Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

So how many PvP maps? OT says 10, some streamers say it feels like 6. And is that 10 not including the PS exclusive map?

TPP:
OCT 24 IS ONLY 48 DAYS AWAY!!!! ARRRGHH!!11

Guys, I pre-ordered Destiny 2 from another store, and I supposedly got the exotic weapon, but I can't find it in game anywhere. Is there a way to get it or I'm fucked because it's not my main account store?

is there a way to take off your helmet at the start? I want to see if the char I made looks good in game or not.. and if I have to remake it better etc..

Not seen anything bounty wise yet, which makes me think xp is going to be quite hard to come by as they were good for boosts every day.

So I'm not finished but I've been to every planet. Is it just me or is EDZ super awesome while all the other destinations feel like D1 destinations? :\

Anyone else having a hard time connecting to crucial le. I've been sitting here for about three minutes and still at 1/8 guardians.

If I played D1 on PS4 and get D2 on PC and my PSN and Battle.net / Bungie accounts are linked, will it import?

This is what I'm hoping gets implemented but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm almost tempted to pick up a copy for PS4, the wait is gonna be tough but it'll be worth it.

Oh f*** off with this shit man seriously. I dont care if people have criticism of the game, nothing is perfect. Your criticism is true of any multiplayer game though, if anyone needs to get a grip its you.

Oh 'that logic'. Just because it happens in any multiplayer game doesn't mean it's any less dumb. The game even says it evaluates players as if trying to balance out a match, which if it had done I'm sure it would have had at least one higher level player amongst the team of lower level players.

People say abilities don't matter and the likes, but you haven't even unlocked all your abilities and have less options than someone higher above you. It's dumb. Though, I did say it was probably due to it being early doors, so I'll give it that. Still, it'd be nice to have some superficial resemblance of 'balance'.

People already playing:

Is the exploration good?
Probably the only tging holding me back atm.
And is it meaningfull exploration? Like lore , Guns, shaders... Or just vistas and materials?

Thanx for responses!

I've enjoyed the exploration the most, for the most part it has been rewarding in regards to finding off the path locations and chests. Not sure there's been any lore, guns or shaders worth mentioning though.

So I just checked my tracking number and seen it says delivery for the 8th...WTF!

Spoke to the customer service team. I said to them about the tracking number and delivery date saying the 8th and was met with the following, "that is more than likely an error. The system is set to update every day and the delivery can still be made today, in fact, deliveries are made up until 9 PM so I'm sure you'll receive it by then". Sure I will, when it's fucking 400 miles a way!

Anyone know how big the patch is (if there is one) when going with disc on XB1? Like do I have to install something if I get the disc? Thanks.

It's day one of the game being out. Level doesn't equate to skill either, so it's going to take some time for the system to be able to match you with players of your skill level obviously. Which is why many games tend to have placement matches and things of that nature for ranked gameplay modes. In the case of Destiny the Skill Based Matchmaking is there, it's just going to take time for it to find where you fit in. In a couple weeks everyone will be level 20 so they don't even bother taking that into account I would image, especially since players who make multiple characters could very easily be just as skilled as a player that it level 20, even if their new character is only a level 1. They'll be at a disadvantage due to abilities and weapons, sure, but they're skill level should enable them to at least remain competitive. This just seems like an extremely silly complaint a few hours into the first day if you ask me.

Just arrived at the vault first time

I got the 2 Legendary emote but can't find the cabal emblem ? Any specific way ?

Anyone else get the exotic pulse rifle
Graviton Lance
and find it to be incredibly bad? Can't find anything redeemable about this thing.

I really liked how you were paired up with other guardians -- other people! --- while fighting with Zavala in the Tower/old social space. That was really fucking cool.

Yeah I loved that in the beta, especially how seamless it was and everything. Hope more story missions make effective use of that sort of thing, because it worked really well I think.

So you've ignored two attempts at an actual discussion on it to continue to bitch and reply with the same drivel you did before. Why are you ignoring a conversation to repeat the same stuff, presumably because my reply made too much sense?

Here it is again:

True, though the skills and how they're effectively used in PvP are really quite different to PvE. I get what you mean about the base knowledge but at the same time you could have someone level to cap and max-power in PvE and hop into PvP for the first time and be trash.

Level doesn't mean anything significant in normal crucible even after the launch period.

Right, so if it's so pointless why not 'balance' the team out superficially with a somewhat close average of player levels. Otherwise they're going to deter people from playing any more than the 2 games the quest asks you to play. For the record, I've played two, lost two. Both games I was on a team with lower numbers against a team with higher numbers. No doubt coincidental.

Game 1: Levels 2, 4, 5 v 5, 6, 7.
Game 2: 2, 5, 7 v 10, 11, 13.
