No. Cell doesn't need to come back.

I'm not against a Cell JR survivor.

Blue Cell Jr adult voiced by Wakamoto still, goes explore space, and comes back once in a while, not really a villain outside of wanting his vengeance against Gohan but then decides to just be his rival.

Cell can't really be retconned the way Frieza was.
Sure he can eat people and get stronger, but nobody is for that shit.

RoF at least represented a rebirth of Dragon Ball following BoG with going back to the biggest and most recognizable villain of DB. Super is also now trying to remedy the poor quality of RoF as well with the tournament arc.

Cell was Gohan's antagonist, and there isn't much to explore there anymore either, as Gohan wouldn't let him live and go raise a space Nazi empire.

I hope Grand Strategist "fight in the center of the ring" Gohan took into account that Goku and Vegeta(do I really need to say Frieza) can't be counted on for anything having to do with teamwork.

Bromance rivalry? Don't we already have enough of those in DB? :P

ahahah yessss

Cell can do the same training Frieza did, no need to eat people.

I do think Cell could have a very interesting dynamic if brought back. He wouldn't be friendly with everyone, but I could see him losing interest in destroying Earth after seeing how far everyone was able to get while he was away. His saiyan blood would make him want to chase that power above anything else.

He's my favorite villain and he has everyone's potential so there's a lot they could do with him and the gap that has been created since his story, so I wouldn't mind seeing him return, but I don't think I need it either. That said...

An unknown Cell Jr would make a pretty cool storyline.

I have a theory. Get ready to blow your mind

Dragon Ball Super is just a harem anime disguised as shonen. Goku is the oblivious main character with Beerus, Vegeta, Hit, Zamasu, Toppo, Jiren, and Freeza (the loli) as the harem.

yes I know this was filler

Forgot all about this lol. DBZ could be pretty damn brutal when it wanted too.

Good idea, maybe Gohan accidentally missed one when he slaughtered the Cell Jrs.

Cell doesn't really have a interesting dynamic to bring if he was brought back.

So he's better off dead.

Cell had some potential at some point but yeah, probably not anymore. Before Gohan regained his Ultimate form, I always thought Cell could have acted as a rival to him, occasionally dropping by to coerce him into a fight or something, thus forcing Gohan to train and stay in shape.

Cell would also have a love/hate relationship with Goku because they're also rivals yet Goku never actually got to defeat Cell.

Moreover, Cell could have provided some welcome snark and 'tude after Piccolo and Vegeta have both mellowed... but it seems Frieza is filling that role for the time being.

Finally, think about his relationship with Satan! There has got to be some good comedy to write if Goku and co. tell Satan that Cell isn't an enemy anymore and they are forced to interact.

This is Freeza week. His transformation on both the episode and the DBFZ reveal looked amazing.

I'm glad they're bringing him back because RoF seriously fucked him up as a character. Also, the way he died in Cell arc was lame too.

So in a way, it's for the best that he can come back and die for the fourth time but with some dignity.

Though I do agree that RoF did his character no favors.
Disagree he was evil, petty and demented on the F arc. ( not on the movie he sucked)

Torturing tagoma, the way he gets a ptsd while killing Gohan calling Goku's name, killing his entire army by just transforming uhhgg
💜
Shame about the ugly animation but Frieza was cool there

I haven't actually watched Super, but from what I've read it sounds like there's some cool shit in it. However, I haven't seen any mention of Uub. Is he not even a side character? He should have been a big deal, being the human reincarnation of the most powerful villain in the universe (at the end of DBZ) and Goku's personal student...

He's been acknowledged a few times, but we haven't yet reached the point in the story where he was introduced.

Toei certainly picked the greatest time to drop the ball on the animation for the ROF arc.

You know it had to be bad to make me recommend the CGI filled movie to everyone.

Currently we're 3 years and about 5 months before Uub's introduction at the end of Z, but he's been mentioned twice.

Boredom before the Sony conference and hype for the new game drove me to create an Android 18 CAW in WWE 2k17 lol. Now I'm thinking of making a gender-bent Android 17 for a Tag Team. Shame that you can't make mixed Tag Teams.

Well yeah, Frieza was still Frieza in that storyline, but that's pretty much it. It didn't do anything really interesting with it and felt like a bit of a waste of a great villain.

This new arc giving us him force to work with the heroes will be doing something new with him, so I'm looking forward to it.

give him a new form like freeza that removes the spots. there, problem solved

The spots must stay, what is a biological perfect android without his spots. Would you take the spots from a dalmatian?!

No. Cell doesn't need to come back.

Everyone else does.

Including Tien, and his VA died.

Plus, Cell is superior to Freeza.

If Goku or Vegeta can do it.......Cell can! And that will always be more than Freeza can.

I had my qualms about freeza.

But damn was he fucking awesome. His interactions with goku were exactly what I'd expect them to be coming off DBZ.

His reactions to the ambush were brilliant too. Loved seeing him oneshot the dude.

His transformation was SWEEEEEET too.

It looks like Super might be getting some heat about that Master Roshi episode.

I can't argue with it since that episode took it way too far.

Personally I still think it was tame compared to Z and the original DB.

Though this is what got me from reading the article:

BPO regularly publishes complaints about anime.

Other anime to receive complaints published by BPO in the past include Owarimonogatari, SHIMONETA, Chibi Maruko-chan, Gintama, Kan Colle, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, The Seven Deadly Sins, Akame ga KILL!, Your Lie in April, Hunter x Hunter, Blood-C, Fullmetal Alchemist, School Days, Magi, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Pokémon, and NANA.

Chibi Maruko-chan

Wat.
