While I'm not a fan of Wonder Woman, I absolutely love that it has the potential to be much higher critically than the recent DC films. Hope it does great on the box office.

Also, I've always been curious, is there any reason as to why every single new film in this universe look so drab?

Like, everything I've seen from the films, especially the promo material for Justice League look so washed out.

Are they just trying to stand out and be the opposite of the Marvel films?

Like, I'm trying to imagine how that conservation would even go.

Diana: "Haha! That movie was SO fucking garbage!"
Bruce: "You were in it, Diana!"

Very important to note. Wonder Woman is the only DCCU movie that isn't obsessed with hiring oscar winning ''talent" and was more about fitting the cast and writers/director TO the project instead of letting them ruin a character they know nothing of. (Chris Terrio,,,....Jared Leto....)

But that doesn't describe Man of Steel at all.

Embarrassing. Someone make a crow thread

While I agree that Gals reception here in GAF is a fucking joke I see no reason for a crow thread, its not the sole archivement of the main actress if a movie turns out good. Producer, Director, Writer, all have their fair share. Gal of course factors also in.

This seems unfair. It's not like those other people aren't picked after a long deliberation and audition process. And Terrio came with Affleck

I never said it was though. Look in the thread, they shit on every part of the movie. Plus, the reviews are saying Gal is great, so...how does that not need crow?

So I did some (brief) looking, and I think that the previous high for a female led comic book film (that had a wide theatrical run) was Tank Girl at 38% on RT.

Runners up were Sheena and Barb Wire.

sure it isnt. But she is getting praised by critics when a lot people were hell bent that she was going to be the weakest link.

Wonder Woman to be pushed in JL advertising.

WB presents: Wonder Woman and her super friends.

unfortunately what matters is how much money it makes, not the RT score, in the end.

we'll need some sort of miracle for WW to outgross suicide squad or bvs. Man of Steel should be doable, though!

Made the mistake of watching the IGN review and it spoiled some scenes that seem pretty important (even though they're early on). So that was dumb of me.

I'm glad WW broke the curse. Can't wait to see it this weekend.

If this opens big, I can see WB fast tracking another female led comic flick, whether it's WW2 or someone else.

Actually, with the amount of focus on Supergirl in Injustice 2, I wonder if we end up seeing her on the big screen...

I was skeptical too, but now there's no way he leaves.

Batman is the only thing the poor guy has left

They already fast tracked Gotham City Sirens and Batgirl. They're way ahead of you.

Oh dear, the shenanigans on 4chan are at full force.
Because Ghostbusters was a terrible movie that a lot of critics didn't give a bad/rotten score to because it was diverse and female led.

Wonder Woman seems to be getting the same deal. Mediocre movie but is given a higher score or fresh because it's the first female-led superhero movie in a long, long time.

MCU gets it too, except it's more like they get called mediocre by the reviewer and then get a fresh score anyway, just because MCU.

So, when does the thread title get changed? "Amazon Delivers" was one I saw somewhere else and I say we steal that.

Wonder Woman to be pushed in JL advertising.

I mean, they were practically doing it with BvS. There were a couple of covers and whatnot where she'd be placed either in front of Bruce and Clark or in the middle.

Someone on my twitter liked that Stuckmann review, so I decided to give it a gander and see why he's so hated around these parts. Literally 2 minutes in and he's already said he's glad Wonder Woman isn't "flawless like Rey" and the movie isn't like Ghostbusters where "for the entire time I'm just reminded how horrible I am because I'm a man."

This fucking guy has nearly a million subs? I chose the wrong education.

I just realized that these reviews are worthless cus people told me critics didn't mean shit when BvS and SS came out.

To be perfectly frank, I don't see why people started making a big deal about critics. I don't think anyone cared what critics thought back then, such as in a time when Jim Carrey was very huge, despite the reception of his films.
