I'm down. Let From and Miyazaki focus on their New IP and let Sony JP do all the heavy lifting for the BB sequel.
Yup, the more the merrier.

I agree with the notion that Japan Studios would struggle to do Bloodborne justice, but I don't really see the harm in letting them try. If everything blows up, the original still exists. If they knock it out of the park, it'll be a nice surprise. A bad sequel can't affect a great game.
I like the way u think. That will win e3 for me instantlyRemake of this.![]()

Not just that, but also the creature design, music and overall atmosphere as well as lore. All other Souls clones have pretty much failed at these aspects. The main issue with any studio other than From making Bloodborne 2 or a Souls-style game in general is the level design. I think another studio could more or less lift the combat from BB and add some news weapons and armor and that area would be good to go. But the level design is a completely different issue.

What makes you sure that From is going to open? From.
I honestly hope Bloodborne 2 is in development right now at From/SCEJA.I'm thinking BloodBorne II with Sony Japan as lead developers and FromSoft supervision.

I have a strong feeling Junji Ito might be helping out with DS. If not, Death Stranding has a lot of Junji Ito inspiration.
Check out the short story "Intruder" that talks about the theory of the Bermuda Triangle separating this reality from other dimensions. A concept that looks to be in DS.
Got a link to it? Sounds interesting but can't find anything.
This is the first time in years that Square Enix haven't announced their E3 line-up.
They clearly don't wanna give us the spoiler that KH III will be there!
PM'd you.
If we're not getting a 100% From one anyway, nothing is lost. And it's not like From is the only capable studio in the world anyway. It has nothing to do with purity testing and everything to do with quality.
Sorry, I don't think any of the studios you listed or Japan Studios are remotely capable of creating a master piece like Bloodborne.
It would likely be a wanna-be at best that fails to capture what made BB special.
Can't wait for the "Now in development again" announcement. People will lose their shit.

If Team Ninja could do Nioh, and Platinum Nier Automata, everything is possible imo.Okay, they can go ahead and announce a Bloodborne 2 without From. I look forward to me, most of GAF and the rest of the Internet laughing at them for attempting to pitifully capitalize on the Bloodborne name.
And From is one of the few capable of making a Souls game. Who else is going to make it? I can't think of a studio capable of making a good Souls game outside of From.
I'll be dead.I know how I'll react:

But again, it's visibly about purity testing instead of keeping an open mind, as seen in the bolded part of your text.
I've always wondered if they can really do that...the more I know about how corporate work the less I think it's possible, but I really don't know.
I could maybe see them showing "Coming soon" or some other message now only because for FFXV at Gamescom 2015 when everyone was expecting confirmation of a 2016 release they just had "And so the story begins" at the end of the trailer. Then in interviews right after, Tabata (after being asked about it so much) confirmed 2016 and they changed their next promo video to end with 2016. But I don't think they will make the same mistake here, confirming 2018 is a very obvious (even for Square Enix) crowd pleaser. Can't wait for the "Now in development again" announcement. People will lose their shit.
LOL
I was listening to the EZA podcast and they started talking about this a few seconds before I came across this gif here.
That's definitely be another issue. Although if they were willing to pay money I think they might be able to deal with it. Hire someone like Junji Ito to handle it. He'd actually work quite well for something like Bloodborne.

After it was canned we learned that he'd actually be hired to work on Silent Hills. :/
Hahaha! ....dang it you're right.Nomura hates us.

Well if you care about God of War then at least there is a decent chance it will get a trailer tomorrow assuming Sony do the same Monday before E3 trailer + release date announcement they did with Horizon last year. Maybe it won't be Monday again but I expect it in the next few days.I thought this was tomorrow. Now I'm sad.

Keiichiro Toyama as Game Director, with Miyazaki san consulting?Get Team Ninja on the combat system, Fumito Ueda on the level design, and Junji Ito as art director, then hook them up with Japan Studio. A non-FromSoftware Bloodborne 2 would have a chance then. Still, I would prefer a proper Miyazaki joint.

I'm wondering if we're setting ourselves up for disappointment by expecting SP's new IP to be revealed. Sony has:
God of War
Days Gone
Spider-Man
Uncharted: TLL
GT Sport
TLOU 2
Dreams
Detroit: Become Human
Destiny 2
COD: WWII
Battlefront 2
Far Cry 5
All to show at their conference..there's no impetus to reveal SP's game, especially if it's still 1-2 years out.
The same logic could be applied to TLoU2. It didn't need to be revealed but it was. Sony don't care this gen. They are revealing stuff and getting people hyped.I'm wondering if we're setting ourselves up for disappointment by expecting SP's new IP to be revealed. Sony has:

I actually don't think Far Cry 5 will appear on stage at Sony conference, just like WD2 didn't last year. Especially considering it doesn't release this year.Sadly Far Cry 5, COD, Battlefront and Destiny 2 will drain up quite a lot of time.
When it comes to any unannounced games I think Sucker Punch is by far the most likely to appear at E3.
In fact I think Sony will announce 2 big games, Sucker Punch new IP and DMC5. Add to that some smaller VR titles.
