Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Morning DGAF from a tired Brit.

Hope the rest of the rolling release went well across the pond.

It's 8:20, so it's time for a cup of tea, and a day off work with D2.

I can't tell if it's my normal morning wood, or I just REALLY enjoyed playing last night.

I mean, you still sound bitter about it three years on and if that's going to influence you going in I'd say no. It has great single player from what I've played but I've only scratched the surface and, like many here, I liked Destiny 1 so it's hard to tell you how how significant the difference between the two is as the negatives of the first were more of a rut for you.
 
Was a fun first night, only did a couple missions and adventures but it seems a lot more polished and varied than D1, see how that holds up. It's kind of weird not having bounties to fulfill while running around, etc. Haven't even really begun to explore yet.

Game is gorgeous as ever and sounds great.
 
Planning to rush through the story with a friend, we ended up just messing around on patrol way longer than we even intended on being up. Thanks bungie, I havent had such fun in a long time.
 
Loving what I've played so far. Got through the first few story missions with friends and ran around the EDZ patrol area. Feels so good to be back! :D
 
3.5 hours in - level 7 power of 68 or so. Finished a bunch of adventures, 3 public events, and a few of the story missions. It is great so far. The adventures feel more like the Destiny 1 story missions. Big step up so far.

And a big step up in the beta. The shooting felt off in the beta but feels perfect here.

Not sure but I have been getting rep for the edz faction by turning in tokens.
 
Quick question about the farm

in the hanger where shaxx is, on the top floor there are 3 crates at the end of the gangway, when you approach the single crate on the right or jump on top of them the ghost makes a noise and appears in the top corner of the screen but I can't find anything around there, anyone know what is there?

Agreed with all of this almost word for word. It's surprisingly good. This actually feels like a game that someone intended to make versus the cobbled together mess that D1 was.

3 person fireteam is a bummer though. Had 4 people on it the entire night.
 
Not much time to play today. Will hit up tomorrow.

All I can say is for now man, it definitely looks a lot crisper than the first. Nice work bungie.
 
umm holy shit this first hour

you guys weren't kidding about it being better than the entire campaign of D1.

The music, lighting, level & art design. Feels like Bungies return to form in SP campaigns

The ghost icon appears whenever something can be inspected nearby. Specifically in your situation it's on the roof above you.
 
A dude so vain he really about to pick this shit up tomorrow so he can see the memories thing and relieve the stupid amount of time he put into D1 lmao.
 
Just finished my first Crucible match.

I'm liking this.

The soundtrack is beautiful.

First impressions, I suck as a game reviewer but DGAF.

EDIT: Had Destiny for over a year and never even got into TTK content, the memories part was so short for me, hahaha.

Titan? I think it's because of the stuff going on in the background. EDZ interiors definitely look better.
 
Did the first crucible mission, won both games. You definitely need to stick together in this new 4v4 layout.

It's cool that you can view the full set of PvP armor at the NPC.

Being someone that never really cared for Destiny 1 and thought the story, presentation, and mission design severely lacking... Destiny 2... wow I'm really, really enjoying it's set up, style, presentation, and that soundtrack!
