Definitely this. Also Rathalos Armor is available to purchase for Smash Bros via DLC, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's in case.

Whatever happens to MVCi, the new content at least can be salvaged. That's all I'm saying.
Everything about MVCi thus far is not Capcom. There are no odd ball choices. No hype cycle. Everything is designed around the MCU, even Capcoms characters are being designed to be just as sterile. I feel like Capcom is getting the real short end of the stick with this game.
I'm not sure if oddball choices would come back for another MvC game, at least on the Marvel side. Even with the X-Men part of the ban going away, Marvel still has the final call on their side. Marvel loosening up on parts of their Fox restrictions doesn't mean that they'll let Capcom choose the Marvel characters next time. It'll still be mostly MCU characters, just with a few mutants & maybe Doom thrown into the mix.

And watch all of them have characters we've already seen.

More so from the standpoint of Ant-Man being a technical nightmare. Doctor Octopus was removed from MVC3 and never added in UMVC3 because of this. With Ant-Man possibly morphing from small to huge, I kinda get the impression that he might've been a problem in the system.

She was explicitly created to circumvent Deadpool being a Fox character, but that kinda fell apart when the X-ban ended.
Gwenpool has nothing to do with Deadpool, Marvel owns full rights to her
that's like saying every Spider-Man Spider-person was created to circumvent Sony.
They never stopped pushing Deadpool in the comics, he's as big as ever.
In this case, it would negate the need for Deadpool as DLC later.
All we know is that it'll be based on SFV's.

Gwenpool first showed up in a month of variant covers themed around Gwen Stacy, obviously on the Deadpool cover, and the design was popular enough that Marvel decided to do one shots with Howard the Duck featuring her, and those were well received so they gave her an ongoing. She was not 'explicitly' created to circumvent anything to do with Deadpool, particularly since he's been the main character in at least 4 comics pretty much the entire time Gwenpool's been around.

You know, I'm half convinced that Dust was almost going to get into vanilla MvC3, possibly being axed for X-23. In Deadpool's ending in the original MvC3, he's seen in a celebration with loads of other characters, and they're all playable ones, besides Dust.
In UMvC3, its gets updated so its various other non-playable characters, but Dust showing up in that one shot always felt weird to me.

Hopefully we hear something interesting from there but I don't' think we should expect anything new at there.
I really really doubt that we would get character reveals but it would be nice if they would announce Monster Hunter and Venom in their presentation since both franchises are quite popular in those locations.

Gamescom will almost assuredly have the last story trailer, which will show off the Metro/AIM area, and the showfloor build will probably have that stage (and hopefully whatever Dormammu/Firebrand/Jedah/Ghost Rider's area is too).

The PR said gamescom. But IMO it'd be kinda shitty to hold a PSX for Asia and not give them anything new.
That'd be as good a place as any to show Monster Hunter. But with how their gameplay reveals have been tied to story trailers outside Jedah it's doubtful.
