Kid Piccolo killed some people in the anime, but not in the manga.
Same thing with Tenshinhan. It's only mentioned that he was training to be an assassin in the manga, not that he actually was one already. The anime didn't show him to be an assassin either, but he was going around terrorizing villages to play hero and make money out of it.

is he actually the weakest U6 saiyan? Kale has LSS and Caulifla appeared to have SS2, wouldn't be surprised if that Renso guy is stronger than Cabba too. Makes you wonder why he was selected for Champa's team at all.
He was likely their best or one of the best of Saiya force Cauli and Kale are just better

So general consensus is this was a bad episode.

Not every episode needs to be fast paced action epicness, need some downtime as well to build up the next epic momemts
they're heading down a fairly contrived plot dark path.
No good person would hide a secret technique (Destructo Disc) that could have save everyone's life.
That's not why it was bad. Between the bland animation,
reused lines from the fucking Broly movies, Freeza being Freeza and the U7 team barely fighting back against Goku...

I think the only point I agree with is
Kale being an almost exact copy of Broly.
For me, it's on par to what came before.

Cabba is too soft and timid. He needs to learn some ferocity from Vegeta as well as a sparring partner that will push him hard. Look how strong future Trunks got under Vegeta during the cell saga.
I wonder if Jiren's meditation, and his inevitable confrontation with Goku, will relate back to Gohan's "different" method of getting stronger, and further show the contrast between Goku/Vegeta's training and a different but effective form of improvement. If that's the case I think a conflict between Jiren and Gohan, or even a conversation where they relate to each other would be really interesting.

They don't want to directly state something to be non-canon or canon out of fear of merchandise. Keeping Broly in his own little bubble is better than saying, "Now Broly is a Universe 6 Saiyan that knows nothing of Kakarot!" They would have to retool him in all the media like the video games and whatnot.
I'm willing to bet, however, that bringing back Broli WAS a Toei suggestion, but Toriyama responded by drawing concept art for Kale as a troll.

In the manga, Vegeta cutoff F.Trunks from being humble, praising Vegeta for overcoming Super Saiyan form in two months. It agitated him that his son is singing praise for him.
Then Vegeta and F. Trunks flew off to fight Imperfect Cell.

Zalama is the creator the Super Dragonballs, not the dragon. He still was described as a dragon god himself though. So it can't be him.
Super Shenlong's real name would be Nronshe (Backwards Shenlong due to the "Language of the Gods" being backwards Japanese and that name was mentioned in his summoning chant).

Next episode (probably at the end) they finally leave for the ToP. About time.
Also watching Cauli get SSJ2 like that was pretty sweet. I have a feeling Cabba may skip it entirely for Blue down the road.
There has been a TON of character development for U6 and U11 though. I kinda feel like something else may happen during the ToP which will unite them all.
