Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

Rather upset by this bug I just ran into

DDlx9yyXUAA4SHI.jpg

Gonna have to repeat Lost City ;-;

EDIT: Oh never mind it's not a bug, apparently you can't die? Hrmmmm

My god I forgot how hard Crash 1 was D:
And yes like many here the 3 flames in Native Fortress took me many attempts =/
I'm halway through Island 2 now.

I never did actually manage to beat Crash 1 as a kid in full (not without the level select cheat anyway) thanks to its difficulty and crappy save system. But I'll at least get to beat it this time, but I really doubt I'll manage to get all the gems and the other ending - beating levels with all boxes and not dying once?

EDIT: holy shit you can skip the 3 flames???

Sold out almost everywhere here in Sweden. Someone underestimated the sales power of these games... Saw all kinds of people picking up copies left and right.

Crash 1 is still hard as fuck, ugh. Might move on to 2 at some point and save the rest of 1 for last.

look at the wood pillars in the background. One of them doesn't have a spiked top (above the second flame plate). You can stand on it.

There's another earlier in the level that lets you walk behind some obstacles.

Oh! I don't think I ever did that as kid. This is going to be interesting, there are probably several things I wasn't aware of.
*holding wooden sign*
HELP

Have you checked Amazon? They might sell keys for this game.

My partner is complaining about the game bring glitchy.

Or, she's just bad at turtle jumps, you decide :p

Just a heads up, one of the trophies in crash 1 is missable

I meant to do that!
You have to destroy a 1up by spinning through it. However every 1up in the game only drops once, and I picked the levels clean before checking the trophy list :(

...actually I should check the bonus stages, brb

Nevermind! Use the bonus room on level 2 if you have this problem.

I did yeah. Does dying include the bonus stages this time round?
No, bonus stages don't count. You can die as many times as you want there as long as you break all the crates too.
It's only on the main level where you don't have to die in order to collect the colored gem.

The High Road can kiss my ass. If you thought Road to Nowhere was hard, wait till you get to this bastard.

I basically walked on the rope through the entirety of High Road. I just cant get the high jumps on the turtled to work right, the physics feel off when jumping on them.

Um... it isn't?

Somebody else tell him

It isn't.

No seriously, Native Fortress is one level that is long and challenging and need a few attempts but it isn't unfair or unbeatable, not even close. It FINALLY demands some natural skill from us gamer again. Thank you Crash!

All the new generation kiddies can go back to Mario with his white tanuki suit bullshit. :P

I bought the game on one of my country's big retail stores and it was full of people buying this game. I've been into many launch days and this is the first time where I had to wait in line for a videogame. No way this game ain't gonna be big, anecdotal experience or not.

Fortunately you can easily get this trophy almost immediately on a new file.

Surely there's a hidden one or two kinda offscreen that you missed?? Or have you 100% sweeped thru the first game already? Impressive.

Thanks! I was hoping to answer my own question there but I managed to run through the level and both bonus stages there without dying. I can't remember if Sunset Vista has a coloured gem. If it does I will cry.

Today I will re-live my childhood!

Buuuuuut I'm gonna wait until the full game is installed before i start because I don't want the loud ass disc spinning noise to be on while I play.

Does it bother anyone else that PS4 has no progress bar for disc installation? It only tells you when the game is "ready to launch" but after that you're on your own.

If you press the options button while highlighting the game, you can click on info and it will tell you how much it has installed out of total.

Just had a perfect run on Boulders and died on the last jump. Gutted. Managed it in my next go.

No colored gem but there's the Cortex Bonus round that you need to beat for one of the two keys in the game.

Actually, Native Fortress is pretty unfair. The best games have gradual, natural difficulty curves and Crash 1 does not have this. There's a reason you're given four extra lives at the end of the level. Naughty Dog themselves knew the stage was too difficult, relative to its placement in the game. The problem with this stage and many others in Crash 1 is landing jumps. It's pretty cheap.
