Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Didn't mind the fps in d1 but 3 years later the 30fps is killing my enjoyment of it. Controls feel sluggish isn't that bad in pve but makes the pvp terrible.

"We" as in "me and my pal ghost".
Actually it's being told from Ghost's perspective so it's "me and my pal Guardian".
I'll allow it.
For now.
But Ghost is close to getting punted into the lake since it can't remember where my sparrows are. I had dozens of them.

If you chose to start with one of your legacy characters, do you get a chance to edit their looks at all? I want some new hair!

You do not. That said, "legacy" is an account feature, not character-specific, so if you want to customize, just delete your char and create a new one. The game will still consider you to be 'returning' from D1 with all your accomplishments intact.

Nah, most D1 maps had a coherent structure with a clear middle area and some sidelanes with unique buildings/elements. (Maps not called dungeon or cauldron)
They may have proper laning, but they look and feel so incredibly generic to me. I'm glad others are able to enjoy though.

Thanks! Looks like I am going to re do the intro then.

cool thanks for this tip

ill remember that for my alts

The complete absence of
any new enemies
is infuriating. I just
saved Cayde and so far I'm killing the same creatures I was killing for 900 hours in D1.

It plays great, I have a lot of fun, but I don't see how this will have replayability for those who were tired of D1. My transition from "play everything" to "play only Trials" will probably happen much sooner than in D1.

Man the opening is so dumb, sats down, comms down, dudes are still joking and the first time they realize what's happening is when they see a ship one mile from their faces...

Jesus.

I'm in loooooove again!

Mmmph, Destiny, how I've missed you. I just wanted to try one mission today and I cant stop playing.

Well so far this feels like exactly what I wanted destiny 1 to be, and that's great. Way more fun to play through at the early levels, some actual story and characterization thrown in, and a much more streamlined feel to progression. Can't wait to see how the endgame stuff feels this time around.

Haven't started yet, I will when I get home today, but I am still debating which class to really start with. I was a Warlock main in the first game with both Titan and Hunter being kind of secondary. I will eventually create all three but for some reason I am really leaning towards Hunter just to have a different starting experience. Plus I always enjoyed the Hunter's double/triple jump movement more than the other two. Decisions, decisions.

Is the power level of engrams (exotic/legendary) now locked?

For example if I get an engram and its locked at 216power, will it stay stuck at that or scale up?

I really enjoyed D1 but this is seriously so good. I can't wait to get back into it tomorrow. Right now I'm lvl 8 (89).

I do have one question. I saw that people mentioned to leave milestones until last so you can reach max power level but one of the milestones says to go do the first mission on Titan which is part of the main story. How do I know what ones to leave? I also have a milestone to do 2 competitive rounds in Crucible.

Is it these milestones I leave (apart from the campaign ones) or is completely different ones? I'm still trying to figure out how everything works.

The game is definitely repetitive for vets. Fighting the same old enemies is growing stale a lot quicker, despite the many QoL improvements the game got.

Don't know how someone could love Rise of Iron, but yes, it's a big yay.

I didn't love it but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Getting the final boss puzzle fight down with my fire team was a struggle but sooo satisfying when we finally did it.

Work can't be over quick enough today, damn the anticipation.

Just waiting to get off work to go play this. Quick question: Is there HDR on the PS4 (Pro) version? I saw that it was coming, but I wasn't sure if it'd be there for launch.

Nothing Halo-like there if you're expecting vehicles and/or factions war around big environment.

There are two sections with non hovering vehicles, and those are quite boring for Bungie standards and what they achieved with vehicule gameplay during their Halo era

It's really in the line with Destiny 1. If you're looking for a new Halo in term of campaign/gameplay, you may be really disappointed. The biggest area I've been is still a large corridor, and firefight scenario where you have to defend a place from surrounding ennemies.

Thanks for this, this really where its hard to really get info. I actually decided to sit this out because I didn't see anything "jaw dropping" and most reviews were basically saying that this game didn't have the problems that the first game had which would be a given at the least (one would hope).

After almost 1000 hours in the first game it will be really damn hard to convince me to come back from being completely burned out. This would have helped with little changes in core mechanics to make grinding engagements less familiar, such as introduction of status effect, no real arc type changes (ice would have been nice), no new subclasses but tweaks that feel more showy than fundamentally changing how you engage enemies. I'm a bit disappointed that Taken enemies weren't removed for the introduction of another threat that could be currently minor (maybe appearing one planet) but point to whats in store for the future.

So, how many planet materials do you have to give to the NPC to get something? Gave 2 of the ones you get in Titan and didn't even get rep or anything.

edit: I'm reading they're supposed to give you rep. Maybe it's broken right now.

I'm sure this has been asked many times but do i lose something if i delete my old D1 characters and make a new one? I want to change the appearance.

Glad I got a few hours in last night. It's a shame that my prime destiny time will be occupied by prepping for the hurricane en route to devour my state. Thanks Irma.
