Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

I really can't get over how beautiful these games look. Bravo VV

This exchange is so awesome, particularly once you google what "deaged" is on urban dictionary.

Just had a glitch happen in Castle Machinery. There's a part with multiple boxes that you need to bounce on with Crash lives being the below boxes. I am trying to get all of the boxes, or at the very least the more safer top boxes and as I am timing my box jump, Crash dissapears. I thought to myself "Did I fall to my death, did I not time this?" but no.....for a good 1 and half minutes my character was completely vanished. I can spin, I can hear the spin and I can progress forward in the stage, or at least the camera will move forward but after a minute and half my character got stuck in place before the game mercifully(thank god btw, I thought I would have to start the level over again, not that it is hard or anything) took a life off and put me back to the last checkpoint.

I was absolutely stunned, has anyone else experienced this?

EDIT: OMG IT HAPPENED AGAIN. Beware of falling in this section, I think it's between the 3rd and 4th top box that if you don't time it right, your character will vanish and you'll experience what I did.

Im sorry but most of those deaths are you being really bad, like, some of them I dont know even know what you were thinking.

Though those shield guys seems glitched. You csn jump on them and they still push you back, they were much easier in the original.

Agreed, but I'm halfway through Crash 2 and not had that sort of difficulty spike than I had with that level. Also there really feels like there is something off with the 'hitboxes' or whatever you call them. There were times when I was jumping and clearly didn't hit a spike but died, and same with falling off. There are times where you have to bee 100% in the middle of a box, or have your feet 100% on ground otherwise you just slip off.

Crash 1 is such a clusterfuck of emotions. Hasn't aged well at all and the dumb camera/controls can be infuriating and yet I still can't get enough. I hate myself. I love myself.

Love 2 and 3 though.

I gave up on Crash 1, and I'm playing Crash 2 and the fuzzy nostalgic feeling is coming back. This game is very pleasant and vibrant.

Holy moly turned on Game Mode on my TV and it made the game 100 times better to control. Wish I did this before doing Slippery Climb.....

Yeah its definately a huge spike in difficulty, and some of the final levels are actually easier than this one.

I didnt have any problems with hitboxes and the like in that level, but sonething definately felt wrong in High Road.

I just bought it. I think I'l start on 2 and 3, and wait to see if 1 gets patched to make it easier or less frustrating.

I gave High Road a try before and it was an instant nope after too much frustration in Road to Nowhere lol

Just cheesed the hell out of it by using the ropes, easy peasy

Yeah I really think the game needs a patch. It's great nostalgic fun and I'm really enjoying the gameplay but some of the deaths really feel cheap at times. I will admit I suck at the game though. It's been so long since I played them haha.

I think that sums it up but it's still very much pulling me in.

Between me and my partner we've agreed to not do the time trials until after completing the game proper because fuck you jumps that need you to get mm perfect and still likes to kill you anyway.

Native Fortress last part is just impossible... I feel like Crash does not jump high enough.
I know Crash 2 and 3 are better but I won't let the damn game beat me!

This level ate up 70% of my life stock. Ripper Roo took the rest. :(

I spent about ten minutes on the hog level, but 100% it eventually. Ripper Roo drove me nuts until I decided to stand on the platforms near the waterfall. He doesn't jump there until after the second hit.

Road to Nowhere is a a troll level, got to the bonus finally and you can't actually see how far away the teleport pad is because there's a pillar in the way so I walked off the edge, fuck this level.

Can we just agree that Slippery Climb is like the Sen's Fortress of this game? aesthetics and colors are similar and both lack checkpoints/bonefires lol.

Got all the coloured gems in Crash 1 and now going back to mop up.

Must say: some if these secrets are awful. Blindly jump down this pit and there's the crates and face token you're missing, jump through the background at this one part you won't be looking for because you're busy trying not to die and blindly spin to smash this one crate you're missing, etc.

I'm guessing these were here to foster hint magazine sales and then propagate via word of mouth.

Seeing people commune to talk about Crash 1 levels in 2017 is surreal, engaging and terrifying.

Also, the amount of people online saying "Apples" is ticking me something fierce.

I fell for it too. Literally.

FInished the first game. It was awesome. Some of the later levels wrecked me.

I'm NOT going to try to get all boxes withough dying. Nope never, I love myself, won't do it.

Next up: Crash 2

To be fair the jumping down the pit is the only one I didn't find completely on my own after just a few runs through the levels, so it wasn't all that bad imo. That particular one also has those two enemies floating there for seemingly no reason, but it was a bit too subtle for me.

That happened to me as well. It's like you fall to the bottom of the screen, without dying and you can still control Crash. I recorded it:

Definitely a little bug there.

I attempted a blind Crash 1 100% run years ago on my PSP and gave up over stupid things like that. I wasn't going to constantly try random leap of faiths and such. Just wasn't worth the effort.

I haven't played Crash 1 on this yet, but the jumping even in Crash 2 is horrendous. I don't remember it being this bad.

Beat Crash 1, didn't get everything though. Not dying and getting all the boxes is rough stuff. Had just 1 game over and that was on Cortex oddly enough, those fireballs have a ridiculous hitbox. One death had me purposely move left only for the fireball that was well right of me to count as a hit, my jaw dropped.

Awesome. Glad I wasn't the only one.

The last time I encountered a bug for a worldwide release game was Zelda: Link Between Worlds where the boss of the 3rd Dark World dungeon pushed me past the door and towards the mandatory crystal reward LOL. I was in awe, I just went back in and wanted to finish that boss up because I was not going to win it like that. Turns out that's now a staple for speed runs of the game.

Well I got paid yesterday and now I think its time to go pick this up especially as its going to be raining and storming for the rest of the day.
