Giant Bomb @ E3 2017: <>

I really want this too, but I wonder what focus it could take to merit being its own thing. They already have 2 podcasts that tackle news/emails/what they're playing/etc.

Millennialcast.
Talking about Cronuts or something.

ok...

Going to quote this again so it gets even more love.

Forget to listen to the June 6 ep and hearing where Brad is in Horizon makes me sad. He hasn't even seen the larger world.

They could actually have guests on every week (#influencers), especially since they're doing it over Skype already anyway.

Just watched the editors sign in with Ben & Abbey. The new guys are all starting to make

sense now and it's awesome. I feel like Dan is gonna be great at closing the gap between

the new and the old. It's really great to see.

I think it primarily comedy podcast with maybe one or 2 gaming tangents here or there would be awesome.

Similar to gameburglars , but not as insane or chaotic as there's no kessler.

Just watching the Phil Spencer interview. Despite what some people think about him, he seems to be one of the most genuine and down to earth people in the industry. Sure it all could be smoke and mirrors, but he really does seem to love playing games and working inside the industry.

His whole idea behind the Game Pass and backwards compatibility being about older games still being playable so that people get a sense of where the industry came from and allowing for more business model exploration for more types of games to work in this current business environment stuck a chord with me. Really wish Sony thought the same tbh. Cool dude.

Fully agree. You can tell he is trying not to PR too much but just getting his and the Xbox thoughts across.

So after some clicking around I discovered that Patrick Klepek has:

About as many twitter followers as John Carpenter
More twitter followers than Jeff
More twitter followers than Brad+Vinny put together
3x as many twitter followers as Austin Walker
5x as many as Jason
10x as many followers as Abby or Ben

Remote Play on the PC is a pretty good fit for P5.

Of the 30ish hours I played, a surprising amount was over Remote Play. Definitely a good kind of game for it. (The PC remote play client is pretty fantastic, too. Surprised how well it's been working lately, even when I'm not on the same network as the console.)

Phil Spencer came across very well and talked a lot of sense. Xbox and gaming is in good hands.

Can't wait to buy Forza 7 on PC. Thanks for bringing it.

He's been jumping jobs so often that he gets a brand new community to follow him every couple of months.

Watching the Day 2 thing and, as last time I think, I LOVE the Jeff & Phil Spencer talk. I'm not even an Xbox fan, but the guy just seems super nice, legit and all around like a great guy to talk to. He doesn't marketing bullshit too much, except when he has to, he's doing jokes about his own brand and he's at least sounding like he's a honest guy at pretty much all times.

Love that part and huge props to Phil that he's always doing this with Giant Bomb.

Ditto. I really enjoyed the Tim and Lorne segment as well.

That and he has a reputation for breaking news. He's one of the few actual game journalists left. That's not to shame those who specialize in personality-driven content, but it's good to have people who do good investigative and editorial journalism.
