then you get the pair of socks that don't fit you.

Don't you guys think we would have hard something a bit more substantial if they were going to announce any new hardware?

I mean we knew of Switch, Pro, and Scorpio long before their initial revealings.

Perhaps, but the Vita should've been all the lesson they need. They excel with their consoles. They should keep their focus on the PS4 and the consoles that come afterwards instead of splitting them.

Vita is awesome though. Doesn't have as many high profile games as it should but it still has shit loads of games. One and a half thousand or so, about the same as ps4. Of course that doesn't include PS1 classics or psp games. It sold like shite of course but I still think it's a great little machine.

Probably yeah, I doubt we see anything more than the Scorpio when it comes to new hardware at E3.

Thanks.

Btw, how isn't there an extension or built in chrome feature to highlight a date and time and mark it on your Google calendar in your local time ? Sounds like it would be very easy to implement and very convenient.

Anyway;
This is the usual time for Sony ?
Did I really wake up at 3 AM the past few years ? Think I'll pass this time. I'm getting too old for this.

Means it's going to be one long toilet break Tuesday morning...

The Vita is indeed a wonderful piece of hardware.

But if Sony still had an interest in the dedicated handheld market, they would have continued to support the system with first party software, to ensure consumers remained confident in the company's commitment to future portables.

Agreed. Unfortunately.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good piece of hardware with some great games. The issue is that the inevitable power gap between handhelds and consoles will limit which games it can get as well as limit which developers will even consider working on it. You can pretty much say goodbye with AAA western support and that basically holds true for Japanese games as well. So, that effectively leaves them with niche Japanese studios, indie devs and whichever internal or outsourced studios they can get to work on it. That's obviously going to lead to a very limited market.

Uh, no. The world can be expanded on as can the ending, perhaps with a different protagonist.

Can be. Doesn't need to be.

Horizon told such a satisfying story that by the end of it, while I'd like some loose ends tied up in DLC, I personally don't need a sequel, nor do I think it left an big enough open ending to necessitate one. I'd like to see more of GG creativity beyond Horizon. They were wasted on Killzone for years so I'd like for them to be able to keep it moving creatively.

I've lost some of my E3 hype this year because of how spread out the press conferences are. The Monday before E3 when most of the press conferences happened was maybe my favorite day of the year. Now with only 2 press conferences that day (I'm not counting PC because it's not a press conference, it's a talk show), I'm having trouble getting hyped.

Ditto.

I finished Horizon literally 5 minutes ago and I cannot wait to see what's next from Guerilla. I hope they drop some DLC and move on to a new IP because they told a great story that doesn't really need a sequel and I'd like to see what else they could do.

Both of ya'll need to bounce with these ideas.

As much as I like the idea of a PS4 Switch, I don't see Sony showing it off this E3 if they don't plan to release it until very late 2018. I'm pretty sure I remember someone from Sony saying they want to mimic Apple's style of a short reveal-release cycle, and they did that with both the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

I feel like last year's E3 conference was the best style to go along with the theater experience they've been doing the last few years, and with the feedback last year being incredibly positive, they're probably going to double down on showing more and telling less. So chances are if this PS4 Switch exists we probably won't hear about it or see it until an eventual dedicated PlayStation meeting (not PSX).

I love it personally. This is the first E3 where the conference schedule is friendly to someone with a regular work schedule.

You have Crash, but not Knack?

What kind of treachery is this?
He is in the video. This is just an image for YouTube thumbnails.

Poor knack crash gets to be there and he ain't even first party Xp
I want people that actually click on the image to watch my video :P

You should add Kara.

Though about it. Might do it if I can figure out where to put her. It's pretty busy as-is.

Great trailer! :)
Thank you!!

If you're referring to the following:

That's from a VR game by London Studio that was presumably cancelled. Nothing to do with Sucker Punch.

I thought this game was from the supposed western game from Sony Bend until they shwoed Days Gone. I didn't know there were rumors for it being the Sucker Punch game.

Great trailer Indeed.

It's a good thing that there aren't many GAFfers living in Utah. Or that many gamers compared to the other states.

I have a better chance to get a ticket!
Yes. We'll be getting more info in the coming weeks.
....tickets go up tomorrow. Better get on that people!

Someone page N4G

I can share some Specifications that my spiritual guide told me:

It will use the new Power VR's Furian Architecture, 8 GB RAM, 32 Internal Storage, Micro SD, 299 price target, TV-Out optional (external adaptor).
The main focus will be VR anywhere instead local multiplayer like Switch. All games will have a VR mode, what doesn't mean that all the games will be made for VR Only.
All games will have its virtual Room, something similar to Playstation Home, but these rooms will not be part of any integrated kind of virtual world.
Will have 1440p Screen, but the games will run between 1080p and 720p, the 1440p will be used on VR applications like watching videos or less demanding games.
the VR bracelets still are in consideration and aren't mandatory to play, they only help the sensors to find and do not miss understand your hand. like when you put your hands together.
The glasses will be made of a very cheap material and will be made several colors and models, almost like Google DayDream, a little better.
The Party System will be expanded to VR Rooms, with simple avatars which will move its heads and hands very closely to its real users.

The system will be not treated as a secondary system, but as if it was a PS5.

And it will be released in October next Year.

Will have a technology similar to Leap Motion Orion

lol

I'm gonna be at work but idgaf. I'm getting my ticket.

With this being my first time, how simple is it to register for a ticket on the PS site? Once it goes live, something to click to register for the ticket will go live on the PS site?
It's a nightmare the website crashes you're refreshing a few times ugh 😑. There also seems to be a different obstacle this time the gofobo account thing

Horizon sequel is reality and you need to accept it.

Behave, fam. I ain't complaining if we get a sequel but would you sincerely pick a sequel to an excellently told story that doesn't need it over a new IP? I wouldn't, but fair play if you two want more, Horizon certainly gave us a gorgeous and intriguing world so I wouldn't mind going back to it, just wouldn't be my first pick.

It took 6 years to build Horizon and I don't want to wait another 6 for Guerilla's next game. Besides, they clearly intend for this to be a franchise.

From a gameplay perspective, I don't feel Horizon has achieved its full potential yet to be worth shelving. In fact, the opportunities to diversify and expand the toolset is pretty vast.

Plus Hermen has already outright called Horizon their "newest franchise". It's here to stay for one more game at least.

Not to mention Horizon isn't even close to a one-and-done story, ending the franchise now would leave it completely unresolved.

I was referring to this recent comment

"It will be an interesting year for us," Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told MCVUK. "We're not really showing products. We have a corporate presence at E3, and we're excited to be there. We'll be meeting with investors and meeting with the press naturally, and meeting with retail partners. I think it's an important show and it's important for the industry, and it's very important for us as the number three company in the space to be there."
