I'd rather take on Sony than Valve.

I think Steam has a surprisingly loyal userbase who will see any attempt to subvert it easily and clearly.

Other friends have flown before. EGS.

But how has that worked for Microsoft so far?

Is Parris crazy!? WTH man! I like this guy........but he's being losing it over the last 12 months. Can he even hear himself speaking?
I guess it revolves around how much of an Xbox are these OEM machines that are coming

If Asus can build one will consumers be able to buy this AMD/Xbox chip (if its eve such a thing)

From a British perfective Xbox is far too American, all that NFL and gameshows bullshit during the Xbox One reveal was really off putting.
It was off putting to many Americans also. They pitched an overpriced box as the best way to watch overpriced cable channels while playing overpriced annual updates to SPORTZ games.

This is so funny.

In the late 2000s Microsoft tried forcing GFWL, which failed spectacularly and ruined a whole ton of great games, some of which are STILL broken.

Then they ignored PC gaming until 2017 when they started porting Xbox games to PC, buuuuuut they still sorta ignored it by neglecting their Xbox app for YEARS. Meanwhile, Steam has been quietly making PC the best place to play games and now Microsoft wants to come in like the Kool Aid Man... lol
Remember the "windows media center pc" nonsense they did in addition to GFWL?!
