No Death Stranding at E3, confirms Kojima

I don't buy it after last year lol. But if so I'd be fine with him nose to the grindstone working on the game all of this year and bringing it back at PSX at the end of the year or next year at E3 with a release window.

I'd be happy to see it at E3 though, Kojima always has awesome trailers.

Bridges....

Jeff Bridges confirmed.

Was just thinking this same thing LOL

I mean, he literally said the same thing last year. I believe him, but can't blame people for thinking he's trolling.

He did? I stand corrected: Kojima fans arent delusional but rather paranoid.

I mean he's gonna be there talking about his passion for cinema bla bla. No worries tho.. in a sense Sony is highlighting games that are coming out in the near future. Come next e3 he's gonna be able to show the game more.

BRIDGES....!!!!!!

Last e3 everyone thought the game was revealed too soon, that there has barely been any development on it, etc. For it to not show at this e3 makes complete sense. This will release alongside Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020 on PS5.

Sony's tendency to announce games the moment they go into development is becoming slightly annoying. If the game's not in a playable state why even bother?

It's disappointing. But I'd rather Kojima and his team take their time with the game, and show us some gameplay when they feel is ready. I'm kind of tired of games we have to wait 3-5 years for to play, but I can be patient as long as the final product is worth it.

EDIT: Fan made E3 teaser trailer :(.

Yong: Hey, ya know, this is okay! Yeah! No news means things are going well. It's smooth sailing from here baby!
Also Yong: *scrambles for tiniest shred of evidence to hype himself up for Death Stranding at E3 no matter how credible*

Did he? Didn't find anything on that. Do you remember where this was said?

Edit: All I was able to find are articles few days before the Sony showing still speculating if he will be there, no mentions of him denying being there.

Most of last years e3 for sony is still not released...you will probably have more hands on time with stuff shown off last year but dont expect you will be playing anything new shown off for at least 18 months.

What's with the web?
What if the Spiderman game is actually Death Stranding? That's why it doesn't have a subtitle yet. It'll be revealed as Spiderman: Death Stranding. :O

I think he's probably being serious this time. I don't think we'll see anything from him.

Any ideas on this?
The new pic and the pin that was on Del Torro's jacket from TGA teaser.

Certainly seems to connect del Toro's character with a government of some kind. Firstly, of course, because of the "United Cities of America" phrase. But secondly, because the center of the spiderweb on the pin is right around Washington, D.C. You'll notice a clear pentagon shape in the center of the new logo. This could suggest that the "Bridges" group is based within the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

More generally speaking, the spiderweb design certainly works with the whole "stranding/strands" theme (i.e. strands of spiderweb.) The ostensible focus of the game on connections in general makes complete sense with the strands theme as well as the image of a spiderweb extending across, connecting, and covering what we know as the United States. And finally, with the new logo it could be theorized that the larger star shape of the spiderweb makes a visual connection with a classic American symbol: the five-pointed star.

Kyle Bosman made a video that explains it rather well

Some may not like it, but what Sony is doing is constantly laying out a long roadmap of what you'll get if you buy a PS4. Many feel that the first half of the PS4 this year is one of the best ever for any platform, but then Sony can say "And in the future we'll have GT Sport, God of War, The Last of Us Part II, Spider-Man etc." on top of unannounced games and multiplatform titles. You can never really question Sony's commitment to the platform or the future of it because of how they've laid everything out.

Yes, I was mistaken. Sorry. Keighley said something about not seeing Kojima's next project for a while, and Kojima nodded. So, not the same thing. I was thinking of an older conference.

Announcing titles that release within 12 months is boring. I like knowing the long term plan as long as devs are transparent.

That's fine, doesn't waste his time on trailers.

Has anyone made a dontbelievehislies memento pic ala ono with kojima on it? Asking for a friend

I just hope it plays on regular ps4. Last guardian and versus XIII both ended up on ps4... I just hope something like that doesn't happen again.

Wait a god damn minute. The White House is in a city named Washington but you also have a totally different state named Washington?

What the fuck America?

Goddammit. I was looking forward to a new trailer every E3 and PSX but I guess that would be too much when they're meant to be working on the actually game now.

Haha, yes. The city was named after George Washington in the late 1700s to be the new capital. The state (where I live) was named after... George Washington and became a state in the mid 1800s.

lol why u trollin' Kojima-san.

It would be great if they save it for a 'one more thing' type megaton, then we see a gamplay-eque demo.
