Couldn't make a better Teen Gohan model if you tried. Just amazing

it will not be confused with the anime mostly cause there are tons of elements moving with more framerate than the anime could possibly have

which is good?

some times the game models look a little off (weirdly, the Goku model is the one who looks the most off here) but let's be honest, week to week the anime was wonkier (even back in the Z days, no need to post super images here)

Also in that video, Goku calls a Vegeta cold star assist, then switches into Gohan while opponent is locked down.

Free, safe tags using assist. Vegeta assist might be too good for how popular a character he is. Amaterasu was hard to use so you didn't see her that often in casual matches.

Vegeta gonna be the new Dr. Doom brehs

I swear if the PC release doesn't have the JP dub and/or features weird Faulconer-like OST shenanigans, I'll cry. I'm not getting the game if that's the case. A similar thing happened with Diablo 3, where the original PC release had Korean but not Japanese, and the Japanese version stayed console-exclusive.

Speaking of soundtrack, it's a shame the Kikuchi OST once again didn't make it into a DB game apparently. Not that it's surprising at this point, but disappointing nonetheless. The game is visually so faithful to the anime -- I mean seriously, they nailed the colors and shading, unlike Burst Limit in its time -- that not having the original background music is a crying shame.
I hate superficial DLC but I would pay top dollar for a Kikuchi DLC.

Man that Vegeta model really is just perfect. Like seriously perfect. Cell Saga Vegeta is probably my favorite look for Vegeta. Gohan's is perfect too, but I feel like there wasn't much to deviate from when going for Teen Gohan, I mean obviously it's going to be his Cell Games self and they nailed that.

Goku is the only one that I don't think is perfect, but that's because there are so many different styles in which he's drawn that I like a lot that it's hard for me to even identify what my favorite "look" for him is. At least when looking at his base form anyway. His SSJ form is pretty much perfect.

Now that I think of it, Goku is the only Saiyan we've seen in base form so far.

Young Gohan looks incredible in this. *.*

I think the ki aura's need a bit of work. Other than that, I just need a great single player mode.

I'll have my fingers crossed for beam struggles but I'm not really expecting it.

Funnily enough, Goku and Vegeta are the ones who look a bit off and flat. The others, especially Cell and Freeza, look just like the manga/anime, it's amazing.

If SSB Vegeta is in this, I wonder if we will get a Cell Saga looking Vegeta as an SSB, or if they'll make the model look more like Vegeta is Drgaon Ball Super.

Just need to see how well they nail the bang™ on my boy Ultimate Gohan.

Good guy team: Trunks/Piccolo/Ultimate Gohan
Bad guy team: Cell/Broly/Frieza

LET'S GO!

Who would have thought the best thing to come out of E3 would be Dragonball fighting game.

Now it's got me revisiting Budokai on Vita.

Bamco should/should've cobbled together some kind of invitational tournament or some other way to stream several hours of gameplay (preferably with people who can learn fighting games quickly).

don't worry, previous PC dragon ball games all had japanese, same as a lot of games from namco bandai!

Concerning the music, i will be pretty happy if it's daisuke ishiwatari that does them (the trailer music is really close to his style)

Yeah, it's probably Ishiwatari. Which I'm fine with, Still in the Dark all day erryday and all that. I'm just not entirely sure it fits the DB style, AND Kikuchi would still be better.

You and me both... Honestly, I think I'd be stupid enough to pay € 20 for it (provided the game is good obviously). This, along with the great visuals and seemingly good combat, would redeem all those years of poor/lackluster DB games. I know people on GAF love Xenoverse, but it never appealed to me, and I don't like the 3D DBZ games. , the last great DBZ fighting game was Budokai 3, as far as I'm concerned... Although it didn't have the faithful story mode or the Japanese voices à la Budokai 1. Didn't the Japanese have the voices AND Kikuchi?

Heck, did any DBZ fighting game ever have the original Kikuchi BGM? The Budokai games didn't have them. The Butouden games either. Ultimate Battle 22, Final Bout, Densetsu... The Tenkaichi games... None had it IIRC, right? I didn't play all of them.

yup i would also pay for a kikuchi DLC! No argument needed

Never thought Id be excited for a fighting game such as this, and I generally suck at them. Maybe I'll put in the time to get good at this one.

Watched the reveal trailer several times, hyped.

Since teen Gohan is called just Gohan in this I hope it doesn't mean the adult version isn't in.

with the roster being 24 max, be sure 90 percent of people will be bitching.

personally hes my favorite gohan but im not expecting him at launch, or the other buus

Assuming 24 max, including dlc, I'd guess in addition to these 6,
Adult Gohan, Piccolo, 18, Krillin, Blue Vegeta, Blue Goku, Beerus.
I'd put those 7 as almost guaranteed.
Next, the very likelies
Broly, Bardock, Nappa, Gotenks, F.Trunks, Super and Kid Buu.
Leaving us 4 true open spots.
17, Tein, Yamcha, and Chichi are my hope.
My guess is Radits, Great Saiyaman, Hercule, and Bulma.
Hope I'm wrong. Tien and 17 would be glorious, I'd be ok with one of them tho.

24 is very low for 3vs3 game.

Yes, the Sparking games did (Japanese Tenkaichi) but they were replaced for the western releases. Despite making a great first impression, the loops were pretty short so it wasn't really ideal for that kind of game. It was pretty damn cool the first few times, though.

One and only thing I can criticize is that the auras seem sit behind the character rather than envelop them.

I'm thinking (or rather, hoping) that this is because the game is still a year away, and some things are still going to be touched up between now and release.
