Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I wouldn't be too worried about queues at this point, unless there's some bottleneck you can literally spin up new servers in minutes. In fact I'd guess that the short queues people are seeing are probably waits for new servers to spin up, which is why they are so short.
 
I am lucky enough to have meet some amazing gentlemen through destiny that I commune with on a nearly daily basis. We have raged, celebrated, and laughed ALOT together these past 3 years, both in game and chat.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to jump in again for D2. But today, they talked me into it and one of them went so far as even buy the game for me, knowing the finiacial situation I'm in. An act that moved me greatly. I went from media blackout all year out of a desire to not get sucked back in, to absolutely excited to spend time with them almost every day again like we use to.

This is the part of gaming you can't easily Express to people who just don't understand or play. The comradery that develops.

Destiny the game was an up and down experience, but what it gave me was much more important than the hours I spent playing it.

I'm to embarrassed to say this in our chat, but on the tiny off chance one if you see this in this exploding thread:

Awesome dude. My friends donated me their old PC parts and even bought a couple new things so that could join them when they move to PC.

Some of the best friends I have are online friends, and Destiny is a big reason for the friendship.
 
Cant keep up with the pages in this thread. So whats the verdict of when you can coop the campaign with your peeps? I know the opening parts are solo based on the streams Ive seen. Thanks

Got home from work, took a shower, got food and now the wait begins. I'm not looking or reading anything else Destiny related until I'm in game. So ready!
 
Hit and run post to avoid spoilers but HOLY FUCK this is great. The music, the cutscenes, the way the opening plays out. The music! Yeh. This is great, I am so happy to be home in Destiny again.

Edit: The music!!!!! Headphones are a must for the opening hour and a bit.

I don;'t think they're solo? Just streamers choosing to play solo. And you definitely CAN do them solo.
 
Drank too many bourbons waiting for Aussie midnight unlock of preloaded D2...started playing the intro mission again and...fell asleep. Old man gaming card achieved alright.

Pretty sure that's the full version with patch...originally it was 29 gigs, I know when I preloaded last night it was 34 so I assume that's the patch too.
 
Picked up my copy, took home, put in to update, put controller on to charge and now I'm back at work riding out the next four hours....

My flatmate is sitting down playing...
 
visited 2 world now, i don't know how too feel about the new open world system

the worlds are MUCH tighter and linear than before, there is barely any open space

Not everything. The easy/normal stuff you will be able to (Nightfalls & Normal Raid via Guided Games which matches you with a clan willing to take you on), but the hard/heroic stuff you will need a clan/LFG
 
Already seen 2 level 6 players in the social area with exotics. I'm guessing crucible? Game doesn't even drop engrams for me yet
 
Friend wants to go out for some birthday drinks (which we already did this weekend, but can't say no since today is his actual birthday), and my boss is on vacation this week, so no working from home tomorrow. Fudge! People are messing with my priorities.

Thanks, I found a thread on Reddit saying the original was 29GB as well. My PS4 download was only 32GB on the menu screen, but when I checked for the update, the info says it's version 1.02 and 38GB, lol. I guess I'll find out at midnight.

there is a story mission where your reward is to choose between 3 exotic armor gears, it's early in the game
 
I think I joined a clan via the website yesterday but I can't see anyone via roster even after the farm hub opens up with other players, is that normal right now?

Glad I'm not the one feeling the same about those open spaces. I mean, visited the EDZ, Titan, Neesus and Io, and, well, it's beautiful, like really, but it doesn't feel really open, even less than some spaces in D1. I don't know, not disappointed, but it doesn't feel like an improvement. But it's much more dynamic due to how close the spaces are.

When finishing the campaign, you will get at least 4 to 6 exotics during your whole time. I guess exotics aren't the big thing here, Legendary weapons are. Didn't get a legendary drop until the campaign was done.
