After revisiting the Goku Black Arc and currently watching this arc, what if we are thinking of Super Saiyan Blue the wrong way? What if the difference between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue is like the difference between 2 graphics cards? One can handle more settings like 16xAA, higher resolution, etc. What if people not recognizing God Ki is the same as when you play a console version of a game with not a lot of grass, objects, scenery, and building textures, and then you play the PC version and realize that there was supposed to be way more of the above? It can make a big difference in how you view a game.
Consider here on this chart that SSB6 could just be the GTX 1060 to SS's RX 480. All Goku did was manage to overclock it with Kaioken and it's possible the RX 480 was already overclocked(Super Saiyan) and thus he couldn't stack Kaioken on top. This would help explain the issues with the show's power scaling and how Trunks and Kale both managed to keep up with God Ki.
