I'm saying that out of season attacks are not crazy at all and could happen. Hillary Clinton got attacked all the time in a similar way and that was in part because everyone knew she was going to run eventually. It's like you guys are selectively forgetting that one now.
For me, him getting impeached means and confirms the common believe that you have to be part of a super special club for many years to get anywhere in government. Otherwise there's...I guess we can call it push back from all angles.
So if Russia's goal was to get Americans to question their political system, I think they did it.
They sound corrupt if this is true (I have no idea if it is true or not). Hopefully, people won't be saying Bernie is holier than thou if he runs again in 2020. He is just another mediocre politician without too many accomplishments in his time in Washington. I don't really get what was all the hype about him was about.

Nailed it on the head. I voted for Bernie in the NC Primary last year very enthusiastically, but if he broke the law, that needs to be investigated and justice needs to be served.

She was attacked dating back to the 1990s when she was not going to be a candidate. But she maintained high approvals through that. They started to tank only when she started running for president. But yes in general, any potential leader will be torn down as much as possible by the opposition.
We've survived impeachments and worse before as a country. The major difference here is the associated mass rejection of basic facts and information. And the continued desire to make as many people as possible suffer - mostly directed at minorities and poor people. The lack of critical thinking doesn't help either because some of those groups have been turned against each other (white poors/uneducated being the main culprits) as if they're the ones holding each other down. When it is mostly one party that's currently in power championing policies that consistently destroy them.
As for the presidency. Yeah, it is an exclusive club. It's incredibly difficult and expensive to get to that level. But if he were to get impeached, it would be because he's a criminal and abuser of power while being incompetent on how to run a government. That's on him 100%. Not some club keeping him out. He's already in the club.
You would think the parallels would cause at least some level of self-examination, but apparently not.
My hunch: The Sanders family is "wrong" in this instance in the same way Clinton was "wrong" about her e-mails.

Same here. Most Bernie supporters aren't hypocrites. If he did something wrong, it will come to light via this investigation. And I will accept the outcome regardless of what it is. Someone can have a really good message and generally be a good person yet still succumb to the temptations of bad things. Everyone is human after all. And if they do something wrong, they need to own up to it and be accountable for it.

Regardless of the outcome of an investigation that is not in any way a form of guilt by definition, i don't think that it says anything about whether or not you telling people to vote for for the failing status quo or shut up has much merit.
I don't think there is anything they did as wrongdoing that will show up during the case, but if they did, the FBI investigation will illuminate that.
But again, it has nothing to do with whether or not you can talk down to other people about asking more from their politicians.

It wasn't a small lie, it was an egregious lie. The bank should have caught that lie and should have denied the loan. It's curious that they did not. Jane Sanders then diverted over $500,000 to her daughters Woodworking School.
If this type of egregious rule bending, nepotism and exploitation by the powerful doesn't bother you, I don't know what to say, but this shit galls me. Maybe you are right but a man has to hope there is a way to wake some people up. Otherwise this dark time we are in will seem really hopeless. If Bernie hardliners can be taught a hard lesson and understand how our government functions a bit better, then they can start being true allies of the cause.
And yes, given the danger this current reality poses to minorities and LGBT and marginalised groups of all sorts, scoring political points by any means necessary is sadly important.

There was a huge file they were ready to use against Bernie. Some of it just throwing shit at a wall, but other facts that would have obviously been quite damning to the average American voter. The man has skeletons like all candidates.

True. All candidates have skeletons. Sanders' skeletons were so specifically repellent to WWC voters that a Trump win would have been considered likely. They matched up with Trump's perceived strengths quite nicely. Sanders would have been opened up like a soft peanut.
