Yo, that Frieza Transformation was beautiful, the highlight of the episode to me

I feel like animating Freiza must be fun, because he's such an expressive villain.

Like when Frieza's face when Goku punches him goes from confusion/pain, to anger, back to his usual smugness in rapid fashion.

I can't believe there are still people who believe that fake leak. Wednesday's Jump preview will probably end people believing it.

It's more of a denial thing since they don't like Freeza being back and are being wistfully ignorant in the hope that someone else will replace him.

I was hoping Toei would have updated the intro by now and replaced Buu. Perhaps by the episode the tournament starts.

"Goku you're a terrible liar!"

That's why he had everyone fooled for like 10 episodes huh

THANK YOU WHIS honestly I think the characters anger over Goku at the Frieza thing is shortsighted as hell when considering the stakes. Aside from the possible betrayal stuff, but in that scene they were mad at the conditions Frieza gave to helping them, so yeah.

Spoilers from the episode are good now right?

Since Sidra always appeared to me to be weak I almost wonder if Frieza is gonna destroy him next episode. Their universe hasn't really done much and we've only seen three of their fighters if I recall.

meh. maybe. we haven't seen like 90% of the fighters that are gonna be in the tournament. there's gonna be so many deaths that have zero impact coming up.

Very strong episode.

-Vegeta was great this episode, as always.
-So U4 certainly sees U7 as a major threat
-Roshi death flags /s
-17/18/Krillin conversation was funny
-17's joke is the moment of the arc
-Top tier handshake
-I'm still salty about Buu, but Frieza was pretty good this episode. The hand slip lol

And most importantly it looks like we are getting a Trunks, Goten, Marron plot line! We are truly blessed! Go and get that poacher EXP youngings.

Proper spelling with the crappy dub spelling over top.
This hurts my soul.
Wasn't it a reference to Krillin's filler ex??

Yes.

Yeah it was a good episode. More character interactions please.

My boy is back, and that was hype as fuck. Can't wait to see his rampage next week, especially since he can't kill in tournament.

I am already enjoying Freiza's return so much. This is going to be so much fun, a totally unrepentant Frieza drafted to work together with the good guys (and Goku) but clearly enjoys messing with them during that time. Really, it's probably the best they could have done with Frieza. He's such an enjoyable asshole to watch. Now we get to see him be "friendly" and it delivered already. "Oops, my hand slipped." I loved that Goku immediately hit back with the exact same line. Those two... they get each other, not that either would admit it.

Also, U9's God of Destruction is going to make a huge error by showing up in person. That's interference with another universe's team! That's a paddlin'! Followed by getting your universe erased.

I think they are foreshadowing something for the next episode, this episode was showing that everyone came to Bulma's place and the team is ready, Goku goes to pick Frieza, something easy on paper but he refuses 3 times Goku's hand and transforms to kill the assassins.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it to the team, either this or u9 is gonna get erased. Next episode is pretty hype

And we're back to the fun & awesome episodes! Art was on point, too! :D If they can deliver this level of quality, at least, during the actual tournament I'll be a happy camper!

Also, we'll be almost 20 (or more, haven't read the latest episode titles) episodes in before the ToP, which obviously will lead into something else. That's a loooong prep-time! Don't think any previous arc managed to take this long (not a bad thing in this situation IMO) before SOMETHING happened.
