MS' biggest and most important advantage has always been having lots and lots of fucking money so none of this is earth-shattering news, albeit still interesting. It'll be cool to see how this plays out. This isn't a new console gen so it's not like MS is launching a new, more powerful machine than Sony. It's mid-gen and people already have libraries and friend networks. All of your friends won't just stop having PS4s because Scorpio is really powerful and reasonably priced. Fun times ahead.

If this stuff is indeed taking jabs at Sony, I find that slightly hypocritical of them. I mean, unless Phil Spencer has no say in these marketing stunts, but he's always been a big believer in not having a console war (mainly because they were losing it at the time) and gave examples how each console brings something new to the table.

399 is a very good price for the hardware you're getting, especially in comparison with the PS4 Pro. Props to Microsoft for that.
They'll drop the price and will keep selling as usual is my guess.

Aside from Gears/Halo/Forza, Microsoft's 1st party stable is incredibly thin at the moment. People looking for a new system who aren't already invested in Xbox properties are finding much more variety and choice on PS4, Switch, and even PC. Scorpio will undoubtedly be the de facto choice for an affordable system to play multiplatform 3rd party games on a console but I'm not sure that's enough when competitors are offering a more compelling slate of software
Jup just ignore. Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown. All possibly releasing this year.

Although I'm actually pointing out a problem MS had with those other franchises and bleeding them dry. They need fresh new ideas. No need to get so defensive I just wish MS had more diverse range of first party games ready for Scorpio.
