If anything, I hope they at least go over some of the single-player content (outside of the cinematic story) at the very least.

It would be pretty appropriate if the game only has a Story mode and Survival mode.

Last two are definitely Ghost Rider vs Morrigan on Defenders, and Black Panther vs Monster Hunter on Black Panther.
Might make sense too, since Sigma was paired up with Ultron, for the Hunter to pair with Black Panther. One newcomer and one DLC, thematically linked within the story mode.

For parity we just need a Marvel character (Ghost Rider in theory), if you put Hunter in there for Capcom, you would need another Marvel character so that would mean there is another Marvel character we dont know about (the fabled Venom one assumes) but... yeah I dunno.
The pessimist (realist?) in me thinks it's just going to be Ghost Rider left and thats the roster, 30. Hunter will be DLC

BP was not.
I've been saying for a while that something is wrong with that Venom cover. Too much negative space for such a usually good artist. It has to be a WIP.

Morrigan already appeared on the Hawkeye cover alongside Dante, RR and Hawkeye. The Spider-Man cover posted above does allow the possibility of a character appearing on multiple covers though.

Just more confusion over these covers and the marketing.
I obviously hope it's not the case, but I can't shake the feeling. First Hunter doesn't show up in the Valkanda story trailer and now this.
Capcom its boycoting this game. It has to be that, otherwise i dont explain the terrible marketing

So, I think the odds are good for Ghost Rider and Morrigan for the last cover. That keeps both sides equal. If not Ghost Rider I think we're looking at Venom, Winter Soldier or Ant-Man?
Either that, or it's the most mind blowing cover with 3-4 characters per side... but I'm not feeling too good about those odds.

I've cut capcom a lot of slack. No Venom or Hunter on the Base roster would have me like

Fucking 4 newcomers would be like wut. That would just lend more credence that the Season 1 of character's should've just been in the damn game. Really hope that's not the case.
I can't imagine them botching the roster that badly with just veterans. Even Tekken 7 which is notorious for reusing the same stuff since PS2 offered more newcomers in 7.
Then even if you wanna play "Well Rocket Raccoon and Thanos are technically new" doesn't excuse the lack on the capcom side.

Black Panther and Sigma are both in the zip leak, why were we assuming that Venom and Hunter were not also DLC btw?

All the covers look extremely horrible. Quality overall seems really bad. This game smell bad really bad and its gonna be out in less than two months
Also, i find funny that the Black Phanter comic featuring him a Ryu in the variant cover actually talks about Storm on the inside

I was really hoping that some of these covers would look cool enough to hang on a wall.
You think the Capcom hate is a dumpster fire now... If this happened, the hate would probably double over for now just the fact that Venom got pushed to DLC, but how (depending on how Venom looks and plays) it could backtrack the promise of new characters if we just got the 3D Venom from MvC2 and are expected to pay money for it.
Mind you that I don't think that people will raise hell over the Hunter. Or least not if the Hunter doesn't make the initial roster. Depending on what we see though from the hunter since we still have no idea what it entails. What weapon will the hunter use? Will Monsters be apart of his special attacks? Will you get to change weapons during the match? So many unanswered questions because of a lack of details (which considering there is no official confirmation yet makes it all the more confusing).
We are running out of time. This game is coming out NEXT MONTH and this is the roster we are going to get? There has to be something more, or at least more new characters that aren't DLC.
Sadly though... It does feel like Capcom really did underestimate the established roster and thought that only a few new characters would justify at least 25 returning characters.
