Goofy Goku is fine, they just need to make him not a dumbass.

Only if they make him go through some character development to change that.
Otherwise I want to keep the Goku that will leave threats to everyone he cares about alive because he feels like it. It would be weird if he suddenly started thinking about the consequences of his actions without him realized that he tends not to.

That's fine. I feel like he was talking about his general air-headed silliness and not his selfishness.

well nvm idk what he was talking about but that's what i'm talking about nah'mean

There's a difference between how Goku was portrayed in the original series and Super's Goku. Most people just want the former, which has shown itself from time to time.

Jesus christ. That namek destruction after final flash.

ASW making so many good decisions with this game, the more footage I watch, the more tiny little things I notice that just make the whole thing come together so nicely, honestly didn't think they had it in them after extreme botuden.

DBFZ about to be ASW's best game yet >:]

This is Freeza week. His transformation on both the episode and the DBFZ reveal looked amazing.

I'm glad they're bringing him back because RoF seriously fucked him up as a character. Also, the way he died in Cell arc was lame too.

So in a way, it's for the best that he can come back and die for the fourth time but with some dignity.

Nando please. Trunks slicing him up like nothing was amazing - a top tier scene for sure.

The scene was great, but because Freeza looked like such a bum, he was left with a legacy of being a bum. RoF didn't help either

Im waiting for the inevitable scene where
Freeza kills Hit
and finally will his glory be regained

I'm waiting for Jiren to just one-punch him off the stage instead.

RoF arc ruined nothing about him. He's actually better there than in the movie.

I wonder if this would be gutsy enough to play the tournament straight up. No shenanigans no ruse.

Universe 7 wins and the rest get annihilated, no wish-backs.

Would Goku/Xeno be too unlikable for a series to continue as is?

And about Beerus and Champa. It's clear they don't exactly like each other, but could one really not have any emotion watching their brother(Yeah they're twins but was it ever said this was literal brothers or more so close they might as well be brothers?) being hakai'd into oblivion?

it was amazing...for future trunks

for freeza it was a shit way to go

well maybe in the tournament he can die protecting krillin from a huge ki blast or something

How are the ratings for DB Super in general? Im curious.
It averages around top five. Depends on the week and the action from what I've gathered. Merchandise sales have been doing phenomenal in Japan. Sometime during this year we'll see a good amount of western merchandise for sale.

Frieza's death to Trunks was fitting given his defeat on Namik and his whole character. He is a greedy, power hungry man who thinks he is the best there is and ever will be, and the only thing he fears is the idea that someone might be better than him, to the point that he will destroy a planet that works for him because of a legend. Everything he's done eventually comes back to bite him when Goku goes Super Saiyan, finally there is someone who is without a doubt better than him, and Goku shows him this fact by defeating him in a completely one sided fight where he decides he doesn't even need to kill Frieza.

Frieza barely clings on to life after Namik is destroyed and immediately sets off for revenge, and when he makes it to Earth he is greeted with Trunks who quickly goes to show him that there is another that is stronger than him.

It was the perfect death for Frieza, he could have lived on, but he risked everything for revenge and in the end didn't even get to see his target because of his own foolish pride.

Though I do agree that RoF did his character no favors.

I was feeling cold with the whole Frieza coming back once again thing, but the latest episode changed my mind. Give me more Goku-Freeza routines. It can only get better when you add Vegeta and Krillin to the equation.

I can't imagine Gohan and Piccolo are going to be thrilled with Frieza being around either.

Exactly. I love Fat Buu as much as the next person, but tbh he has no chemistry with anyone in the team, meanwhile Frieza is a goldmine of interactions just waiting to happen. Still a shame Buu had to go though since he has a very cool fighting style, as his exhibition match proved. If I had to choose someone to replace at this point I'd go with Tien. I feel like he's the only one so far who hasn't proven his worth on top of completely embarassing himself in the tag battle. Hopefully we'll see a "stopping Cell" moment from him later in the arc.

Such a shame the game only releases in 2018. Imagine it releasing in a couple of months with the series going full Hype for the tournament! :O

What Gohan did to him was completely rude. It also showed that Goku can't be trusted as a teammate.

It's almost a shame the game is so far in development because the increased size in the cast the tournament arc will provide would be perfect for a 3 vs 3 game. Surely there will be some cool fighters in this tournament too but you know, that's what sequels are for ;)

Tien used to be all about honor and pride in DBZ (refusing to ever forgive Vegeta, refusing to wear a Saiyan armor, declining training in the ROSAT, etc.). With what happened in this arc I don't know how he hasn't committed seppuku yet.

Eh, Tenshinhan just was written completely dumb in that episode, like someone who couldn't read the atmosphere at all. He kept talking about taking things lightly since it was just sparring and the tournament would happen soon, when it was obvious from the start that everyone else was taking it super seriously. Now, he was the only one who didn't know the tournament's stakes, but he didn't find their attitude suspect or anything, just kept complaining. It made him look both weak fighting-wise and lame as a character. I really hope King Ryu doesn't write anything focused on Tenshinhan again because he clearly dislikes the character.

There is always the chance of a sequel.

I mean, I'd rather have a complete DBZ game with some extras as first game, with a sequel that expands on the Super arcs and movies, than have a game that's missing half DBZ people.

Because they're NEVER gonna hype up "yo look we're adding chiaotsu and android 16 in DBFighterZ 3 woooooo". People are gonna want Kale, Jiren etc...

There is always the chance of a sequel.

The only way this game is not getting continued support is if someone other than Arcsys decides not to go further with it for whatever reason. It is a very safe bet that there will be some DLC characters, a free balance patch or two, and then a sequel/expansion since that is how all recent Arcsys fighting games have worked, and this is going to be bigger than all of them.

Though it is interesting that there isn't an arcade version to start with, that might end up being the first big update.

If we're getting tributes and returns, will Cell return after the whole destroy everything arc........or maybe after the next one.

I really want Cell back.

DEAL WITH THE SPOTS TOEI
