UK General Election 2017 |OT2| No Government is better than a bad Government

Instead of all the suggestions over how the people chose wrong, the thick idiots, may I suggest an alternative?

Don't spend 20+ years blaming the EU for everything that goes wrong and telling people that the EU is at best making your lives roughly the same, realistically, worse.

Keep banging the same drum for long enough and people will eventually believe you...

Not that the EU isn't to blame too, should have had some sort of PR "look at the good the EU does" going a long time ago...

Who would do this?

Nothing sells like a bad story. The news media are useless and parrot what the politicians say.

The time for it to happen was during the vote with the remain team and they fucked it up.

The EU can't go around advertising can they? They do have built with funding from the EU etc. in places and organisations.

But then who would the government have blamed for all their fuckups? You can't blame the poor for everything*

*trust me, the Tories have tried.

It's quite fun going back 10 years to see how things have shifted from benefit "scroungers" being the one thing that was fucking up this country. Hardly anyone harps on the welfare state any more unless its' in the context of foreigners/Muslims claiming them.

I guess the ConLib coalition's policy of outright murdering the vulnerable didn't really play as well as they hoped.

I think the benefit sanctions on those who don't even try to find work played quite well with public opinion.
The mistake ,was also targeting the sick and allowing private companies to assess disability benefit entitlement.
 
My ministers will strengthen the economy so that is supports the creation of jobs and generates the tax revenues needed to invest in the National Health Service, schools, and other public services.

Right, so I assume we're redoing corporate tax so it won't be a flat 17% by 2020? Surely after all this the Conservatives can't carry on with trickle down horseshit economics.
 
Of course, the real question is who will be appointed the Skinner when Dennis resigns.
