Some textures are unimpressive, but man does this game look great for the most part.
IQ is insane, I'm so glad console games are no longer the jaggy, blurred messes they were last gen.
Native Fortress was a huge pain in the ass, I finally got past it though. Are many later levels that long? It reminded me a lot of that really long level at the end of the first world of Bit.Trip Runner, not necessarily super hard but very, very long and you have to do a lot of moderately hard stuff with zero margin for error. The hog level was bullshit too, it felt like I often couldn't react to stuff like the shield guys in time, you need to memorize some of their movements to get through.
Overall it's fun though. I can't remember the last time I played a game as focused on platforming as this, i forgot how much I like them. It sometimes feels in 1 like it's hard to land jumps precisely, like in the parts of Native Fortress where you bounce up on the arrow boxes I'd often seem to miss a box by a pixel or two and fall all the way down. If 2 and 3 tighten stuff like that up a little I'll love them.
