After revisiting the Goku Black Arc and currently watching this arc, what if we are thinking of Super Saiyan Blue the wrong way? What if the difference between Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan Blue is like the difference between 2 graphics cards? One can handle more settings like 16xAA, higher resolution, etc. What if people not recognizing God Ki is the same as when you play a console version of a game with not a lot of grass, objects, scenery, and building textures, and then you play the PC version and realize that there was supposed to be way more of the above? It can make a big difference in how you view a game.

Consider here on this chart that SSB6 could just be the GTX 1060 to SS's RX 480. All Goku did was manage to overclock it with Kaioken and it's possible the RX 480 was already overclocked(Super Saiyan) and thus he couldn't stack Kaioken on top. This would help explain the issues with the show's power scaling and how Trunks and Kale both managed to keep up with God Ki.

🤓 hmmm 🤔

The problem is they need to convey that in the show. Either mess with Goku's aura when he's holding back or going full force, or have him mention it/ have another character say, "I'm sure he's holding back.". Not everyone is checking what the writers have to say, and we don't know what that means for something like Goku vs. Kale, or Goku vs. 17 even.
I've always taken that as it being implied since he doesn't vaporize people or instantly ragdoll people weaker than Beerus.

Goku was mainly just testing 17. Goku said 17 was holding back, 17 said Goku was holding back. There wasn't any reason to go all out, and even 17 said "We can't go any harder or the island will get destroyed." Right after they chatted about holding back.

Vs Kale, he said "I'm gonna let out more power now!" which would imply that he wasn't going all out during that whole sequence. The only thing that seemed to really hurt him was that final greensplosion.

That sure did play up that super special ultra katchin stuff didn't they.

I kind of wanted Krillin to try and cut it with his Destructo Disc, and get sad when it didn't work like against Goku, since I don't think the participant's were told what the stage was made of.

I always thought it was hilarious how they built him up as stronger than Vegeta during the Saiyan arc and then Vegeta just wrecks him.
It was the start of the only thing Vegeta would be allowed to do in that arc, lose a fight and get a zenkai boost so he could kill someone that he wasn't in the same league with.

Power scaling on Namik was super silly, haha.

The way the creators make SS Blue feel like it isn't as strong as it is supposed to be makes me consider SS Blue is a reset button and not a multiplier. That's why I see it as a GPU that's been re-branded and slightly upgraded rather than a completely new GPU architecture.

You could flesh it out and say that a little power is actually a big gap in a fight. Like, 2% more powerful gets to you to a place where you can one shot that opponent.

Honestly it works fine as a theory EXCEPT in the Freeza saga, where most power-level conceptions were born thanks to them giving out actual numbers.

That was sick. Good progression of events imo.

they are just silly numbers given out by the scooters made for the freeza army

who knows what they really measured

Vegeta really put in some work on Namek haha. He wrecked a lot of people. The way he does Zarbon in is just fucked.

Any word on corrections or updates on the episodes??

I imagine someone will post stuff about this in the coming days.
I don't expect much, 73-84 is a pretty solid batch of episodes. I do hope they fix a few of the funky faces in 79-82 though.
Were there any major corrections for the Future Trunks arc one?

Mostly a few minor corrections and continuity fixes here and there, nothing major.

Skimmed the blu-rays... I didn't really notice anything that stuck out as corrected compared to the original broadcast. Certainly some of the off-model stuff remains uncorrected.

Saikyou Jump revealed the missing U6 fighters.
Two Namekians and a boar looking dude.

Time to work your magic, Piccolo. Convince them to fuse, become relevant for a couple episodes before Goku and Vegeta learn a new form and leave you behind for another 200 episodes

Imagine that conversation though.

"Yo, I've been irrelevant for a very long time. But you guys, from another universe,
if you would be so kind as to merge with me and give me your power, I just might have a chance at catching up with them, like the good ol' days. So... Pretty please?"

"Don't worry I got two other guys inside me right now. They're cool."
